Fig & Brie is the absolute cutest little spot right off busy University Avenue near NMSU. It's mostly outdoor seating, with only one or two small tables inside. Despite being right on a main road, the patio is super serene and charming, full of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and a lovely garden vibe that immediately makes you want to sit back and relax. The staff here is genuinely sweet and working so hard, but service-wise, they haven't quite figured out how to run the floor efficiently. The layout and floor plan make flow tough, and hospitality timing needs a major overhaul. It took a full 40 minutes for our charcuterie board to arrive, and we only had plain water the entire time. To make matters worse, our drinks didn't come out until after we had already started eating. Once it finally arrived, though, the Sunset 7 cocktail was fantastic, wonderfully refreshing with just the right touch of sweetness. The charcuterie board itself was gorgeous and generous: The Cheeses: The standout winner was easily the spicy Colby Jack: bold, creamy, with a fantastic kick. There was also a sharp, aged hard cheese that paired wonderfully with the fruit, alongside a mild, soft cheese. The Meats & Garnishes: Skewered marinated olives, a perfectly folded salami rose, and additional slices of cured peppered salami. The Sweet & Crunchy Extras: Dark chocolate bark studded with seeds/nuts, mini toasted brioche crostini, a bowl of rich fig jam, raw almonds, and an assortment of round water and herb crackers. Fresh Fruit: Overflowing with fresh produce, huge clusters of red and green grapes, plump blackberries, fresh blueberries, sweet strawberries, and raspberries, all finished off with a cute edible marigold flower. All in all, Fig & Brie is a GREAT spot with incredible potential and delicious food. First time at Fig and Brie. It has only a few interior seating but many outside seats. They have a main and seasonal menu with a variety of pastas, bruschettas, and flatbreads to choose from. We had the peach bruschetta with fig jam and piccata pasta with chicken. Both were really good. The peach bruschetta was on the sweet side but very delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the lemon piccata sauce was tasty but very thin. I felt like it should have been thickened to coat the pasta better. The chicken was well seasoned but a bit overcooked and dry. Overall our meal was good but not great. The service was friendly and we would come back again. I was so happy to find this place in Las Cruces when I was there a couple weekends ago. The customer service was stellar, and I love how easy it was to scan their website and do an online order. I did end up going in person to make my order, however, and they allowed me to customize the charcuterie board I wanted, which is definitely worth mentioning! They also have a restaurant you can eat at which has maybe four tables inside, and a larger patio. We got a couple of Charcuterie cups (around $7 I think), which were good deal, a picnic box (around $48 I think), and the Charcuterie round board ($80 something) . The lower score comes from the actual board itself. The box it came in was super cute. However, when it came time to eat the $80 board, I was really disappointed at how basic and average it was. It felt like it resembled something that I could buy at the grocery store and make myself very easily, and when I buy from Charcuterie businesses like this, I do expect to have a more elevated experience. I expected the picnic box to be like this and felt the price reflected that, but I had higher expectations of the more expensive board. Looking at them both, they seemed like the same thing, but the board was double the price. I also don't feel like all of the board choices blended well together. We had crackers, grapes, some cheeses, and your basic meats, and two dips- honey and a jelly. I really feel like there should've been at least one savory dip option, and could have been more meat (and olives- there were 2 skewers so like 4-6 olives). One of the cheeses really stuck out . In addition to this, I had asked to swap out the almonds for pistachios, but still got some almonds. The pistachios it came with were also plain and still had their shell on. (not that they have to be flavored, but it would've with a nice flavor profile to add. That might just be me being picky though. Anyway, they're definitely talented with what they do, and if I could give half points, I would give half a point more. I would also order from them again, now knowing what they have to offer, but I don't know that I would do the expensive option again unless it was updated. read more

Today, we met two friends at Fig and Brie for lunch. Two of us had paninis, one had the chicken piccata and the other had one of their small bite selections. Everything was delicious. The one who had the small bite tried one of their scrumptious desserts, topped with fresh fruit. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and very efficient. Went for dinner on a Thursday night and had a really good experience! We opted to sit on the patio which was nice. Our server was friendly. The food was good and we paid a decent price for everything. They are known for their charcuterie boards so I'll definitely be coming back to try that. I'd recommend in going for a girl's dinner or a fancier date night! read more

