Celebrated my birthday here with my twin sister. What an amazing property. We were welcomed with a delicious welcome drink and once we got to the room there was chips, guacamole, and margaritas waiting for us. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Food was great also. I especially loved the sushi at Aramara but the tacos were great too! The report has lots of activities to do also, some cost money but they have plenty of free ones also. We took advantage of fishing, taco making, snorkeling, kayaking, and an aquacise class. Pools are wonderful and the lazy river was so great! I hope to come back some day! read more

All I can say is this place is "world class" in every category that you can rate a hotel resort. I came in with high expectations, and the Four Seasons in Punta Mita surpassed them. THE VIEW The Four Seasons has the best ocean views I have ever seen. And what's amazing is the resort sits at the tip of the peninsula, so in almost any direction you look, you cannot miss the breathtaking view. SERVICE Something you should know which isn't advertised on the resort's website (but you will discern when you meet any of their staff) is that this is a highly desirable place to work. What I gathered through my many interactions over the course of my 8-day stay was the young staff are high performers in their trade and made it here through rounds of judicious, rigorous hiring. Staff you see who might be more mature in age are here because they have MASTERED their craft of customer service and are true hospitality professionals. I mean this at every level - front desk, valets, drivers, servers, etc. I had a wonderful conversation with one driver in particular who told me this place has amazing employee retention (he has been there 17 years). This is great news for guests because it means they are entering a place maintained and care for by staff who are invested. ROOMS I stayed in the Luna Villa which was 7,410 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. WOW. Ok, the highlights of the space were the living room, master bedroom, master bathroom(s), and backyard patio. This was the nicest room/space I have had the privilege of staying in... EVER. And that's not counting the location which is smack dab on the beach! The villas aren't just luxurious, but also modern. They are equipped with two separate toilet rooms that are each outfitted with a Toto bidet that has an auto-closing lid, night light, etc. with more features than my car. The four seasons is my premiere resort anywhere I travel but this location was everything and more. Beautiful beautiful property. I spent about 6 hours at the spa, the massage was so relaxing. Everything I wanted. The beach was rocky so not very much swimming but ok for wading and great for tanning. There are so many dining options. I ate at the restaurant overlooking the beach and had a lovely view. Staff is top notch, friendly, at your service. Four seasons is always a great choice. read more

We booked a room with a private plunge pool and got upgraded to a suite. The views from our room were breathtaking with views of whales taking their journey to warmer waters (mid-Dec) and spectacular sunsets. The mosquitos were pretty intense at night (forgot to bring bug spray, but one was provided inside our walk-in closet). Best view from the entire property was from our room (#400). Can't walk down to the beach from this room, as it's situated on a cliff, but the views are well worth it - pure heaven! Signed up for the 3B golf hole experience (tail of the whale) using the 4S app. They shuttle you to the course, where you're greeted by a caddy who has your rented clubs ready to go. After a few practice shots, we drove the golf carts to the hole. Super fun experience, highly recommend to new golfers who want to play the one hole or avid golfers with little time on their hands. read more

Pretty amazing for sure! On a Holliday weekend it was busy but it doesn't feel like you are shoulder to shoulder with people which is nice and especially if you dine at off times. I guess I didn't realize that from the Puerto Vallarta airport it is a pretty solid drive (over an hour) and we got caught in some commotion so it was longer. Staff couldn't have been better throughout, room was incredible with the patio views of the ocean and our own dipping pool, dining area which we ate breakfast on most mornings......speaking of breakfast while you won't get bored of the dinner options but we personally found the breakfast offerings both in the restaurants that actually served it or room service to be very limited and got boring quickly. Leaving the resort is kind of a pain so I suggest you do as we did just remain there. We went on many walks and took a trip up the neighboring St. Regis.....due to the location just remember you are at their mercy for pretty much everything including transportation and even water, they offer everything you could imagine but remember $ it will add up fast. I would say a max of three days would be ideal we over stayed a wee bit. read more

