APRIL 2026- I took my 2023 Nissan car into Pan Am Automotive to have Jay put on new Nissan front end brake pads to include the hardware and shave the rotors . What his mechanic ended up doing was giving me generic brake pads not using new hardware and not shaving the rotors so here we are two days later and my front end brakes are still squeaking. I called back Jay on the phone told him that my brakes were still squeaking he stated to come back in he would charge me again just minus the labor he stated that I might need new rotors well clearly he should have done that work from the get-go and we wouldn't be in the situation but he wants to charge twice for brake pads and to put on hardware and rotors that wasn't in the original price. The price I paid was in the ballpark of $325 for him to put on generic brake pads with old hardware and not shaving the rotors if you're going to get a brake job you got to do it the correct way all the way not half ass . Days later I went into the Nissan dealership where the certified Nissan mechanic stated by looking at my brake pads that they were not Nissan brake pads and that the mechanic had used old hardware and did not shave the rotors down like he was supposed to hence the reason why they're still squeaking. So, no, Jay and his mechanic are not honest people.

We brought our vehicle in with multiple issues affecting multiple systems (A/C and brakes), and both were fully addressed and resolved, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome! Details of timelines, diagnostic findings, recommendations of work to be performed, and cost estimates were communicated clearly and professionally. When the A/C issue proved to be more complex and challenging than expected, they were frank and honest with us, and they honored their original estimate, even though they obviously spent significantly more labor than originally quoted. I have a Mini Cooper and not all shops service my car (you know what they say about everything being bigger in Texas - that also applies to cars), plus the Mini dealership was trying to charge me outrageous fees. Long story short, I ended up entrusting my Mini to Tieken and they did a good job swapping my old brakes for new ones. They did it within a couple of hours and saved me time and money. Employees were friendly and informative. The only hiccup I have to report is that they seemed to struggle trying to reset the brake sensor on my dashboard, but the solution was one YouTube video tutorial away and I was able to do it by myself. I had a positive experience and will definitely go back for simple repairs such as this one.

Once completed, they spent several days putting miles on the new engine to test for anomalies and have made minor corrections and adjustments where necessary.