It was our first visit to Fig & Brie. We were not disappointed. Spouse had a Harvest Salad & he raved about it, one of the best salads he's ever had. When pressed about his favorite part, he reluctantly said the apples. All the flavors were perfect to him. I had the piccata pasta. I thought the chicken was wonderful, the whole dish excellent. I could've had more capers, but I am a caper person. Server Hannah was friendly & quick to offer refills, check on us. Chef Nico even dropped in to check. Super nice folks! Our first time here and what food we got was really great. I was trying to surprise my best friend for her birthday and Unfortunately I think our waitress completely forgot about us. We ordered mimosas flights had to ask twice. We wanted the charcuterie board but couldn't get her to take our order. Once we finally got that order we still didn't Have our drinks. Asked again and she brought them out. We asked if we could place our food order and then she needed to go get pad. But never came back and we had to track her down. Finally placed the order and asked if there would be a problem getting our food timely. We had a 1245 appointment and we got there at 11. She kept saying that our sandwiches were almost ready the. 5 minutes over and over. 4 tables came in after us and 3 were paying for their meals and we had to ask her to just box them so we could go. Charcuterie was delicious sandwiches we won't be able to get to eat because we had a 2 hour appointment and the will have to sit in the car. I did try to talk to a manager before I posted but she was not in and when I called they were extremely vague when Mona would be in. I also think it was our waitress that answered. I have been here multiple times and every time, the food quality seems to fluctuate, ranging from bland to extremely salty. In addition, every time that I have been here, the service has always been slow and lacking. I have consistently waited for at least 1 hour just for the food to arrive. Although I do not mind it as much, during my most recent visit, the server was rude and seemed very displeased when I asked for a change of water, to the point of almost slamming the water cups on the table. Not only that, when it was time for the bill, she immediately added gratuity, stating that parties of 5+ have automatically added gratuity of 20%. My biggest issue is that when I came in a party of 5 previously, tip was not automatically added. When questioned, she explicitly stated that it was store policy even though it was not written anywhere, including the menu. As a result of this poor service, I will definitely not be returning even though I was a previous fan of this restaurant. Edit- someone called and asked if it was store policy to automatically add gratuity for parties of 5. It was not store policy, as another worker said it was parties of 6+. I did get it delivered so I'm sure everything is much better fresh out of the oven but a few little things like overcooked crust on the flatbread pizza took them down a notch. The chicken piccata on the lunch menu was absolutely delicious and went above and beyond expectations.

We are visiting from WI and were excited to try the fig & brie. We ordered a flatbread, pasta, harvest salad & the squash soup. All were delicious with a beautiful presentation. It's too bad it wasn't hot when it arrived to the table. It would has been nice if we were made aware they only use oat milk in their lattes, which were tepid. Waiter was very nice. I would not sit outside again because the traffic noise, especially motorcycles were deafening. read more

What a wonderful evening on our first visit to Fig & Brie. Beautifully shaded comfortable patio with very pleasant attentive waitress. But THE FOOD was fantastic. Went for dinner on a Saturday night - yes, they are now serving dinner and brunch (F-S-S). The menu is limited but it is not to the detriment of the meal. Everything was fresh and delicious. The pasta with the roasted olives was an umami bomb. Other diners enjoyed panini while others savored their flatbreads. Prices were reasonable and service was attentive without being intrusive. The chef came to the table to make sure we were all satisfied, which we were. This type of casual bistro dining is very much needed in Las Cruces and we look forward to returning for a nice glass of wine and charcuterie board. read more

The outdoor space was inviting and delightful. The heaters were just right. There are a few inside spots. We had drinks and the staff was very good. We also had the melon and prosciutto starter. The presentation was beautiful. We could not resist an order of flatbread with pepperoni and green chili. The food was excellent!