This is a long overdue review for the Four Seasons Resort. Upon arriving at Puerto Vallarta, my family and I had no place to stay because it was a random trip booked the day before. I called in to the Four Seasons the day we arrived, and luckily they had a couple of rooms available. The drive from the airport to the resort is roughly 30-45 minutes. We were greeted right away with drinks and hospitality. What was really great about the resort was the FOOD! The brunch was amazing, and their restaraunts followed as well! Other fun facts: Bill Gates purchased Four Seasons and its adjacent land for only $200 million in 2014. What a steal. With rooms costing $1300 to $5000 $$$$ a night, only those who are affluent and fortunate enough can dream of experiencing a retreat here. A private car service can pick you up from PVR airport and you'll arrive at the perimeter gates in about 45 minutes. Upon arriving, you'll be greeted with refreshing hibiscus cocktails with tequila shots. To arrive at your room, a golf cart is needed to transport you as the buildings are separated by curvy hillside paths. Before relaxing in your room, a must would be to experience the beachside view. The point or beachside at Four Seasons is within walking distance to the lobby and is breathtaking with gorgeous views of the ocean. Dining: There are about 3 to 4 dining options at this resort. If you're staying for more than 3 to 4 days, I recommend researching places to eat in downtown Punta Mita or adventuring to neighboring cities. One of the caveats to staying here in this resort is seclusiveness and access. I felt at times that going through all the guarded security gates was a burden. It was as if I was imprisoned and I started to get island fever at the end of my trip. I joked that if I was ever receiving house arrest, I wouldn't mind staying here. Amenities: There is an amazing curvy affinity pool that is perfect for families. Many chairs and a few cabanas are available for rental. There are service employees waiting to fulfill your needs. Another family feature is the short lazy river which is great if you have young children. I was easily able to call the concierge for any assistance. I wish that everyone could experience these resorts once in their lifetime. read more

Of course it is incredible here! I love it and I am so happy to be back again! This is one of the best views I have enjoyed in Mexico. Add in tequila tasting at 2 pm ... and I'm a fan for life! Being here brings back lovely memories of when my daughter was young enough to beg to go to the kids club ... and this one was always one of her favorites. Maybe the piñata filled with surprises had something to do with that. Today, we enjoyed a beautiful lunch overlooking the ocean, then went to the gym and loved every minute there! I was so impressed with all of the amenities and things they have at the gym... We were able to do a full training and feel fabulous. Tonight we're going to a fancy dinner here at 8 PM... This is the absolute best hotel experience I've ever had or ever will have. This place feels like you have crossed heavens gates or if your wandering through a lucid dream. Everybody smiles and says hello as you walk by. When your in the pool, an employee jumps in and cleans your greasy sunglasses for you. My husband came down with a stomach bug and employees sent some remedies to our room. They anticipate your every need and desire. We spent the evening with a knowledgeable tequila expert and tasted the best tequila of our lives. As you walk to the beach you are offered freshly cut coconut to drink. We came down to Punta Mita to attend a wedding in neighboring Sayulita and chose the Four Seasons. It's about 40 minutes from the airport in Puerto Vallarta and they can arrange car service to/from the airport, which is what we opted to do. It was really easy to find the car service (pro tip if you've never been - ignore all the people hustling taxis and free shots of tequila. They can be annoying and aggressive, but if you've arranged your ride they are outside waiting for you). The driver gave us water and a cold scented towel which was great since we went in October so the humidity was super high and I was sticky from my 30 second walk to the car. Check in was pleasant. You sit on the deck with whatever their special drink is (boozy or not) which I liked versus just standing at the desk. They also cart you to your room, which is nice because the property is very large. You can also use the carts, however I found that sharing a walking path with drunk people carting themselves around was annoying. All of the employees were so friendly. Literally all of them. They always smiled and said hello. The property was beautiful. It is lushly landscaped and there are a lot of fun things to do: Several restaurants (one was closed for renovations when we went) 3 pool areas - big infinity pool, two pools in the adult (16+) area, and a lazy river pool. A game room for kids with 10 different Tv's and gaming systems as well as a small theater room. Gym (ha - I didn't go in there but I'm sure it's nice. Fitness class rooms Spa (you can use the spa facilities even if you don't book a treatment and this includes the sauna, steam room, amazing showers, hot tub and cold plunge pools, etc) who h I wish I would have known before our last day when we got massages). 2 beaches Shopping, if you're into that. The room was modern but I liked the traditional Mexican touches incorporated into the decor. The bed was comfortable and while I was kind of sad there was no hammock on the deck (like in the website photos) they did have nice patio furniture. I think all rooms have an ocean view, we were in Pez which didn't directly overlook the beach but still had a great view. They had most of the buildings of rooms under construction, presumably for the upcoming holiday (our stay was mid-October 2019). And did also do some work in our building so we occasionally heard some drilling and hammering and the sound does kind of carry so we also occasionally heard our loud neighbors (probably my only complaint). The food was delicious everywhere we ate - from poolside to in the restaurants. They are also very conscientious of food allergies and keep the info in their computer so they always know your name and food allergies. For my gluten allergy they had separate prep areas (so they said - and I never got sick) which was such a relief. I would definitely return. Our trip was baby free, but I'd bring our 2 year old as they are also very family friendly. read more

