i recently have been going to los mariachis to eat, the food Is decent just like any other Mexican restaurant in cruces. but los mariachis owners are something else, they can be nice to customers but oh my do they have slick remarks to say to their workers I now see why there is always new people working at this restaurant because all the managers and owners have a fab mouth to their own workers it wasnt only karem that is like that. and there is also this 50 year old worker named AARON he has been trying to hit on under age girls who go to high school they have told me numerous times this has happend he tries to make them feel bad for him and then he asks them on dates and says to the girls there boyfriend is lucky to be dating you, he also goes on to say when they turn 18 he wants to be on there list. los mariachis you need to do something about all this your workers are scared to ask you owners and Managers for help because of how horrible you treat them, none of this you guys know about because you guys are so stuck up. so I prefer you guys take care of that PEDOFILE you guys hired before this gets worse... thank you This pedo (AARON) will also be getting a police report about where he works and what under age girls hes been talking to... read more

Please read! I can no longer vouch for my previous statements. The restaurant changed ownership and I've been back 2x... The recipes have changed. The salsa is different, the red and green sauces are different. Not the same predictably enjoyable experience, I am sad to say. I am glad to see some recent reviews that give it high praise still, but what I had come to expect is very different, I'll give it some time and try again to see if it is still good overall even though it is no longer what I was come to expect. read more

After a year and a half I returned to the Los Mariachis restaurant on Motel Blvd. I wanted to see if the stuffed sopapillas with chile con carne were still good having enjoyed them for a number of years. I hesitated to order one sopapilla filled with red chile as I experienced a rather poor version of red chile on my last visit. Instead, I ordered both stuffed sopapillas with green chile con carne and covered with green chile sauce to be on the safe side. Again, as usual, this Los Mariachis restaurant was orderly, clean, and comfortable. The service again was very good. The food was prepared timely. Again the tortilla chips were poor; tasteless and mostly broken like they were scooped up from the bottom of a Doritos bag. Rate them a "D." They still have not improved this. The red salsa was quite good as before; flavorful and moderately spicy. The sopapilla plate came with Spanish rice which was ok and refried beans. The beans were smooth and very ordinary in flavor. Rate them a "C." The two sopapillas were covered with cheese and a green chile sauce which had little chile and was smooth but with good flavor. The sopapillas were filled with chunks of beef and a little potato. The flavor was very good. All in all, rate these stuffed and smothered sopapillas between a "B+" and an "A-." This was overall an enjoyable meal at a good price...although, I do believe they have gotten a bit parsimonious with the amount of beef in there considering the high cost of beef these days. Keep the price in line with a little bit less beef??? The dining experience was good enough to once more raise the Los Mariachis rating to FOUR STARS. Enjoyable lunch. read more

Everything with their green chile sauce has been fantastic. They might make the best queso in town and there is much green chile the cheese is even green in color. So delicious. The smothered burritos are one of my favorites to get in all of Las Cruces. The drive thru makes it really convenient and they are fast making your order considering it's a homecooked type of meal. I ordered 4 tacos for taco Tuesday, my 28th time ordering from this store. They sent 4 tacos with taco meat. No cheese no tomatoes no lettuce. My wife and I dined at Mariachis for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. I had the burrito benado which was smothered in green chili and was large enough for two people It was excellent! My wife had their tacos and they were exceptional. The chips were light and the salsa was so good. The service was excellent (prompt, pleasant, etc). The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been a cervasa...but they are getting a liquor license soon. It's a large restaurant and we had noticed that the parking lot was often full when we had previously passed by. Great food and service and under $30. Give this place a try. Tom S read more

