There were many times I tried other chiropractors. I would commit to treatment only to feel let down, never quite pain free. I was learning to accept a constant level of discomfort. Most recently in August something got stuck and I could not bend my spine forward. I saw a chiropractor several times a week for several weeks. I also received 1 or 2 massages a week over that time. Nothing helped. At that time I kept thinking of Dr. Scott. I looked him up on Google and could not believe he was as close as Dover, NH. My first visit was October 4th. She had been going here for years and swore by them. So, I made an appointment and kept it! And, you know - here it is about 5 months later and I'm really glad I did. I met with Dr. Cayer for an initial assessment which included x-rays and thermo scans. From here, he sat down and showed my where my "problem" areas were and shared with me a treatment plan. It seemed like an aggressive plan - 4 weeks with 3 visits per week, 4 weeks at 2 per week, and then onto a maintenance plan of once a week Now, I must admit a couple things. One - getting "cracked" scared the crap out of me. And, two - I wasn't really sure I believe it would help. Well - the getting "cracked" part is still very weird to me, but I definitely believe it works. My back is SO MUCH better. I have bad days here and there, but they are few and far between. And, the pain doesn't stop me from doing anything anymore. I look forward to my weekly visit - and it only takes 5 minutes. In and out! I've also used their massage therapy services and Mindy has given me the best massages I've had - at a much lower price point than any of the fancy spas I've visited in the past. I have unfortunately had lots of back pain throughout my life so I have gone to chiropractors for a long time living most of the year in Westchester County just north of NYC. And the chiropractor I have there is amazing. I have a house in Wells, near Sanford, and have been coming up here all my life, but have never needed any help with my back when I have been up in Maine, but recently for some reason I have had tingling all along my right side. I was so worried about it that I even went to the hospital here to check if I was having a stroke. I was a little wary of going to a new chiropractor here in Maine since I love mine in NY, but I worked with Dr. Brett Cole at Brink Chiropractic clinic and he was amazing! He spent so much time with me working to diagnose where my problems were stemming from and then once he had figured it out, all along the way he checked to see that I was okay when he did any kind of stretch or adjustment. He was so caring and so professional. He did not rush and I felt so cared for and after spending almost 1 1/2 hours with him, I felt so much better and have continued to feel better the whole day. He reassured me that what we were doing together would help my issues and he talked to me about stretches that I can do to help with my issues going forward. For two weeks I have been worried that my issues were related to something more than just my back and my shoulder pain and after working with Dr. Cole I feel so much better after just one session. I feel more like my old self and I am reassured that the issues that I have can be helped with the stretches that he recommended and by going back for more treatments with him.
