I needed to check each day to see when the hold was released. A financial institution, according to Reg CC, must tell a customer when funds will be available, which is a federal regulation. I was on hold for over 20 minutes for a very simple question that still was not answered.

My checking account number is one of the oldest active numbers. In December 2025, I had to order checks. Chase charged me $46.00 for the checks. I requested the charge be waived due to my long-standing relationship and the fact I live on a fixed income. Their response was "Paul, upon reviewing your account ending in ****, We are unable to refund the check order fee for $46 we charged you. We appreciate you being a Chase customer." Chase obviously does DOES NOT value my account. Longevity and loyalty mean nothing to this organization.

Their branch office on Peterson Avenue is very modern, beautifully decorated, with state-of-the art equipment. That also have an adjacent parking lot and drive-thru ATM. A great place to do business that has many good investment options to offer their members that are part-owners of the credit union, unlike traditional banks that are businesses owned by someone else.

I had a problem signing up for credit card alerts last year when they changed their system. After two calls to their call center, a trip to one of the service branches when I was Told I would hear back after "help desk" ticket was sent through. I heard nothing from the representative I talked to and to this day I get no alerts. Shortly after I received a member survey to fill out. I explained what happened and sent it back. To my amazement,ent I got a reply they were happy they were able to help me with my problem. I went to one of the service centers to buy a Visa gift card. That transaction took 3 people and 16 minutes to complete. Fast foward. I did what they encourage members to do and self serve through online banking. It had to do with changes to joint ownership and beneficiaries on one of the,y accounts. After trying to self,serve I realized I would have to call. I called and spoke to a new account person who then transferred me to a specialist. She assured me that the account now reflected what I required. Shortly I got documents to sign that did not indicate the changes we discussed. I had to call again. The same person told me that the joint owner could not also be a beneficiary. That' is exactly why I called the first time. So much for getting it right the first time. So after trying to self serve, it took two additional phone calls to complete. I recently had some IRA pepper work to complete for a transfer. That took two people to complete. They sent it to my financial advisor who emailed me and said the form was not compete. So a second trip to the service center to get it right. My son has had problems with them sending debit cards to their old address even though the credit union has the new address at the time they moved. Because of that he went into one of the service centers to talk to them about concerns he had about a title the credit union would be sending out since he had only one payment left. He asked that the title he sent to the service center so he could pick it up. He was told "no" because the titles are kept out of state and special mailing would cost him $40. Today he got the envelope and the title wasn't in there. Wonder is Consumers will charge him for a duplicate title. And just for laughs, after I added him as beneficiary to my account he was notified his address had been changed to my address. The letters they send out after an address change were sent to my address. He got one for his accounts and one for his Credit card. Honestly, taking care of their members is absolutely no concern of theirs.

The voicemail prompts say that you can enter your number for a callback, but when you indicate that's your preference, the system ignores it and gives you the initial group of options--which did not apply to my reason for calling. The various phone reps referred my to other numbers and prompts, which did not work. So the phone system is awful. In the course of being transferred around, I was cut off twice and had to dial back and start all over again. I spoke w/ 3 reps, none of whom could effectively help me. Ultimately, I used Chat and was able to close my 2 accounts. My impression is that they have farmed out various departments to handle the different areas of their business. The departments do not appear to be integrated with each other. It took me about 45 minutes to effectively close my accounts. The only reason I was with them in the first place is because they offer a high interest rate on the checking account balance. Heaven help you if you actually need to deal with someone. Oh, and I had a credit card dispute years ago that took them about 6 months to resolve. Never had that w/ AMEX or the various Visa/Mastercard issuers--they resolve problems in a few weeks, and typically credit back your account while they work toward a final resolution.

I was told by the God's gift to bank tellers, and I quote that "PNC expects their customers to have their paper work filled out when they come to the window". I was upset even more with that remark. I did not swear or name call, but my voice was upset. She had all my information & license & refused to cash my check because I was being rude (?)to her & I had to talk to manager before she cashed my check. They both proceeded to jerk me around and were smirky and throwing their weight around. I do not look very nice because I have a fatal brain disorder, speak funny & have trouble controlling the volume of my voice because of brain disorder & look like a holocaust survivor. They seemed to take great pleasure in being the all powerful bank employees I guess. I am an employee on disability with this bank. I mentioned that & received a snide remark about that too. Avoid this bank. The attitude you're there to meet their expectations is pervasive throughout this company. The fact they treat anyone like this no matter how they look or amount on deposit is disturbing. I only keep a small amount in this bank because of my employee status. My major accounts are at another bank. You figure it out.