Friends in LC invited us to lunch here. I had the chile verde, wife had tacos, of course... Salsa was superb, better than our salsa offerings in Tucson ( don't come to Tucson for Mexican food, the snowbirds have ruined it). All said and done, i definitely enjoyed my lunch and the ambience. Everyone from this side of town seems to eat lunch here everyday. Lots of city workers from all the city offices on Motel, lots of regular Joes and those town peoples who are in the know eat here regularly. Why? The food is really good, the service is friendly and on point, the prices are cheap. We both had combo plates, wife had a soda, I had a margarita (Made with wine as it was really sweet - and my reason for 4 stars and not 5) and we go out of there for about $25. But the beers here are super cheap. I often judge a Mexican place by how good the beans and rice are. Both cooked just like they should be. Mushed refried beans and not over spiced rice. Yum! My tacos were stuffed with meat and fillings. No scrimping here. Wife had the tostadas and they were also stuffed with fillings. This place does not make tiny food! Both of us had the green chile and it was just the right heat. Not too hot not too mild. The free chips were crisp and thick. The salsa was hot. So wait til your water or drink arrives to dig in. Sure they have non-Mexican plates. But don't be THAT gringo. Next time it's tampiquena or maybe fajitas. We may go on Friday as I read they have mariachi music! The enchiladas are flat. Visiting Las Cruces NM for weekend. Impressed with dinner had to return for sunday's brunch. Previous visit had combo plate #1, wife had stuffed sopapila plate. Both were more than generous servings, each priced under $12.00. Chips and salsa complimentary w refills. The salsa and entrees are made with hottt! Chile's. Not for the faint hearted. I didn't know what to expect at Los Mariachis. I was in town just for the one day and I had checked to see what was the place with the best food. But I was in town to see family, and they didn't like what I had researched up, and said we are going to Los Mariachis. I pointed out the merits of using Yelp but I knew not to push the issue with locals. We walked into the amazing smells of a great Mexican restaurant. They set us up at a table and the server came over. My family knew him already and they talked it up a bit. We got to ordering pretty quick, I as I am want to do, went for the everything, otherwise know as Combination plate 1. It had cheese enchilada, Chili relleno and a taco too. . And on the side I got the Tamale smothered in green chili sauce. Everything came out pretty quick, with the plates still steaming. My doubts were erased as the food was fantastic. The highlight might have been the tamale with green chilis. Even though Los mariachis didn't come up on my initial search on Yelp, I'm glad to hopefully let other know its one of the best in town. read more

Mariachis was our favorite go to. We'd stop once or twice a week. Then they went and added a 3% fee for debit cards. What the @#? This on top of their menu price increase. Not buying it! We were ok with the price hike but the additional 3% for debit cards - NOT BUYING IT! Debit cards are same as cash in the real world. Food took long, Oder was wrong, red instead of green, over easy instead of scrambled, returned as it turns out they just chopped up the SAME egg and took the red sauce off the top and added green to it, you can clearly see the red sauce and chunks of fried eggs! Mgt offered to make it again but we declined since it would have been the 3rd time!! Mgt had the audacity to let us know he did not charge us for the plate in order to make it right!! OMG I'm was on the truck stop with my husband and looking for food I found this place!!!! THANKS GOD, the staff are pretty friendly, food have amazing taste, mariachi live music was fabulous!!!! The beers are very cheap, definitely recommend this one. It's a nice place. read more

We have been customers for many years at both their old location and this location. It was our favorite and have recommended it to many people over the years. The food has always been very good and also plentiful as well as fairly priced. Imagine how I felt when they overcharged me on 5 out of 6 it's ordered! The cashier merely stated they had different prices on different menus but didn't offer to refund my overcharge. I won't be ripped off again! I was searching for a good Mexican meal to be delivered and decided to give Los Mariachis a try after looking at their menu online. The food was fantastic. I had a generous serving of juevos rancheros and a sopapilla. The main dish was just the right amount of spicy and the sopapilla was soft and delicious. I hope to be able to get the dine-in experience soon because it sounds like that is great, too, from the other reviews I have seen! read more

However the service was good and we had a pleasant meal before hitting the road again. Of all things decided to order the hamburger with fries, I was not disappointed. Co-worker ordered the menudo and a crispy taco which also was to his liking.
