Copying my extensive review from google :)…read more I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Ebony and Dave at Liberty Tax (on Laskey). This may be a lengthy review because I just really want people to realize how above and beyond that they went for me. I have been filing my own taxes through TurboTax for as long as I can remember (for sure over 10 years). It got increasingly difficult the past couple of years because I have been living in a different state than I work in, so I have had a couple of absolute NIGHTMARE scenarios between Kansas and Missouri the last two years where I felt helpless and overwhelmed because I thought I filled everything out accurately then I would suddenly get a notification that I owe them money. So finally this year I decided it wasn't even worth the headache and likelihood of me filing incorrectly and dealing with trying to fix whatever I did wrong in the next several months, and that I would pay someone to prepare them for me. I looked at some reviews and made a couple calls. I was worried because this year (for 2024 taxes) I had to file FOUR different states! So I called to get an idea of the cost and they had told me to head in with my paperwork so they could give me a quote, which made me happy to know that I wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of the number being different at the end than I expected. I got up this morning absolutely DREADING going to get my taxes filed and what the outcome would be and let me just tell you I had the exact opposite reality. I walked in to friendly faces and went to sit at Ebony's desk to have her look through everything. She asked me the important questions up front to get an idea of what it would entail and then double checked a couple things with Dave, gave me the cost, and got to work! I told her how I had been dealing with a mess the past couple years with KS and MO and that I felt bad bringing that to her, she assured me it would be just fine! At one point she got stumped because it was showing I would owe to KS and she called Dave over. The two of them worked through multiple different scenarios to figure out the best and most accurate way to file and I am happy to say that I got a bigger return than I have the past SEVERAL years *part of this is due to working in Toledo and living just down the road in Michigan which resulted in a large credit toward my Michigan taxes, but I digress* I can't tell you the relief I feel from my visit at Liberty Tax and my interaction with Ebony and Dave. If you want a painless tax experience, I HIGHLY recommend Liberty Tax, 100%! I am absolutely going to be back every year from here on out and will be referring everyone I know to them. Thank you so much, Ebony and Dave, you have no idea the positive impact this experience has had on me! I will no longer dread taxes each year. :)
