I debated for over a year whether or not to try this place. I finally talked to my doctor about it:…read morebeing otherwise healthy, other than having weight to lose, we decided I should try it, so I called and made an appointment. While the woman answering the phones was friendly, she was clearly either new or just had absolutely no idea about anything that goes on there aside from her phone duties. None of my questions could be answered. I told her it was important that I speak with a doctor there on my first visit, I was not coming to talk to a nurse or NP about my weight for the initial visit. She eventually told me that's how it would work, without actually confirming it, so the appointment was made for May. After speaking with my private physician again, I called back to make sure I would indeed be meeting with this Dr. Weisberg, the doctor who is the front and center face of the practice and the only doctor listed on their website. It was only then I was told this man doesn't really see weight loss patients here and that he "prefers to work with his cosmetic surgery clients" and that there is another physician there I "MIGHT" (she said MIGHT!) be able to speak with. (This according to the nice but seemingly clueless lady who makes the appointments.) After a lot of back and forth I asked if their practice manager could speak with me so that I could get an idea of how this place works before entrusting my health and body to them. I was promised that the manager or a nurse practitioner would call me back before the end of that day... Well, it's been over a month, more in fact, and no such call ever materialized. I've come to realize this is apparently one of 'those' clinics, one I never wanted to visit and one I was so worried this might be. I won't be making that appointment I made and like them, I won't do the favor of calling to let them know. I will however be giving that feedback to my doctor and his large practice and will be sharing my own experience via other review websites so that others will understand how this place works before going to the trouble of finding out themselves. All I wanted was a basic overview of the program and confirmation that I would be meeting with a physician. Unfortunately, no one seems to be in control of this practice and if they are, it's a style of management I would never apply to my own business. What a shame.

After December 2016 you will PAY UP FRONT and then go argue with your insurance company. Although…read moreas of the 11/16/16 their website still indicates they accept insurances that they no longer work with. A "new patient $45.00 fee" was instituted AFTER I made my first appt. They said they would see me weekly for the first 8 weeks but after week 3 they went to every other week citing that was "ok with the program". Really it was because they were not getting full reimbursement from my insurer. After these changes were implemented in October and November 2016 then two of the doctors: Whiting and Ciderna "retired and wanted to pursue other endeavors" respectively. Later I found out that Dr Weisburg and his previous partner had a falling out and that was the dissolution of the predecessor to this Center. Not only was this news delivered via email from Christopher Mosunic, the new mental health professional who happens to also be the new VP of Operations. If Chris is truly invested as a mental health professional then they might consider a conflict of interest to also be the person making the fiscal decisions that effect their patients. Finally, the staff is unhappy and you can see it/hear it/feel it. They give about 15 minutes tops to ask questions with no follow up whatsoever. For example: "Did you follow your diet?" So I say, "Yes, but I am bored with the selections. Can we write out a plan?" the response is, "No, but I can give you a recipe." This is the level of expertise in weight management that I was offered. If the above is not enough the deter you from this please note is no dietician or nutritionist on staff. And there is no dedicated, independent mental health professional like LCSW, LCPC, or Psyc D on staff. The good news is that if you read this far, you know that across town anew10.com does the same weight loss program. (This is Dr Weisburg's former business partner). They do the medically management weight loss program without the stress of the above impediments to participation.
