Tried for an hour on the phone to find a primary physician who takes my new insurance. Drove over to this clinic and Angela got me set up with Dr Geeb. Took all of five minutes. Lost a star. It's August and the next appointment is in December. read more

Do not go to this place. It is a waste of time. The nurse practitioner I saw in June wasn't even competent enough to prescribe maintenance medication correctly; instead of looking at what I wrote down that was current, he went with a dosage that was prescribed ten years ago in another state. They also will bill you each month in small amounts ranging from $5-$15 dollars even though you paid your copay during the visit. I had to go to southwest medical after this to actually get competent care. read more

Dr. Mauban is excellent. I never have to wait very long when I'm there. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and offers suggestions. He makes sure that I'm current with Mammograms and other regular tests. The office staff is wonderful. When Dr. Mauban doesn't have any immediate time available, I'm very happy with one of the nurse practitioners. read more

The only reason this location gets 3 stars and not 5 is because the NP that saw me didn't listen to everything I said. I told her I was running low on my pain and muscle relaxers and she only gave me 2 weeks worth of pain and 0 muscle relaxers. The staff and my previous doctor were beyond 5 stars. Hopefully somehow I can get some relief since I'm suffering from lower spine fractures, hip fractures, torn ligaments and torn ACL. I am not a druggie and hate the fact that I was made to feel like one. read more

UMC Primary Care - Summerlin - Family Practice Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

Driven by this building and never realized UMC Primary Care was located behind the Urgent Care, which can be seen from Lake Mead. When I called to make my appointment they had availability the same day so I accepted it. I checked in, waited about 5 mintues and was called back. Because it was my first appointment it did take longer than what I imagine a normal appointment would take because, as it was explained to me, they needed to build my file. So in the end I was there about an hour. Everyone from check in to the PA was great. I honestly wish I'd known this was an option sooner. My were prescriptions were sent and ready for pick up the following day. I didn't even know 90 day supplies were an option. Prior office never offered it. But that office also had a problem even answering the phone, let alone sending my scrips over in a timely manner, which is why I left. read more

I had some blood tests done through UMC Quick Care in February 2024. It took until May 2024 to get a follow-up appointment with the physician I saw via Quick Care. Further, i had a SCHEDULED appointment today, May 21 2024, at 340pm. I was not seen by the physician until 720pm. 3.5 hour wait. I was not told of a significant delay when i checked in. I was not offered to move the appointment, again because i was not told of the significant delay. Further, i heard many patients come out from the back and tell the lady working the front desk to schedule follow-up appointments and check people in that the physician had NO availability until the end of July. yet the physician had asked for a follow-up within 2 weeks. At least 3 different patients in my 3.5 hour delay. at the beginning of my appointment i clearly identified it is unacceptable and unprofessional to keep people waiting 3.5 hours. I also informed the physician this will be the last time they are seeing me as i will be finding a physician in an office that is able to keep at or at least near the scheduled appointment time. I do not recommend this facility. read more

I saw Dr.Mauban a few years ago to sign off some paper work for my job. I needed him to reconfirm some things on the forums because they were unclear. I also needed to get checked up on some other things as well asa physical. I called ahead before hand and asked if this can be done and set up an appointment. I was told to be there at 430. I show up about 415 and says greeted by a nurse who let me know someone was ahead of me. Obviously with COVID-19 being at its peak at the time I understood. I got checked in finally about 445ish. And the Dr came in and basically told me that I should have been here an hour ago because he has... and I'm not kidding here "A hot date" that he is going to miss because of me. Mind you I made the appointment AND was there early. Ok no big deal. We talk about the paperwork and understandably he has to refer me to someone else. Then I mention I have other medical issues I need to have addressed plus I would also like a physical done. He pretty much told me no. That I'll have to come back some other time. His exact words for one of my conditions "how long have you had this for? Oh that can wait I have a hot date with my wife" I literally took off work, risked my health, and listened him talk about how he loves his bidet shooting a stream of water inside if him and it feels "nice once you get the pressure right 17 dollars at Home Depot" WTF? I wish I can make this up. The cherry on top of ALL this. As I'm waiting for my paperwork, I can hear a nurse asking about me. "Did you see your last patient?" "Nope, I have a hot date tonight" "But what about your patient did you see him" "No, I don't want to miss my hot date. I'll tell you the truth. My hot date consists of me putting on basketball shorts and sitting in my hot tub with my wife" Again. WTF. I literally paid some doctor to talk about his new water fetish and brag about his hot tub. While the nursing staff is amazing.... someone should really look into Dr. Mauban. read more

