Dave helped us with methods on how to help handle Knox's excitement when new people come into the house and to keep him calm when he sees dogs on walks and some things in-between, providing step-by-step instructions for ways we can work with him to get him to those calm places. We really liked his approach and the kindness he showed our dogs. It was our first time in, and they were friendly on the phone and friendly when we came in. The environment was welcoming and felt like a grooming party in there with all the pups! Drea (coincidentally also my name--meant to be!) bathed Maui, and by the end, they were pals. Maui was following her around until we came to pick him up, which made me feel great about dropping him off for the first time. Maui was happy, clean, and very floofy! Zack was completely awesome through and through. My dog and another were first-timers, so Zack walked us through all the ground rules and what to expect. I loved that he doesn't force the dogs to go in the water, but also doesn't just let them avoid it. He noticed my dog was just having fun running AROUND the pool, but wouldn't try and swim, just splash on the shallow part. So he would go and get him and baby-step him into the deep side. It was so refreshing to see! I love how considerate it is. The staff is also all so great and nice. The facility is impressive and well-thought out. I love it.
