Dr. Fihn is a caring physician. He never made me feel rushed when I saw him in the office. He is personable and concerned. Having said that, I am giving his office Dr Fihn five stars and his office one star. Since he moved to the Durango Ave location, the physical office is far nicer. It is still virtually impossible to reach the office by telephone however. More staff should be added to handle phone calls. Waiting time is far too long. Please answer my calls promptly! Wait times of 20 to 30 minutes are unacceptable. If the call volume is that high then extra attendants should be hired. read more

Dr Fihn is the only doctor that really take his time & really care with his patients, I like that. He can be with you for 15-20 mins, he is not like other doctor just see you max 5 mins. Most of time you have to wait between 30 mins to 1 hour, Although possible 10 mins but not happend a lot. I scheduled an appointment at the beginning of February, I already had to wait for a month out. I had been in contact FOUR times with the office since scheduling that appointment. They sent me the new patient paperwork to fill out and everything. Today, I get a call that the Dr. is no longer taking new patients and they can't see me. The DAY before my appointment. I have changed doctors after being with Dr Fihn for over ten years. He is caring and spend plenty of time with you. But now since he has become a part of Well Health you have to put up with an poorly trained, rude staff. Two different times I have showed up for appointments that they said I never made. This last time I got held up in traffic and was twenty minutes late and called to notify. I talked to an operator who said she would relay the message. She didn't and I didn't see him after getting up at six in the morning ( I work nights) and driving from Henderson. The next available time for me six weeks later. I'm done with well Health. Dr. Fihn is one of the few doctors left that spend time with patients, listens, examines thoroughly, and is interested in fixing the issues, not just prescribing medicine. The staff is super friendly too. On my first visit, he spent a good 30-45 minutes with me ensuring that he understood what was ailing me. I asked him how he was able to spend so much time with me when previous doctors spent at the most 5 minutes. His answer: "If I can't spend the time necessary to treat you, then I won't treat you. My complaint is not against Dr. Fihn, it is for his MA. I was a patient of healthcare 3 years ago and moved out of state (Karen Laux was my PCP at that time). I recently moved back and walked into the office to make an appointment. I was assisted by his MA. I got lucky and made an appointment for the next day. She pulled up my records and pointed out the thyroid medicine. I told her that the the dosage had been changed. She said no problem. Fill out the new patient paperwork. I asked if I need to bring my bottles of medicines to show what has been prescribed to me. She said no, just write it all down on the form and bring a list in at my appointment. I thought that was odd but whatever maybe a new thing here. Fast forward to the next day. We went over the medicines again and I brought up that the dosage was wrong and ADDED other prescriptions that I was taking that was NOT not on the list. I also downloaded the medical history from my previous DR office until she could get the official fax sent to her. I EMAILED it to her and it shows the lab works and the results that was done during my stay in AZ along with all the prescriptions that she gave me (start/end/current). Dr. Fihn said the prescriptions would be called in. Lab work to be done in 3 months so that way the medicines would be flowing through my body and we can have an accurate reading. That made sense because I had been out of medicines for a few days and I know it has to be in the body for weeks to get a good reading. When I picked up the medicine I noticed the dosage was the one from 3 years ago. I immediately emailed her to let her know. To this day I never got a response. I called in to the office after waiting couple days and left a message. I was told someone would call me back. I never got a call back. 2 days after that I call back in and spoke to someone in the call center who said that I should of brought my medicine bottles in. She read notes from Dr. Fihn asking for the lab work, etc... Ummmm you chose not to do lab works and my lab work results were sent to you from AZ. She asked that I go into the office to show them my prescription bottle to get it fixed. I drove in and the girl was like why are you here with that? I don't know why they told you to bring it in. We don't need it. :( I walked out. I mean c'mon. this is their error. I called the call center again and another person confirmed that I should of brought the bottles in and don't know why the MA didn't ask for it. They ended up transferring me to the MA who was very rude and argumentative. She claims that the lowest dosage they can give me is what was in my record before hand because they did not have the prescriptions of that my dr gave me. I told her I have the bottles that shows the date, the prescribing dr and the dosage. She said it does not work that way. They can not go off of what I say only by my previous dr or lab work. I said that you guys chose not to do lab work and you have the lab work sent to you from AZ. She said the lab work was not good enough because it doesn't show what the dr prescribed to me. She said Dr. Fihn was out of the office and there is nothing they can do for me to get the right prescription. Here is my problem with her lies. 1. She told me not to bring the bottles in to show what I am taking. Any other new dr i went to took my bottles and went from there. Your website says to bring the bottles in. 2. drys prescribed medicines off of the lab work results. Telling me that it couldn't be done off of the results that is in my records makes no sense. The results tell you what medicine dosage someone should be on. 3. She can't issue medicine until it can be seen on record from AZ. That is false considering he called in a prescription for Liothyronine based off what i told her. I can get a prescription refill for that but not the correct dosage for levothyroxine???? 4. Telling me that I should do lab work when they chose not to do it that day. 5. Told me there's nothing she can do for me to get the right dosage knowing it is a holiday weekend. I guess the ER would have to be my only option. Here is what I think happen, She clearly made a mistake and did not update any paperwork to show what dosage I should be on and did not ask for my bottles. I feel as though she is covering for her mistakes. Having the wrong dosage medicine makes people sick. She did not seem to care about that. She showed no compassion, not apologetic for her error. NEVER once was it mentioned that a lower dosage would be given to me. Dr. Fihn probably had no clue what dosage I should be on. I should of doubled check to make sure he knew. My bad for putting trust in his MA that she would update it to let him know. I am seriously considering looking for another Dr because of this MA. I refuse to go back to someone who is not trustworthy. read more

