I had blood and swabs done on 12/22/2020. I won't get results until 1/4/2020 because I left a note asking them every day since Monday and never got a call back. They are conveniently closed for the holidays. The lab does not want to give my results but tell me they have them yet I don't get anyone to tell me what is going on. It's inhumane to have someone wait 13 days for results while they are insanely sick and can't go to the hospital because Covid current situation is too risky. I pretty much have no choice but go somewhere else. This is not the first time. I had many issues with this office: not sending in prescriptions, forgetting about me in an exam room, etc. And they need to replace the rude Asian lady at the front desk. read more

I've been coming here for years and I am always happy with the medical care provided. Dr. Licata is very thorough with his exams, quick, but thorough. He can come across a bit strong and quick-spoken at times, but I don't mind it, however some people may be taken aback by his personality. I also see the Jennifer, the PA-C, and she is also very thorough and listens to all of your concerns. The thing I like about both of them is that I don't feel disregarded even when I can't explain what I'm feeling. The staff is nice and prompt. During my last visit I was in and out within the hour, but sometimes they can run a little behind (which is normal for any doctor's office). I appreciate that they are able to do blood work on sight and have Saturday availability. I called on Friday and was able to get in the following day. read more

I met with NP Charmaine Coronado and she was able get the proper test and care I needed. She was able to find the cause of issues and get me the referrals I needed to resolve my problems. I have been going to Dr. Licata since 2008. He does not have a Wonderful bed side manner , but most food doctors do not. He saves me from having additional neck surgery. My husband just had a knee replacement with another doctor. We could not get a hold of the surgeons office to get him in because the knee looked infected. Dr Licata took him right Away and has taken care of the infection. Of course he is a DO we go to specialist for any localized problem. I've been coming to this place for years like a lot of the people who commented. I want saw Licata and he was the worst doctor bedside why's he may know his business but he doesn't know people or have to work with people. The staff is always nice but lately you have to call constantly to get any information. I recently had a problem with my legs starting on Labor Day. I've been there four times I get no real information. I got an ultrasound and had to call myself for over 2 weeks to get the results. Then I got a blood test and call for a week and a half to get the results and now on my fourth visit I'm waiting again almost a week for the blood test results which I got the day after. I use Quest and they send you the results so when I see them and wonder why the doctor has not called me it's a head-scratcher. I miss the people who used to work there because that's who I saw and now that I have to see him I'm thinking of moving on. I'm betting most long-term patients feel the same way at this point because that's what they say in the office while we're waiting. I have never heard anybody say anything positive about him. Again I assume he knows what he's doing but Translating that to the patient is another story. Last when I saw him I asked to specific questions and he did not answer them. My family and I have been coming here for years. Dr. Licata is extremely thorough when it comes to the care of his patients. They always accommodate when I need to come in last minute, with a same day appointment. I have came in on several occasions on a walk in basis and the wait time is minimal. My family and I find it very convenient that we can have X-rays, Bloodwork and ultrasounds done here in the office at the time of our office visit. Definitely something fishy going on in this office. When I was told I was getting a blood test, I was ordered 6 different blood tests that I wasn't even aware I was being tested for. Licata's office charged my insurance an exorbitant amount of money, 200 dollars for the office visit, 504 dollars for blood tests, and another separate 'laboratory test' (also blood test) for 186 dollars. My insurance covered some of the cost but I am still coming out of this with a bill that will likely be a total of 150 dollars, but the fact that my insurance was even billed so much for a simple doctors visit is outrageous, absurd, and stinks of skeevy profiteering off of the sick, by charging more than is appropriate. I called the office and 'Lin' some back office person talked to me and once I told her this story, she started raising her voice denying any wrongdoing to which I responded in kind, at which point she hung up the phone to my questions about the bill. This kind of immature behavior at a professional establishment is beyond outrageous in modern times. Apparently the other employees wouldn't give making 'Lin' an even more shady figure that clearly doesn't want to take responsibility for what is happening in this office and further affirming my suspicions that some sort of wrongdoing is occurring. I disagree with all of the negative comments regarding Dr. Licata and his staff. I found him to be open, honest and straight forward. His approach is comprehensive and straight to the point. I have never felt unheard and don't have to repeat myself before I leave (even if I have several complaints during one visit). The office offers same day appointments as well as walk ins. Due to the activity, you may have to wait. When I moved 1.5 hours away, I continued to visit the office for my healthcare needs. They're worth the drive and the wait. read more

