I just have to share yet another fabulous experience with Main Street automotive in Bandera Texas…read more I'll be honest... my trust in automotive shops was 0.0%, maybe even into the negative numbers. Definitely negative experiences. As a short background, I had a Nissan Xterra that sat for nearly 2 years of my driveway, because no one in Bandera could seem to pinpoint what issues were. I even had one shop tell me to "drive it until the wheels fell off", completely, disregarding the fact that this is my only transportation and my safety, and sometimes life, depend upon it. When I totaled my Ranger, I had been so impressed with the work that Main Street had done on it, that I took a huge leap of faith and put the total money into repairing all the mystery ailments of the Xterra. As a surprise for me, the mystery ailments weren't at all a surprise to Main Street and they fixed it beautifully. I always get my oil changed there as they do a bumper-to-bumper review of everything and I'm telling you these people do not tell you you need something that you don't. They will tell you if they see something that you can expect might need attention so you're not blindsided, unlike the other auto shop. They care about my safety. They did me so right on my Xterra when I was just in the worst spot ever. If you want an auto shop that you can honestly trust, I can't recommend them enough. If you live in Bandera, they are on 16 like you're heading to Medina on your left across from K and M auto. They are open on weekdays. They have quite a number of bays so if you make an oil change appointment with you they get you done quick. My Xterra has 222,000 miles on it. It's running better today than when I bought it at 170,000 miles. Thank you, Main Street!!

After all four new Hercules brand tires separated after just a few months wear, Sean said he would give me a new set at his cost and after I got the invoice I noticed that I was charged $115.00 for an alignment and $60.00 for balancing the tires. Sean said he could rewrite invoice or take the overcharge off of future purchases. Being a stupid nice guy, I, agreed to future purchases option When I went in to get just an oil change I was expecting a credit showing balance due to me going forward. Instead of this Mike hit me with an invoice saying I owed him money instead. I tried to get him to explain how I owed him anything and he consulted Sean in the back room like a car salesman and came back to me gruffly inferring that here's the invoice and we'll call it even and now go away. I've been a good customer for 5 years and I can't understand why they were so desperate for my bucks that they would treat me like this . Outstanding local business!!…read more I had a heck of an afternoon yesterday. Loaded up my old BBQ pit trailer to go cook for 140 National Guardsmen down in Hondo. Had a tire blowout on 46, coming into Bandera. Called my buddy with Lone Star Auto and Diesel, who suggested I call Tripp's. Talked to Cody on the phone. He bent over backwards to help me. He stayed open late, let me bring the tire and rim in, set me up with a brand new tire, and got me back on the road. The price was MORE than fair, too. Cody and the team at Tripp's are the real deal. I highly recommend doing business with them! So much so, that I'm back here a day later to replace the remaining tire on that trailer because, well, it's quite overdue. Well done, y'all. SHOP LOCAL!

Brought one vehicle to them for being hit BY a deer, and 3 days later, I was the one who hit a deer, so now they're working on my other vehicle. Called this shop at 9 a.m. David told me to bring bike in between 11-11:30 & sure enough he put the bike on the rack and is hooking me up! Needless to say this is 1st rate service. Thanks David!
