Currently , while at this property, the prices were comparable to Hyatt, however I feel Hilton's value doesn't deserve a price similar to Hyatt. The food isn't as good, sometimes some of the food would run out (bacon was always empty and papaya was not available daily).The options are wider at Ziva, more restaurants and more bars. Also, at times certain areas felt like a bottle neck at Hilton ( buffet and 4th floor elevators). Riu, to me always felt more economical. You get an awesome bang for your buck there. In terms of offerings, I feel Hilton is closer to Riu however they are charging a Hyatt Ziva premium. Hiltons cafe is not even apart of the all inclusive like Hyatt is. For the price, I choose Hyatt ziva, and even if Hilton reduced their price by 20%, I would probably choose Riu. I think Hilton needs to offer a little more at a lower price to be competitive.

When you enter through the front gates, they check every car entering to make sure they are guests. Then you drive through a pretty, scenic route to the hotel. The service was excellent from the first moment of arriving. We loved the room we stayed in, it was huge and had everything we needed. The hotel is very private so we did not have any other guests staying that close to our villa. During our stay we noticed there were not a whole lot of guests which was very nice. The ratio of workers to guests was crazy, there had to be 5-10 workers per guest. The layout of the resort is spread out so we did a lot of walking. Our villa came with a dedicated butler to our room. He helped us with anything and everything we needed. We definitely felt very spoiled! There are several pools and they are all amazing. One is a private pool for adults only. However there were only a few kids we saw the whole time we stayed here. The restaurants have amazing food. The beachfront is very pretty and there are plenty of lounge chairs to hangout at. The workers come to you on the beach to take drink orders. We had some very chill and relaxing days where we did not leave the resort but it was fun to do some of the excursions too. We loved the spa too; it was one of the best massages I've gotten. Overall, this resort is a dream and I would love to go back.

The one exception was the towel lady who was a bit brusque- but that stood out because everyone else was so great. * Breakfast was solid, with varieties of bread, fruit, omelettes/waffle station, bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal bar, green and fresh orange juice every day. We ate there every morning and didn't get too bored. Cons: * Walls seemed pretty thin. I could hear other people using their key cards (just the clicking sound) late at night when I was in my room, and sound of other TVs and chatter in the hall. The people above us seemed to be dragging furniture around frequently which was also noisy. * The property as a whole is pretty dated and needs some renovation. We checked out the Marriott which had nicer pools (infinity pools) and seems much less run down. They also have a nice looking spa and a much larger fitness center (available for Westin guests while the construction is happening). The room seemed somewhat dated, and particularly the bathrooms could use a refresh. * The construction was a minor annoyance- a couple restaurants on site were closed.

Despite the low-season my friends and I have had a spectacular time. EVERYONE at this property is extremely welcoming and particularly friendly. How they continue to serve the guests under such difficult weather conditions is beyond me, yet they somehow pull it off. Edgar from the bell desk was particularly welcoming and made an excellent first impression which got our trip off to an excellent start. His crew were very helpful and took us to and from our room as needed. Amarana restaurant was phenomenal. Hearty Asian flare is not something I would have expected to enjoy while it Mexico but it was fantastic. We loved the live music and ambiance. Our room was well apportioned with a view of the ocean and an easy walk to the pool and beach. I can't wait to come back and enjoy this property when the weather is a little more comfortable.

We took advantage of fishing, taco making, snorkeling, kayaking, and an aquacise class. Pools are wonderful and the lazy river was so great! I hope to come back some day!

The property is right on beach, has a family pool and adult swim area with hot tubs in both areas. We booked a hotel room that had a small pool access from the patio. They have 2 swim up bars, a children's play area, spa and an excellent workout room. I was told they will be renovating the hotel this summer 2026, which is needed in some areas, such as the spa. It was a very enjoyable visit other than the cartel action and I would stay here again if I come back to Puerto Vallarta.

The entire dish tastes like sweet sauce. -Zen: Omg this place was a nightmare, the evening we came a kid was crying nonstop so loud the server said I'm sorry I can't do anything. Everything tasted like shit. Soup: white paste with slices of raw red onions and 2 pieces of tofu...wtf is that! Banana Roll Sushi: tasteless with rice that was overcooked and old. Sadly we saw this same item and many others from Zen at the breakfast buffet the next day. That really made it sad to be here. -Marketplace: the food was so limited it was sad. They include ground transportation and that's a worry free deal Airport tip: when exiting the airport you are going to inundated with people trying to get you to take their ride OR sell you an excursion - take the free tequila and move on. As for the resort - amazing. 1st class. During check in, more tequila in the form of a good margarita. Or dos. So on to the room. We booked a studio room. Tip - small and no view but the cheapest. When we checked in, we upgraded to a jr suite (not sure if that's what it is called) and by upgrading at the front desk, about 1/2 the cost if we had booked that room originally. It's a gamble as they maybe booked up, it worked for us as off-peak. Additionally, we did all inclusive. This room was great. Separate bedroom. Large living room. Good view of resort and decent of. Each. Higher up the better. Well stocked kitchen. Firm but comfy bed. Nice bathroom, but small if two are trying to get ready. Nice balcony view. And cold A/C. The food. Two restaurants. One inside and more formal - dress code and reservations (at night). And one beachside. They call it a steak house but steakhouse it is not. Much more diverse menu. Buffet. Salad and fruit bar. Lots of options. Breakfast is great. Open all day. Ice cream bar as well. We never ate at the formal restaurant- just don't fit the schedule of our timing or vibe. Only heard good things. The pools. One smaller that is for adults only. One in the middle that's a kiddie pool. And the big one that's for everyone. Swim up bar is nice. The adult only and large one for everyone is connected via a walking "lazy river". Pool side service for food and drinks. Lots of sitting area. Additional, there is a row of lounge chairs that face the ocean. Very relaxing. On the beach, there are numerous cabañas with chairs and lounge chairs. No reservations needed. The wedding was awesome on a pier that shoots out over the water. It was as my wife called it, "very traditional Hispanic wedding". Service was over and above. Top notch. Room service was quick when needed. The only negative to the resort was the lack of an indoor bar. You can get drinks in the lobby, but no bar. Odd. Not a lot else to say. Definitely one of the nicer ones. Considering the price point, I don't think a lot of spring breakers will be here. Not a lot of late night partying from what we saw and we were there Wed-Mon. A lot more snow birds than young'ens. We had a great time. You should to.

I know what to expect, which is not much. And still they missed. Quick interlude - the staff here was amazing. Friendly and helpful. The rooms are great too. And the location is super easy from the airport. So as long as you don't care about the food, you're in good hands. But if you do care about enjoying your burger by the pool, or a nice sit down meal with family, or a late night order of chips and guac (actually that one was ok), I'd keep looking. They had a burger shack but the burgers were so salty and poorly made. It's a burger - you can make great burgers with cheap ingredients and little skill. And as a burger stand, this was kind of your only job. I couldn't believe they missed here. The restaurant on the beach was beautiful. The food was not. Everything felt hastily thrown together, bland, and overcooked. We got better at ordering as the week went on - it was survival at that point. You can, for example, get a breakfast burrito and add hashbrowns and breakfast sausage and end up in a pretty good place. But thinking back, there wasn't a single meal I genuinely enjoyed for the food. And also...why don't resorts in Mexico have taco stands? That seems like such an easy win...I feel deep shame that I spent a week in Mexico and did not eat a taco... Anyone know any food forward AI resorts in Mexico? I still love this format for big family get togethers, but a guy's gotta eat...