Horrible practice. Does things you don't need done and charges you for it..... I went for a general assessment and ending up having to pay over $300 and nothing was done. On top of that. During my visit I told dr. Licata I had been having neck problems. He said do you mind if I try something and popped my neck a couple times. Get my insurance bill and I am charged an additional $55 for an adjustment! Just a poor practice all around. He made me feel very uncomfortable and did not seem like he cared about any of my problems. I def will NOT be back! Dr. Licata and his staff saved my life. I saw them for the first time in November of 2020 after experiencing some symptoms I thought might be Covid. Ruling that out, the team ran some tests and followed up that same week with another diagnostic test which divulged a life-threatening occurrence. They acted quickly, compassionately, and thoroughly and I feel better now than I have in some years. I continue to treat every three months with Osteopathic Medical Associates and I am always amazed at how quickly my appointments are made, and how little time I spend in the waiting room. Most testing is done right at the office, which is very convenient. I trust Dr. Licata implicitly. He explains my diagnoses, treatment options, and his overall plan for my long-term health. I feel cared for as a person, and that care extends to my wife as she accompanies me on my health journey. I have recommended OMA to several friends and coworkers and will continue to do so. It's often difficult to find a doctor who truly cares and has the knowledge to back up that care. Dr. Licata and his staff are the best I've found. read more

I see the nurse practioner at this office. She is wonderful. Her office staff is the worst I have ever encountered especially the one that is in charge of booking your exams outside the office. Like having an MRA that has been approved by the health insurance after me having to call the office and telling them that the person in charge of approvals had done the paperwork incorrectly. Now waiting for over 2 more weeks because they have not sent in the paperwork to the radiologist to have the test. On June 1, 2018 in Dr. Peter Licata's office I asked for a refill of my Novalog R insulin. I did not realize that he renewed my insulin for one full bottle less than what I use in 30 days making me 8 to 10 days short. On Monday, June 18, 2018, when I went to the pharmacy to pickup my insulin, I found out that the prescription written by Licata was in error. The pharmacist called his office that morning and faxed a request to revert back to the original prescription. I was going to run out of insulin very shortly. I called Licata's office and talked to the front office and they assured me that it was no problem and she would send the paperwork back to him and have it handled quickly. On Wednesday, June 20 after I heard nothing from their office I called and spoke with the same person again and she told me not to worry that it would be called in. I reminded her that I had only a day's worth left. On Thursday, June 21, 2018 I sent a fax explaining in detail the problem with the prescription as ordered by him. I heard nothing. I attached a copy of the expired prescription that clearly showed 100 units per day On Friday I called again in the late morning and spoke with the office woman again. She said she never got the fax that was addressed to both her and Licata. I resent it and that she said would mark the request 'stat' and it should be not a problem. I explained to her that I HAD NO INSULIN AT ALL. I heard nothing all day until 5:40 when I received a call from his office from a woman who told me Licata would not alter the prescription. Understand that when the prescription is filled the insurance company will not pay to "add" more until the 30 days are up which meant that I would be short 10 days...not acceptable for any insulin-dependent diabetic. So, at that point I am then at my wit's end, believing that as an insulin dependent diabetic, I would have to go through 5 days to have Licata's office handle an emergency refill. This was of no fault of mine as I always make sure that I'm not short on insulin. Never would I have realized that this refusal came from the doctor directly even though it was his mistake in writing it. I don't know how to even address this. It is so wrong that it completely stuns me. I then wrote a letter with copies of the fax I had sent and the original prescription that I needed. I placed it in a manila envelope marked "URGENT." I flat out told him if he didn't contact me and renew the prescription I would file a complaint with the Medical Board of Osteopaths. I hand-delivered it on Saturday to his open office. I heard nothing and now I was out of insulin completely. I had to pay for it full-price in order to be able to eat anything. He is the most unprofessional doctor I ever encountered as far as I'm concerned. Two weeks later, the Medical Board must have hammered him because he sent the fax from the pharmacy back and scribbled "correct" on their request to give me the proper amount of insulin. I never want to see him again. He put my life in danger and didn't even give a damn! read more

Bottom Line: My 2020 seasonal flu vaccine's a mere $250 out of my pocket. After working for months with a collection agency and ME calling my insurance companies +12 times, I was informed today by one insurance provider that a check was sent 4/19/21 to the Dr.s office for services 10/29/20. However when I called the Dr.s office today I was told my account balance is still pending and "I am up on my postings". Later, during a 3rd call to the Dr office today, I was informed (another excuse) that she did not see the posting before because "it was in a portal and she did not know how **** Health Benefits paid but (again) I am up on postings" (Thou protest too much?). I will be collecting all our medical records and finding a new doctors office which can hire competent, respectful office employees versus some one they "Cherish". read more
