Was super excited to explore this Costco in Tijuana. Very easy to access and a lot of parking. It was not overly crowded, but it was also a Thursday afternoon. All Costco layouts are pretty much the same, so I was easily able to maneuver my way through where I needed to get to. We were there for the weekend, so we wanted to stock up on tequila and seltzer water as well as try some food at the food court. Lots of different options to pick from, and you do see some savings, especially coming from the US. The store was very clean, and people were friendly. Always fun to shop here. I've bought clothes, groceries, beauty supplies, and contacts. The optical center accepted my US prescription and I was able to purchase contacts. The price is comparable to the US. Not everything is a cost savings. Make sure to scan your parking ticket for validation before you exit the store. This review is for folks who are in the USA and curious what the Costco in Mexico is like. First, I'm a fan of Costco and from what I saw, the products sold and layout are very similar to what you get in the US. But, the differences (for the better IMO) between this Tijuana Costco and a So Cal Costco are: 1) They have an automated mini donut maker that makes cinnamon sugar donuts 2) They offer a mango smoothie that is really good. They had this in the US and I also tried it but that was nasty tasting and has been removed from the menu. 3) They have mayonnaise and pickled jalapenos as condiments for the hot dogs. I didn't get to try the Torta Al Pastor but it does sound good. Tip for the US folks... they can only scan your actual Costco membership card to pay as the QR code in the Costco app will not work. I was lucky as a person ahead of me realized what happened so he offered his card to scan. And, if you are okay to walk, you can walk here from Avenue Revolution but there are some areas near the freeway so be careful. read more

Shopping in Tijuana, Mexico... Our friend, Emmett, had a great idea to check out this location of Costco to compare... I didn't even know that there was a Costco in Tijuana - and that it was within walking distance from all of the taco places that we were visiting. It was a productive stop because some of us used the restroom; some of us bought snacks at the Food Court, such as churros and mango smoothies; and some of us learned about products unique to this Costco - such as the mini donuts! We didn't want to carry anything with us during the rest of our Foodie Tour, nor lug anything across the border with us. So - we really did only look... I liked the orchid and anthurium plants. We browsed through the clothing and snacks. We tried to learn some Spanish and read merchandise labels, too! I was intrigued by the way the churros and smoothies could be ordered on a tablet at the Food Court. We don't have this system in Honolulu yet. It makes the payment and ordering process more efficient. Another observation by our group was that there's no self-service checkout stations in the warehouse. Hmmm... Interesting, eh? read more

They sell over the counter medicine here that you would need a prescription for in the United States. They have a different selection of some items as opposed to the USA Costco's . I can find neat made in Mexico only snacks and other items which is why we've always enjoyed coming in here . They accept your USA Costco membership and can even pay with the USA Citibank credit card here . The parking is plentiful and very safe , security guards everywhere watching your car and keeping customers safe . I love this Costco and will continue to patronize it each and every time we're in Tijuana . read more

So this is the Only Costco here in this side of Mexico. Because the one in Rosarito is completely closed. And google will say it is open and give you directions if you are in the area of Rosarito. Do not I repeat DO NOT follow that because it will take you to residential area and there is nothing there. So in TJ, Mexico this Costco is the same size as any other Costco. The prices are the same as the U.S. so if you think you're getting a good deal you really are not. The ONLY good deal is getting a membership. Oh and maybe the pastries which is $1. Cheaper. So pretty much you are paying regular price for products that is shipped from the US. I did get some good deals on moisturizer but then the size of the bottle is smaller. It was on sale so I didn't mind. I got the donuts that they make in the bakery section. It was delish. And the chocolate chip cookies was ok. The food court has NOTHING different. The hot dog is more than the US. But so is their rotisserie chicken. They do have some different items like the pizza in the back of the store. And they had a cold quiche that we don't have. Not bad. Taste good. But majority of the items we had and some like the smokies sausage was a different brand. Parking is OMG crazy. read more

Costco in Mexico has a lot of great stuff that US doesn't. Most things are around the same price but they do have great deals on other items especially on tires, so much cheaper and on top of that gift cards. read more

It's almost exactly the same as the Costco's in the United States. The prices are not any cheaper so don't expect to come here and save money. Actually a lot of the American goods are a couple dollars more, most likely due to the import tax that they have to pay. The thing that is cheaper here is to get the Costco card membership it's 500 pesos roughly around US$25. The lines here are just as bad if not worse than the lines in the American Costco's. For me it is more convenient to buy a lot of the stuff that I buy in America here because it's easier for me to get the stuff home to my place instead of having to cross the border with a bunch of frozen items so yes I do recommend it if you live in Tijuana but not if you're an American crossing over specifically to go to This Costco thinking you're going to save money to buy things and then bring it back across the border. read more