We just had an absolutely shocking experience here. My friend put his ATM card into the lobby ATM to withdraw $300 US In Pesos and no money came out. When he went to the management they told him they had to check the cameras and he would have to be the one to call the banks to see why no money came out. They took zero responsibility for an ATM in their own lobby. I cannot believe we're in a Four Seasons right now. At any of the Four Seasons I've ever stayed at this has never happened. It's absolutely shocking. Do not use the lobby ATM under any circumstances. The kicker is that these friends were here 20 years ago on their honeymoon. So sad. The Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita is one of the most phenomenal resorts I have ever visited!! We had such an amazing experience. The resort is located on a guard gated peninsula. We passed through the main gate after the guard verified our reservation and then a second guard gate down the road. From the moment you arrive and are greeted with a cold towel, cactus juice, and an offering of tequila, to the moment you leave, the service is unmatched. We spent much of our days in the resort being lazy, laying by one of the pools or at the beach. Of course there is endless drinks and food being offered all the time. There is a scene for everyone, the adult only pool complete with cabanas and hammocks in addition to lounge chairs. The lazy river where you can grab a tube and drink and float around. The beach areas with day beds and chairs. Or of course my personal favorite, the main pool which features an Infiniti pool overlooking the ocean and a floating bartender. We also visited the spa for a tequila massage. Breathing the aromas of tequila help you to relax. This was a first time experience for me and definitely memorable. The spa is nothing short of amazing. The resort is also acclimating to kids. There is a game area which we stopped to check out. They had VR games, PlayStation, Xbox, arcade games such as Mario kart and Pac-Man, ping pong tables, and even a cinema area! What really made this trip memorable were the people. The staff at the Four Seasons are friendly, welcoming, hospitable, and thoughtful. Such an amazing experience. I highly recommend the Four Seasons at Punta Mita! read more

Still one of my favorite spots in Mexico. This resort is super polished with impeccable service and well thought out. The compound is pretty vast but, it's fairly easy to navigate. I was again greeted with agave drinks (w a splash of tequila) and given a few moments to hang in the lobby area where we were checked in. There was a slight misunderstanding with the room situation but got it sorted out in no time. In fact I was able to get an upgrade to an ocean view at no additional charge. Boo ya. There is a chance that because they just opened they are not very organized but overall experience has been very bad. We were a party of 7 and everyday one of us left something behind. With toddlers we were distracted. The security would locate your item. And bring it to your door within minutes. This Four Seasons is the best! Amazing food and service! The location is a paradise! My favorite restaurant at the hotel is Aramara. The staff is so profesional and acomodating! There is a quaint bar outside of Aramara that plays live music. The musicians are Cuban and play mostly Salsa. The music is just perfect for the setting. The service was outstanding and the people were so nice and accommodating... outside of a few pool side staff that seemed a little "off." The housekeeping was off a bit on their timing which made it so our room went without cleaning/turn down services, but when they cleaned they did a fantastic job. On our last day the waves were much smaller and the beach was perfect. All and all it was an amazing place to stay and we had a great time. Original review: Day 1 in to a 5 day vacation. Service checking in was excellent. 5 star for sure. Grounds are amazing and the room we received was standard. They did put us upstairs and there's no elevator access so getting up and down has been a challenge. The beach out front has a very strong current and the waves were too much for my kids so we went to the pool. The pool is unreal. So beautiful. We got some towels and found a spot. A pool worker greeted us and we ordered some food. We had been there a while and a new group sat down a little over from us. They same worker came over and set each of their chairs up for them, laying out the towels on the chair etc... we didn't get same treatment. Thought it was a little odd. The group looked pretty fancy so of course I read in to the workers motives (I may be wrong) The food comes and is OK at best. The kids USD $9 chicken fingers were incredibly small. Four Seasons Punta Mita is the ultimate in luxury. You are pampered from the moment your driver greets you at the airport. Let's get to the real reason you're reading my review. That missing fifth star. I must say, it's difficult for me to give the Four Seasons anything but five stars, but when you're basing an experience on overall value, that's where they drop the ball - or the star in this case. First, Punta Mita is about 45min - an hour drive from the airport in Puerto Vallarta. The cost of transportation was almost $225 for a round trip - and there is no guarantee it may be a private transport. There were no champagne, cocktails or other adult beverages in the vehicle. Bottled water, yes. Warm wet towels, yes. But that's about it. It wasn't necessarily a luxury transport either. Our first vehicle was an older Suburban that could have used a good detailing. The duct tape holding up the built in TV was a nice touch. Our vehicle back was a large Mercedes van that could easily seat 10. It was nicer, cleaner, and had USB ports to charge your phone. On your route to the resort, you'll travel through the colorful city of Puerto Vallarta. So many neat shops and restaurants dotted the way, I wish we would have been able to check them out! You'll leave the colorful and vibrant city behind and enter the large gates of Punta Mita. A peninsula shared with St Regis and only accessible through their gates. Inside it was luxurious and peaceful. But you will be paying quite a fee for this. Rooms start at $450/night, although our group rate allowed us a discount. You won't have to carry cash, or remember your credit card. Just remember your room number and sign your name. But be warned, this adds up quite quickly. At the end of our stay, we had spent a great deal more than expected. Food was sub-par, to be honest. I expected a little more. There were only two restaurants on the property - as one other restaurant was being renovated. Most resorts have many more, so I was a little shocked. After a few days, all the food started tasting the same. The big standout was the shrimp tacos. The Mexican cheese plate was shockingly bad. I'm a cheese-a-holic and this was totally funky for my palate. But hey - you may like it! The flan was nicely presented and was of great flavor. The beaches are truly the gem of the resort. Finely crushed white coral make up this beach. It's cleaner than any private beach I've visited. Service was excellent and right on par with what a resort should have. Jorge was the first person we met at the airport and the one who picked us up from our room as we left. He made a great first impression and did a wonderful job explaining the property, it's history and everything we should know about staying there. He was a class act for sure. In all, would I return here? Probably not. Simply because it's not my cup of tea. These resorts have a benefit for large groups - think bachlorette, weddings, and company outtings. But for a young couple looking to see the world, its culture and food? Not so much. But don't let that stop you from checking it out! read more

