Jason Carranza with Fiberglass It is a total scam. He tried to charge me 4-5 times what it would normally cost to fix my unit. Then, when I asked him why he was 5 times more than everyone else, he started cursing at me, yelling, and calling me a "fking dik." Could you imagine that coming from a business owner when I'm the customer? Then I tried to calm him down and finally showed him, via text, the same repair at a different place. He said, "I don't give a sh@@." Meanwhile, he had quoted me $3,000--maybe even $5,000--for an $800 repair. Total con artist. I will continue to blast him all over the internet. I came in with an issue with my bow eye. After a quick check, we added a couple other small repairs and a keel cap. The only thing you can notice without a deep inspection is the keel cap and it looks okay in cobalt white. Service was fantastic! Im very late in making this un-solisitated post due to personal reasons. However, the fact that i wanted to share my experience with FiberglassIT has never left my mind even though I rarely ever post comments about a business that simply does the work you paid for. FiberglassIT is an exception to my rule. "FIBERGLASSIT" What a great place to have any type of fiberglass repair along with ways to protect the hull of your boat when pulling up on shore. I initially chose FiberglassIT from a referral of a friend who also had some fiberglass repair done to their boat. They also installed a keel guard for him to protect the hull of his boat. I took mu boat to FiberglassIT after striking a submerged piece of wood that ripped a large chunk of gel coat from the port side hull near the keel. I was concerned that the repair would stand out like a sore thumb since it was probably an 8x10 area that was damaged. I was pleased after I saw the repair that was barely visible. In fact, if you didn't know about the patchwork, you'd never know where it was! Thank God for insurance and for leading me to their company. Their workmanship is top quality, and they are not only priced fairly, but they are 100% customer service oriented. But, the fiberglass repair is only part of the story... I live out of state but own a mobile home at Lake Mead. It was not easy for me to pick my boat up after the work was completed. The shop owner offered to keep my boat for me until such time could return to Nevada to pick the boat up. It was carefully stored securely behind locked gates at all times. I happened to casually mention that I was looking for someone to repair or replace my damaged bimini top. I explained that I had called several shops, and all were booked weeks ahead. They referred me to a couple of different vendors who were also just too busy to help me in a reasonable amount of time. Seems all we're busy due in part to the rapidly approaching summer. I had pretty much given up when the owner made a suggestion to buy a pre-made bimini top and save a lot of money by doing so. He was right in that I bought a pre-made top for 1/4 th of the cost. Even if the top only lasted a couple of seasons, I would still be saving money by doing so as I could replace it myself 3 more times and still be ahead financially. Don't let the business name of "FiberglassIT" fool you into thinking that's all they do. The fact is that thir employees too are creative and talented in their own ways. Not only did they install the bimini top I purchased, but they also did an awesome detail on my boat and restored the faded gel coat on my boat. This was not a service that they advertised as far as I know. Again, it came up during a conversation when I asked for a referral to a boat detailing service. Finally, I can tell you that they are very accommodating to the needs of their customers, whether they do the work or not. An example of this is that because boating season was approaching, I wanted to have my boat serviced as I do every year to keep it in good running condition. Since I lived out of state, they assisted me in finding a boat repair facility that would do the work for me. Long story short, that service, too, was accomplished. It couldn't have happened without their coordination and assistance. From what i have learned based upon my experience with FiberglassIT, they are all about the customer and are more than happy to help you with most anything. Their workmanship is top-notch and reasonably priced. My boat initially went to FiberglassIT for a repair to its hull and came back to me after having everything else i wanted done to it,,, a fantastic fiberglassrepair, a 50-hr service, a new bimini top, and a 31 year old boat that looks new!