Cashier was friendly but really disappointed in the rotisserie chicken. It's like half the size it is in the US and the chicken is yellow?? Why is it yellow? I went last December and the chicken was exactly like the one in the US. The chicken honestly grossed me out. The parking is also awful. So hard to find a spot and seems like they're building even more stores in the parking lot. Once those open finding a parking spot is gonna be even worst. read more

I don't know how employees of big corporation's such as Costco get away with providing such low low looooow customer service! I joined my pregnant friend on a trip to Costco for a slice of pizza for about an hour long wait (if you know those pregnancy cravings you know it's real thing) my friend offered saying it was her treat, I waited towards the side by the condiments, she put in the order and the cashier ( Sarahi ) said she would only sell her one individual slice of pizza! Shocked my friend asked why she couldn't purchase two? Sarahi replied "because I know you are buying it for her (pointing at me) and she has to purchase her own", my friend explained (more than she had to )that I do not have a membership so my friend instead said she would take a full pizza...nope! The cash register lady refused to sell it to my friend (who has a membership) I can not believe how far this Costco cashier employee went to target me and refuse a paying customer/member service. No human being should have to experience the level of evil it takes for a woman to go out of her way and bully a person over a slice of pizza especially being a hungry pregnant woman. Decided to go into the TJ Costco to compare prices with the ones I visit in San Diego. This store was a typical Costco layout with just about the same prices (but in MXN). There are some products available that aren't popular or even sold in the US, but overall it's just Costco in another city. I tried some samples of Tasters Choice coffee and bread which I probably wouldn't have encountered in the US because it isn't popular that way in the States. I also hadn't seen that brand in years or in a Costco. It was actually hard to tell that it was instant coffee. I was jealous that they had a ton of very large pecan pies for sale. They were about $15 though, but I was still tempted to buy it and bring one home. I hadn't seen those hit the shelves of my local San Diego Costco yet. Anyway, good to know that the store is there if I needed it. While there were no bargains to be had, there were some products that aren't usually sold in the US that makes this Costco interesting to me. For the most part, I think I'd rather spend money with local vendors since that's what tourism is all about. read more

I purchased a laptop that appeared to me as an open item, box not sealed, missing parts, therefore I went back to return it since I purchased a new item and I was not 100% satisfied with what I got. Well it was an event to get it returned, Mireya (im assuming a supervisor) just didn't have a positive attitude at all, when I asked her to check if they had the same item but sealed she just disappeared, I waited like 5 min just standing for an answer. Bad service, still this has been the only time I had a bad experience at costco therefore I wont give it less than 3 stars. read more

I bought the rosca de reyes an it was awful. The bread was not a rosca bread and it was filled with an overly sweet cream filling.

I've placed many Costco orders online, most have been successful. BUT if it's not good luck getting your money back! I bought 3 hair dryers that were never delivered (Fedex didn't deliver them), you can even see from my order that they were never delivered and Fedex said Costco requested that they send them back. I spoke to Costco but got the run around, emailed them and they ignored me, then finally responded to say they would look into it but never got back to me. I went into Costco in Cabo, thought I finally got somewhere, they said they would credit back my card and gave me a claim number. No credit was applied to my card, and when we called them they said they couldn't look anything up with the number they gave me. Think twice before ordering online!!!!! In Canada or the US this would not have been an issue at all! Super pissed off with Costco! read more

I thought I could get some really good bargains here compared to USA, but not so much. I was also interested in renewing my membership in Mexico, thinking I could save a few bucks over the $60 I pay every year in the USA. Disappointing - you can get a Mexico only Costco card for $35, but a card that works in the USA is the same price - $60. They have basically the same prices on TV's etc. I guess if you are buying jewelry or a $1000+ TV you might save a few bucks on taxes or whatever, but generally not worth the hassle. It's pretty clean and nice inside. They have some items you can't get in the US, and of course, the tequila section is much larger. The pharmacy is actually higher priced than I have seen at the legit name brand pharmacies out in town. So all in all, it's OK. I could see me stopping here for beer, water, meat, on the way down to Rosarita or Ensenada for a weekend, but nothing here would propel me to come across the border to get if I wasn't already in TJ. read more

Typical costco. Long long lines. Good prices in their pharmacy which is what I came for. I hate bargaining in downtown pharmacies. Your US Costco card is valid here. I paid with pesos that I had exchanged at the Costco in Chula Vista. Cost me 50 pesos ($2.50) to get a cab from downtown TJ to here. read more