I love the Four Seasons, my husband and I have picked vacation spots because there was a Four Seasons (Nevis / Lanai). With that out of the way this property is beautiful and the service is impeccable. They had daily activities (Tequila blending, Mescal Tasting, Catch of the Day....) and Yoga, morning hikes - you could keep busy or do as we did - lay at the pool. We spent the majority of the time at the pool - the beaches are nice as well. Amazing views from our room, phenomenal service. We did the Tequila Blending experience and it ended up just being the two of us. Really educational and fun - and we got to bring home a bottle of our custom made tequila. read more

Best resort for families and kids in all of Mexico! So impressed! When we begun to plan our trip to Mexico this year, I knew it would be different than prior vacations as we now had a 9 month old daughter. Many people don't even vacation, let alone out of the country, with children this age because there is additional work and effort required. We had visited the Four Seasons Punta Mita last year and were incredibly impressed with its beauty, service, and support from the staff. However, I decided I needed to do my due-diligence and research hotels throughout Mexico for what would be the best luxury holiday with a small child. After hours of research, we decided that no other hotel offered the same amenities and standards for luxury 'with' such focus on children as the Four Seasons Punta Mita. The FS Punta Mita went over and above in every area to make this most incredible and easy trip for us and our daughter. Our room was exceptional and fitted out with crib, Honest baby products, baby bath, bath sponges, baby bottle cleaning products, and stroller. The hotel pool and beach areas have pack-and-play's to help keep baby entertained and occupied. The beaches have gorgeous beach huts that made a perfect play place for our daughter. The Four Seasons Punta Mita is an exceptional hotel for families as they think about everything you could possibly need and help make it perfect for you! Seriously! All this --- and the hotel is also the epitome of Mexico exquisite luxury and culture. The beaches are clean and everything you could possibly need is available including incredible meals by the water. My husband, daughter, and I all had a fantastic time and were able to enjoy the gorgeous pools, sensational local cuisine, and snorkel and fish in the ocean. Beautiful resort with gorgeous pool, landscaped gardens. The only reason I did not give this resort a 5-star is because the bathrooms are slightly outdated. But other than that, my stay at the resort was amazing. Ocean front casitas are definitely the way to go. You wake up looking at the ocean, hearing the waves hit the rocks, and watching the boats depart for the day. The restaurant near the pool has great mango margaritas and guacamole.