Beware of incorrect bills from this clinic!! I went to the clinic in August 2023 and saw NP Emerlinda Sambo for a routine check up. She seemed nice but it turned out that she's a really bad one! She upcoded my routine check up to a problem-oriented visit and falsely assigned medical diagnoses that I've never had so she could collect more money. She intentionally left out my reason for the visit ("a routine checkup") from her document and wrongfully added diagnoses so she could submit a false claim. On top of that she sent me to get lab tests from an out-of-network lab without telling me even though I asked her to make sure that all services would be covered. Now my insurance denied the lab charges and I have to be responsible for them. I know now why she's ignored all my messages. She has to know that she's a fraud and she's greedy!! How can a healthcare provider can be such a dishonest human being? Does she sleep well at night? it's so sad that we cannot even trust them. Do not go to this clinic! But if you have to, question and double check everything before you leave. You should RECORD your conversation while you're there if you can to protect yourself! BEWARE!! read more

My primary care physician at UMC Summerlin is protected behind a nearly impenetrable veil of inaccessibility. There is one receptionist that is rude and absolutely uncaring. I've seen her send a patient away who had an appointment and who got there early because of a glitch in their system. I didn't hear her apologize to the patient and she was virtually sociopathic in her lack of caring. She sent the lady away to make another appointment on the disgrace of an appointment phone line. She didn't give a rat's ass that the poor woman was disabled and had to come across town to make her appointment. Today, I've been trying to get a hold of my physician's nurse. After many button presses, I receive "hold please" and then music for 70 minutes. My wife called the appointment line for me from another phone, was hung up on twice and finally got an appointment representative. I was offered an appointment 2 weeks down the line and then lectured me about how busy the staff is at Summerlin. That is not ever a good excuse. If patients are important to you, you will make sure you're not understaffed. Then I was told, after holding for 70 minutes that I need to call back at 7am the next day. When people are sick or suffering, the last thing they deserve is condescension and lecturing from uncaring care-givers. Update: After complaining to UMCSN Patient Relations I received a phone call from both Patient Relations and Summerlin Primary Care and was offered an appointment. A few days later, my doctor's nurse called to try and talk me out of taking the appointment. I asked for a reschedule since it was close to a conflict. I was offered no viable alternative and was AGAIN lectured by the Summerlin Primary Care agent. I have to admit, I finally lost it with them and cursed the guy who kept interrupting me. I've canceled my appointments with Summerlin Primary Care and will find another provider. What a nightmare. read more

I give this location a 5 star because I have been going there for the last 15 years or so, and I have gotten bad service. I take that back. Many, many years back, there was a very rude receptionist. I love Dr. Geeb. Yes, sometimes the wait is long, but she is worth the wait. She cares for her patients. She takes the time to listen to you and to explain your illnesses and test results. I went to Dr. Geeb for chronic pain after an accident, asthma or heart problems. She referred me to several other doctors in time. The problem was that the first thing her and her staff told me was "We do not do pain." I had no understanding at the time about pain management doctors or treatment centers. They often treated me like a drug addict or drug dealer for simply asking about "pain pills" to help with my pain. Also, the staff was rude and lack basis human kindness that one would expect healthcare professionals to have. I came to hate going to my primary are doctor visits and eventually stop going. I can't recommend this primary care location. read more

I loved it here the man there took very good care of my mother-in-law and she was very happy with how caring they were.

