It was delicious, with a very hard, dry consistency that was not very sweet. A bit on the tart side, indicating they are liberal with the sour cream, while conservative with the sugar. Definitely a great base for a more complex cake, but even though simple is good, the flavor just wasn't appealing enough for me to give it a full five stars. If you want a taste that's a bit more complex, totally go for the cupcakes. Especially tiramisu!

We walked in a few minutes before closing, but the delightful vintage pink and green rockabilly atmosphere immediately perked me up. I've gone not only just for a cupcake to go, but for teatime and of course brunch. The weekends it's rather full- better to get there earlier or later, but if you go on a weekday you may just be lucky enough to have the place to yourself. All the galz are dolled up in the pink kitchen and make you feel right at home. The cupcake flavors change with the days, but they are all DIVINE and eye candy for sure.
