A great place for breakfast but the god awful techno music they play has got to go. My dining experience was ruined by the terrible music. We are from Toronto (known for its food options), and visiting Northbay for only 3 days we HAD to make back to back visits at this restaurant. The prices are beyond fair, the food is made PERFECT and delicious with a great size portion. But what stands out more than anything is the unbelievably amazing service. The owner is also super polite with such great energy. I believe our server's name was Mitch but you'll know who I'm talking about when you eat here. One of the greatest if not THE greatest service and hospitality I've experienced. read more

Fifty's diner is not exactly a 50s themed diner (though the spelling of the name makes no false promises). There are no jukeboxes and the celebrity photos on the wall are mostly from the 60s and 70s. Fifty's is a busy restaraunt serving up typical diner fare including puck-sized burgers and an all-day breakfast menu. The waitress was friendly, professional and quick with the coffee refills. I ordered a classic breakfast dish comprising of homestyle potatoes, bacon and eggs. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were adequate and the potatoes all but stole the show. I mean they really did feel home made. Overall, I enjoyed this diner experience despite the not-quite-50s atmosphere. Fifty's Diner strikes me as the type of place to make a good stack of pancakes. I think that's what I'll order next time I am in North Bay. read more

Home style diner. Good food, friendly waitresses, quick service. I've been here for every meal. For breakfast, the Mexican omelet is my favorites. the regular bacon and eggs is great too. The kids love the pancakes. For Lunch, the toasted BLT with fries is my go to item from the menu. read more

This eatery is absolutely amazing. My experience is based on the all day breakfast. The portion size was large (which I like), the food was tasty and the price was very affordable. I wanted to try this 50's restaurant mostly for the name. Well let me tell you I was very disappointed. They can't call this a 50's restaurant the decor is NOT 50's or the music the whole atmosphere is wrong!! And the food on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 2!!! Great diner! Traveling through we checked yelp reviews and found this place. My wife ordered the hot turkey sandwich and they cook an actual turkey and carve it... what! Went for late breakfast on a Sunday. Staff could not have been more friendly. After short wait got huge breakfast at a very good price. Eggs perfectly over easy, great bacon and sausage. I'm a hash browns guy but ate all the home fries due to proper preparation. Thought I was seeing double but the twin brunettes were equally gracious as was the entire staff. If I ever visit North Bay again- which is unlikely- I would breakfast again at the Fifties Diner. read more

This place was amazing! The atmosphere wasn't the best, but the staff were friendly and it was a great value! There are numerous things on the menu and they are definitely worth it! You can go to the mall's food court and get a gyro for $10, or go here, get a better one for the same price, but get fries with it! A much better value for your money, a huge variety of food! The food at Fifty's is okay, the the waitresses would rather chit chat with friends that come in than do their job. I waited 15 minutes for my check to come after I had asked for it, eventually I just went up to the cash without it. Good food, terrible service. read more

Ordered takeout and what we got was disgusting. My son ordered a wrap and found a hair, then unwrapped it only to find 4 more. After seeing that, I didn't even eat my meal. Far too vomit inducing. Hair nets people...seriously!!! read more

Not overly impressed. Service was really bad, order was served wrong. I was told they did not have diet pepsi but I saw it in the cooler when we went to pay. Check out was very long, either cash register is new or the staff is. We will not be back. But I must aplaud the customers that waited 5-10 minutes to be served and didn't say anything when ppl who arrived later got served first. Oh, bring a sweater, lots of cold air blowing even though it is still cold out. read more
