I can't recommend Fields Roof Services based on my experience, primarily due to poor communication and a failure to honor what was discussed. Throughout the process, getting a response was a struggle. Phone calls and emails went unanswered, the person I was trying to reach was constantly out of the office and unavailable and I was repeatedly left waiting without updates. For a project as significant as roofing work, that lack of basic communication is frustrating and unprofessional. The bigger problem was the scope of work. We discussed specific details up front, but those items were never written into the work order. When I later raised the discrepancies, they wouldn't agree that those conversations had happened the way they did -- so work I understood to be included simply wasn't, and there was no written record to point back to. In the end, that gap cost me more money, as I had to pay to have things addressed that I believed were part of the original agreement. I'd caution anyone considering Fields Roof Services to get every single detail of your scope of work in writing before signing. Don't rely on conversations -- if it isn't on the work order, you may find yourself paying extra for work you thought was already covered. I was recently called out by a gentlemen to look at a new solar installation for his new roof in Mercer Island. When I got to the project site FRS was on the roof starting the tear off, and were not wasting time. The crew was working efficiently and diligently, making sure that the drops under the eaves were completely covered so no stray debris would be missed during clean up and found later by children or pets. The team was very respectful of people onsite and of the family in the house and left a great impression of their team. A week later I came out for our preconstruction inspection for the solar installation and the roof was beautifully done. Very pleased with Field's. They responded quickly and were very respectful of my home. The initial leak repair didn't hold though, as Seattle went through back-to-back "atmospheric river" events with sustained and very heavy rain. As soon as I saw more moisture and dripping, I called them back and they had a crew at my home within the hour! The 2nd fix has held. The only negatives: - I asked for an estimate and the first crew came only ready to work. I wasn't about to have them do work with no idea of a price! Had to do some frantic phone calling to get the estimate first. Turned out to be a better price by about 6% than another contractors, so I let them commence work on the spot. -However, they communicated what they found directly to their supervisor; didn't take any pictures of the roof condition to show me, as the other company did. -Can't get them to bill me!! I keep calling and requesting an invoice so I can pay them, but it's been weeks and still nothing. Must be free, LOL! read more

Overall I am very disappointed with the service at Fields Roofing. Countless delays and setbacks in scheduling is what I've learned to expect from them. Leaving branches left on the side of my home and on top of one of my blueberry bushes was not appropriate. Outsourcing gutter work to an unreliable service is the MO for Fields Roofing as well. If they state they will call you next week on Monday for an update on when to next expect their workers to come out and finish the job started, don't hold your breath. read more

When asked to turn down the music they claimed that they didn't speak English, so we used a phone to translate. When he understood my request he replied by calling me a "puta" aka whore. From start to finish, couldn't be more pleased. I called to have roof inspected and get a quote for roof replacement. Chad came out next day to inspect and do quote. He explained in detail what he saw and what to expect if we were to hire them. He also showed me the singles and other product that would be used and gave me a color guide to choose my shingle color. He emailed a detailed quote with multiple options and pricing the next day. I had some questions and he answered them quickly and informative. Luiz and his crew showed up on time, layed plastic all around the perimeter of the house and garage to maintain clean area and were very respectful of the property. I really appreciated Chad coming out each day to check on status of the roof and see if I had any questions/concerns. They did clean up when all done and everything looked great. The price was great as well as I had 4 quotes and They were very competitive. I feel that it was worth every penny. Choosing Fields was the biggest mistake I have made in a long time. I was ignored by Chad and everyone for over 6 weeks. I heard nothing from them at all, not even a 'thank you' email for selecting them to do the job. Once I called them, honestly, to find out if they were even still in business I got a very ho-hum response and a casual 'I'll see if I can find your name...' When they did show up to do the roof replacement I thought everything was going to go alright, wrong. They damaged my gutters and I had to replace them, they had dragged out some concrete blocks from my back yard and just left them in the driveway. I had asked to not have Chad involved in my project but them found out, he was still involved even after being told he wouldn't be. Then things went really bad. My roof leaks like a sieve! They come out to "fix" it 3 times now and it gets worse every time the come out! Dealing with them is getting to be real chore and its been months now and I still have a leaking roof! If I had it to do over again, I would never, ever choose Fields Roofing, ANYONE would have been better. read more

Very very nice people to work with but workmanship wasn't so much. 4 day job took 3 weeks.They eventually made it just ok but not until I went over a multiple page punch list with them. Apparently they hired a new employee that started on my house and he cut a lot of corners and just didn't do acceptable work. He no longer is with them I am told but that really didn't help me much.
