I'm not a gym rat by any means, and have never really been comfortable on the fitness scene... however, krys has helped me feel at home in the gym here! His clientele range from young kids on school sports teams, to super strong men lifting absurd amount of weights, to folks like me just trying to not be out of breath trying my shoelaces, to 80 year old young men and women who out lift people half their age! For those new to the gym scene, Krys is there to offer tailored programs to ease you into it based on your needs, fitness level, and desired outcome. For those who know what they're doing and just need a place to workout, the gym is fully stocked with anything you need.. just pop in some ear buds and do your thing, no need to worry about people bugging or getting in the way. We discovered that Planet Fitness had continued charging them the entire time. Close to 10 years for people in their 70-80's, and no one bothered to reach out to them. They just kept sucking money from their account. My mom passed away on March 6th, and I learned about this disgusting practice as we were digging through my folks bank statements. So I drove to the Lawton Planet Fitness as I was grieving her death because they would only help me in person. I arrived and talk to someone at the front desk. They went and talk to their manager to make sure that both accounts were closed, and to see about getting some sort of refund for all of those years of their never being able to even use the gym because of their advanced age and health. This Planet Fitness refused to do. What I was told that they would do was immediately cancel both memberships and refund their yearly renewal which had just taken place, albeit not even the month that the yearly renewal had taken place. On March 12th, I flew back to Baton Rouge believing at least some of this mess was taken care of. This did not happen. No refund has ever hit their bank account, and on March 20th they were each once again billed for a monthly membership, including my deceased mother! Do not use these disgusting scam artists! They will lie, cheat, and steal their way into your bank account, and NEVER leave! Even when you DIE!