Physicians asst gave me the wrong medicine luckily the pharmacist caught it (bad drug interaction), but the office didn't answer the phone so i had to drive back to the doctors office with a 102 fever to correct this issue. I will tell you something. Dr. Fihn will not give you a callback EVER!!! I have never had a DR. Do that to me!!! He is refusing to give me my medication. And it can kill a patient just to cut them off. Why in the world would a doctor do that do this to a patient? DO NO HARM... All he does is cause me harm. It upsets me to have to give Dr. Fihn a one-star rating. It certainly isn't reflective of his skills, but his staff is intolerable. Personal calls from a bill collector while leaving patients to wait, phone messages left unreturned, misinformation given regarding medication refills, conversation with Nurse without follow up, and phones left to ring without answering. I finally had to go to another source to get my blood pressure medication after a week without them, numerous calls, three visits to the front desk and with blood pressure at "emergency room levels" I hope that Dr. Fihn heeds the reviews and works to provide the same level of customer service as he provides in medical service. read more

Dr. Greg Fihn is very good but this Health Care Partners he has teamed up with is bad. He has a new office in a bldg with zero signage and zero addresses on the bldg. Pretty hard to find the first time. The main phone # gives out 1pm-4pm for lab work hours. Show up 3:35, wait 10 minutes... "I'm sorry we're done, last patient 3:30." Call back main # to talk to spvsr. They tfr me to wrong office who cannot tfr, so have to call back. Finally get a nice lady. She says many complaints about the bldg having no signage. Something about the owner far as no signage. Who the heck would sign a lease at a bldg that has no address & allows no signage? She said her cheat sheet shows 1pm-4pm for lab work when 3:30 is the accurate end time, and only her spvsr can change it. We'll see how long that takes. p.s. I agree, he is fairly thorough & a good doctor for the 1 time I saw him. I did NOT like the fact that I made my appt. for Dr. Bacala, whom I loved & his staff did NOT tell me he was no longer there & that I had to see someone else. Therein lies the problem, his staff! I had to have blood drawn as always for my thyroid check & his phlebotomist stabbed me several times & left a HUGE blood leak lump directly under my skin. I have had these blood test my whole life and she was the absolute worst!! I don;t care for HPN & the way they are nothing more than factory with very little patient bedside manner. My father practiced medicine here for 50 years & knew how to treat his patients. This system is appalling as is the health care system in general for this country. read more

They do not answer the phones promptly. If they do it's not a direct line and a service answers that are helpless. They do not call when promised note do they return calls when a message is left. I need a letter that clears me for surgery. Was promised a week and half ago. Still not done. Surgery in two weeks. Go to office STILL not done. Waited an hour told to come back. He never bother to inform me that I would need to schedule right away to have my prescription refilled since my first visit with him only allows for one refill. I call them about the refill two times to finally get the answer on the 3rd call that I would have to come in to see him again to get a refill but can't get me in til midnight September. Dr. Fihn is a very good Dr. No doubt. It's The Well Health system he has acquired to take over his office that is the problem. If you need to call the office FOR ANYTHING, you will get a call center. Many times, I have waited days to get my questions or concerns answered. This time, I waited a week, and had to call back. The notes are in the system, but it's like I don't exist. The medical asst that connects the call center is never available to help and the office manager is busy, always. The WORST office I have ever visited. The staff is rude and careless. They do not return messages or do anything for the customer. For over 2 months, I called dozens of times requesting that my medical records be faxed over for a disability claim. They never sent the papers, so now my case is closed with ZERO compensation because this office FAILED to do their job!! Horrible experience, please do not go here if you want a caring staff. The MA "forgot" basic functions of her job, such as to take my blood pressure, so I had to drive all the way across town to have my check up re-done. Specialists staff and I each held on the phone for more than 30 minutes with Dr Fihns office to resolve it and never got through. This was mid day during the week. He is an excellent Doctor very through and does a great job getting you in and he does take his time. We had the opportunity to change doctors and didn't want to switch from him. He is fabulous. Oh and he and his staff are super great about having my kids come with me for my appointments. My husband and I both see him and he will make us appointments together which is GREAT! I have been a patient since I was 16 (I am now 21) but since they kept switching companies it's gotten worse. My information has been lost twice now. Now that he is in a new office with HealthCare partners, it's the worst it has been. His staff is so unfriendly. They didn't make any eye contact with me when I walked in and I figured they were busy so I stood back a little bit. The one receptionist was checking in a patient anyways and once she was done with him, she still didn't acknowledge me and I stood there awkwardly. When I do come in for medical conditions and seek a solution, the solution always seems to be medicine. Dr. Fihn just throws medicine at the problem and that bothers me. I am almost always taken back 30 mins after my appointment time and that's frustrating because I have other things I need to get to. I got married on Friday and I cannot wait to go on my husbands insurance to have a better doctor who will actually listen and care. The receptionists here need a lesson in manners and how to talk to people because they always act like you're bothering them. Also, the walls are so thin in the new office that I can hear every single thing that the doctor and the patient are saying next door and you can even hear the staff behind the second door in the room messing around. There's no patient confidentiality. And now I know why it takes so long, it's because all the staff behind that second door are messing around. read more

Dr. Fihn is a great doctor! If that's all I was basing this review on, I'd give it 5 stars. I have it 2 stars because I have to wait an hour or more every single appointment. It's getting ridiculous. If my appointment is at 2pm, I'm there 5 minutes early and still don't get seen until 3 or 3:30pm. The office excuse is, well he's running late. That doesn't work for me anymore. I'm an office manager for several providers offices and it's never this bad. I'd hate to go looking for a new doctor but if it keeps happening, I WILL be finding a new PCP! I've got kids to pick up from school and that should be plenty of time for him to see me. Currently not happy! read more
