Had accounts set up due to the death of my mother in 2016. After being notified by Wells Fargo that…read morethey unilateral froze one of the accounts due to inactivity, I decided it was time to rid myself of Wells Fargo. I drove 40 minutes from my home to utilize a branch in a busy location in my area to close the four accounts I had with them. They told me they couldn't close the accounts as they didn't have a personal banker available. They told me I could close the accounts by phone. I called Wells Fargo on Feb 8 2024, to close all four accounts and was told one of them could not be closed that day because it had to be unfrozen which would take several days. I closed three accounts, two for 2k each and another for 15k. I had to listen to this idiot run through her long script for the closure of each account, wasting my time. I even gave my agreement to stipulate to the closure details read to me on the closure of the first account so that she didn't have to read through the disclosure again and again. But she curtly and haughtily refused. She assured me the three accounts were closed and the checks would be mailed and to call back in a few days to close the fourth account. I received the checks for the two 2k accounts three days later. The 15k check not so much. I called to let them know they told me there was nothing I could do but wait for the 10-14 days allotted despite the fact that I received the checks for the other accounts closed the same day I called and closed the fourth account on Feb 14. I received the check on Feb 20. Still no 15k check. I went online on Feb 20 to make an appointment with a personal banker at another branch on Highway 70 S in Bellevue TN. I went in at 9am on Feb 21 and said I wanted them to cancel whatever check they say they sent out and issue me a check in person and I would be on my way. They made a call to account closures and escalated the call to a woman named Liz who refused to talk to me. Anthony Kennedy(personal banker) and Jeremy Oden(branch manager) were told that for some reason, which no one would share with me, the check for the account with the 15k didn't get cut until a week after the account was closed. They told me I could pay a $300+ surety bond to cancel the check and have them issue it to me or I could continue to wait. Michael Ryan RB Senior District Manager, VP came out of his office to apologize which did not assuage my anger at this establishment holding me hostage for $15k. If I had a choice, I would never do business with Wells Fargo. There are so many other choices. No one would tell me why the check was delayed and the first woman I spoke to to originally closed the accounts probably should have told me the check would be delayed an unknown period of time but instead she regurgitated information which, after the first soliloquy, was absolutely a useless waste of breath and time. Instead she could have shared with me some useful information. What a waste. There is nothing personal and no humanity at Wells Fargo. There are only animatrons spewing rote canned scripts rather than treating each customer like a human being. Good luck to our future If I could give zero stars I would. If you need to close any accounts, make an appointment online day prior, with a personal banker and make them hand you yoyr money the same day.

I've been known to drive long distances to only deal with certain individuals (and avoid others). The star rating can be believed: the staff at this branch are great. I don't bank with Wells Fargo but I've been a customer for four years. It started with a mistake in Miami. I didn't know I was making a mistake at the time but, like most things to do with that cursed city, it came to be a thorn in my side. In the course of making the mistake, I created an account with WF. My Spidey sense did me some good as I knew not to start any new accounts with my personal bank. No good would/could ever come of it. So, at least, I wasn't too personally affected by the mistake. But I *was* affected... and I needed help. Concerned with customer service (in general) and WF (in particular; I don't want any accounts opened under my name that I haven't okayed), I knew that I needed to find a branch where I would be listened to and worked with. Yelp led me here. I walked through the door and was greeted with smiles and 'hellos.' Good start. I sat with a rep at a desk and unloaded my sad tale of Miami woe. Not only did I get her to vow never to go there (score!), she wanted to help me right the ship I was on. That day we took care of a bank account that was being fraudulently used. That case was closed. When it came to the credit card (and account), things were a bit trickier and her powers were a bit more limited. After many (many!) months, though, the nightmare is over, the chapter is closed and my professional dealings with WF are over.* I won't have cause to return (I hope) but if you are a WF customer and you live in Middle Tennessee, it's worth your time and gas to come to this branch. The teller used to be nice and friendly now she acts as tho im bothering her. Plus even with my account number she could only answer me about my atm transactions. This is highly unacceptable for a bank ive been with for over 5 years. The answering service is horrible to after pushing 5 buttons this lady named Brooke who was a straight b-/ch couldn't help me either this is so so sad to take such a friendly and good bank to just an impersonal and starched shirt bland uncomfortable bank. Its frustrating and rude. And the drive thru cant even see who you are dealing with anymore. I find this to be very suspicious bc it takes them longer to make a deposit than before. After submitting all the documents requested and hard inquiries pulled on my credit report, they did nothing. The branch manager Jennifer was handling my request. After numerous phone calls which all went to voicemail and multiple email requests for a response not returned, it really left me disappointed in the whole process. Not only did the hard inquiry hurt my credit which was in good shape, the vehicle I was trying to purchase was sold. I can understand them being busy, but the lack of communication was at the lowest that I've ever encountered. I will be closing my account and will never do business with them again. I guess my business wasn't important to them.

I have been a fan of this small place since I started here. You can set up automatic deposits to an account here every payday to accumulate a savings account pretty easily. You can have a savings or checking account here, as well as a Christmas Club account to help you save for the holidays. They also offer auto loans, home equity loans, and refinancing options, as well as many other options. You get a lot of the same services offered by big banks with better services and usually better rates. And you have payments deducted from your paycheck directly. They also have credit union ATMs located around campus. Some of the downsides are that you really have to take money from your account, from either the main branch or their own ATMs, to access your money. This may be a pain for some, but the fact that I have to make a serious journey to get these other funds keeps me better at saving personally. And the service here is great. Its not the most technologically advanced credit union you'll find but as an employee at Vanderbilt it really is something great to have to help save extra money or get loans. I wish I could do all my banking through here personally.

I'm a regular international traveler and every single time I've traveled with my Pinnacle card, it's gotten locked. Despite calling them in advance. Their app is also terrible - I have to lookup my password every time I use it even though it's Face ID compatible. When I had some fraud, they sided with the company that was fraudulent. And now that I'm trying to buy a house, they gave me incorrect wiring instructions and it's now affecting my closing (doesn't help that the woman, appropriately named Karen, was so condescending and rude despite a Pinnacle employee giving me the wrong info). Do NOT bank with Pinnacle!
