The gym equipment= typical gym equipment, most are usually in working order. They provide cleaning wipes, but I'm not sure the muscle heads are aware of the purpose of these disposable sanitizing pieces of proper gym etiquette. They offer personable training that is somewhat typically priced based on other gyms, but they usually always are running some kind of special to get more business... They also sell the typical gym stuff... (Pre work out juices and such... Powdered metal shakes, socks, shirts, water.... Etc... Etc....etc. Olympic sized swimming pool, and they even offer spin classes, zumba,ETC....etc....

I tried to forget about it but it seemed to get worse as I made my way to the bathroom. I opened the door and was greeted with hundreds of roaches and maggots. There was even an old mop pocket with weird goop just lying about. I immediately left the premises but not before the manager said some unkind words about my figure (don't feel like sharing...i'm still dealing with that trauma). DO NOT! SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! They need to be shut down expeditiously.

Needless to say, I was happy to get out of the house and start my gym routine back up. I've been to plenty of AF gyms as a student, but this one really left me scratching my head. The post-quarantine protocol directions were not fully clear, and the equipment options are seriously lacking. Working out was not worth the health risk, honestly. Plus, the location already seemed a little dirty. As a woman of color, I was not greeted in a manner that seemed appropriate considering the current climate of our country. I grew up in this town and literally felt like I was being treated as an outsider. I genuinely didn't know what to say. This location gets ONE star from me.

I got into a horrible car accident and called in to freeze the membership not even cxl. The manger refuses to talk to customers and send messages through the employees. Female stated my freeze would be handled and that was it. It is March and this club is still trying to get money from account and I have not been since Jan because I'm unable too. Called again and he/she refuses to talk the call. If I could far it negative for the customer service alone I would. DO BETTER

The woman's restroom had a tiny bit of trash but nothing I wouldn't fault them for in the big picture. I never knew how important windows would be to the overall feel but they are plentiful and it is so bright. Lots of space which means more available equipment. The abs and 30 minute areas are well maintained. I've been to some locations that seem to let these areas go. The black card spa...WOW! It has low lighting and a really inviting atmosphere. All the tanning beds and stand-ups look new (I haven't used them to tell if all the bulbs are working). The location is easily accessible from any of the surrounding roads. Plenty of parking. Overall, I can't wait to get back to the gym, especially at this good looking Planet Fitness.

On top of that several of my friends and I discovered that she was charging a maintenance fee unbeknownst to any of the members. She had the members' credit card information, and she was going to charge it no matter what, without even telling people. And when friends of ours brought it to her attention, she got completely argumentative, even though she was completely caught in her tangled, web of lies and deceit. I would not recommend this gym to anyone relocating to Fernandina. There are many better options without all the drama.

The reason I can't give 5 stars is because of a few bumps in the road. I showed up for spin class in the evening 7:30pm (I had asked front desk earlier in the day to make sure it was still on) and instructor was a no show, office was closed, so couldn't ask anyone. Some of the cardio equipment was out of order or had monitor issues and the wireless internet advertised was not available. Know that you must bring your own towel also. The place was clean and well maintained, just needs a few tweaks and class consideration.

I have finally found a get fit program that works for me. This is a FANTASTIC workout and I am…read moreloving it! I enjoy knowing throughout my day I have already completed a great workout program. By working out in the morning I don't have to make excuses in the afternoon when I get home from work (i.e. too tired, have to go to the grocery store, too hot, kids homework, etc). Others at work are feeling sluggish and I am feeling great! Give Savannah Boot Camp a try!!!
