Since my hair started to thin a few years ago, I've been very particular about going to the right place for my haircuts. That said, I held off as long as I could this time around because my usual barbers are back in the States. However, I eventually caved in and decided to give this place a shot. It's a bit of a hole in the wall and you can easily walk by without even noticing it (exactly what I did while looking for the spot). The space immediately felt like a cozy little oasis and the tv provided some entertainment during the wait. The barber who cut my hair was so meticulous and demonstrated his mastery of the craft throughout entire experience. Usually I'd like to get in and out within 15-20 minutes but this experience taught me to sit back, relax, and enjoy the art of hair cutting.

Being…read morean absolute pedant, however, I had a (ridiculously) difficult time deciding which establishment to trust with the cutting shears. I read about the Adam chain in a few articles online (e.g., GQ), and saw favorable reviews for a few of their locations on Google, so I pulled the trigger and dropped in without an appointment to their London Bridge branch. After a 30-minute wait (I was already braced for no availability), Mustafa sat me down in the big chair, and worked his magic. He was efficient yet took his time with the cut, and it came out looking, to quote my London mates, "wicked"! Great conversationalist as well - He and the rest of the staff made me feel right at home, and were open to me picking their brains about nearby pubs and eateries. The basic cut included a couple of hair washes and a hot towel press too, which left me feeling quite relaxed before venturing back out into the city. All in all, I would gladly return (and likely will, since I've got a month left in LDN and hair that grows like weeds). Give 'em a go!

My hair cut today was good. My problem with Top Cuts is how sneaky they are with their prices. They trick people to come in by keeping the old Mr Toppers sign which was much cheaper and then charging women more than a man for the same service.