Took more than 3 weeks to get a referral for an endocrinology from my primary care doctor. I have been calling them many times to follow it up. It took a week to get a call from them that I need to update my insurance that they are my primary care doctor. I called my insurance right away on that day and it was updated. After few days, I called them again and I was told that it's in process but after a week, it was still not done yet after I follow them up again. They will not process it if you don't follow it up. Just today, September 11, 2023 that I finally got the referral. I thought I can get an appointment already with my endocrinologist but when I call, the endocrinology clinic has not received it. I have to call back again the UMC Primary Care-Summerlin to send the referral to a fax number that I gave to them because what they sent before was not received. This is very painstaking for me just to get an an appointment for an endocrinology because of the delay caused by UMC primary care. I'm already out for my medications that was prescribed from the hospital when I got discharged for more than a week now. I am really frustrated of how UMC Primary Care-Summerlin doesn't care of my health and how they put me in this painful process. read more

I like this office, I recently switched to this office from another office who I had a lot of issues with. This primary care has been a lot better, there is not a long wait once you check in (new patients takes a little bit longer to get all information and into system) but their waiting room is clean and not messy with clutter, sometimes you can hear the front desk over the television but that can be overlooked. The nurses, med techs, and the physicians are nice and do get one in and out pretty quickly. I have had better luck here than with other medical offices. I think they do actually care about their patients and do really well to keep them informed and not to keep one waiting for a long time. Now a Days that makes a difference on the wait times and the way one is treated. read more

Dr. Geeb is my primary care physician and I know how frustrating it is to have to wait to be seen. My first visit I had a wait time of 4 hours and I surprised myself that I did not change doctors, however, Dr. Geeb is one of the finest physician and the wait time has been getting shorter but still longer then other places. But if you want her attention then so other patients therefore I rather wait then just have a shotgun visit. I also experienced that I was late and I had to reschedule but that only happened once I hope it will be the only time. If your time is valuable I suggest you look elsewhere for a Doctor. I waited 2.5 hours at that office after being told for over an hour "you are next". I finally left without even seeing the Dr. Dr Geeb may be a great Dr but the experience as a whole was awful. Over a 2.5 hour wait time is asinine! I will be going back to my old primary care Dr, even though his offices moved 20 minutes away. read more

I went there to take an X Ray of my sprained ankle. No emergency, no treatment. The doctor just told me my bone is fine and I can either use ice or pain-relief pills to reduce pains. Such a simple service totally cost me around $300 with insurance. read more

I have had a wonderful experience with this place. Customer service at doctors offices is typically shaky at best. Not here! I get friendly, prompt attention whenever I call or come in. Dr. Mauban is great as well. He has a sports background so we have plenty to talk about and he understands my needs. I can only recommend this location. I love the whole set up, quick care and primary care. Their nurses are very very caring and attentive. I we been with Dr. GEEB for 4 years. Yes, it's true she is inaccessible. I saw other doctors who were very accessible, same day, if you wanted, but lousy bedside manner. 5 minutes you were out of the door. This type of practice is medicine is not my thing. I love Doctor GEEB because she takes her time to listen to you and is attentive to you. I WILL wait for her, I've waited 3 hours, for a good doctor, the wait is not long. I've been in Las Vegas for 12 years and went from doctor to doctor until someone recommended her. I wanted someone like the doctor I had to leave behind to come to Vegas, so done I had for 20 years. I had to wait for him too. It was worth it. That's why quick care in next door, you're in a hurry, hop next door. The reason I don't give a 5 is because I have to wait 3 months to get an appointment, that's my only hangup. But there's a way around that too. read more

most of the reviews here are not for primary care but the urgent care attached to this clinic same with the pictures primary now is rushed but wait time is for ever one doctor and nurse they are rushed and don't have the time needed to spend with a patient if you try and get a med refill forget it the nurse gets the emails but is so busy never reads them i am still waiting after a week and i saw the doctor in office they need help like a second doctor if you can go to another branch with more help read more

I have been a patient of Dr Geeb for the last 4 years. I made a 8am appointment 6 months in advance. 1 month before the appointment I was notified that Dr Geeb would not be there that day and I would have to reschedule. I requested the next available first appointment in the morning and was told I would have to wait until at least May. I was then lectured about how I should book my next appointment before I leave the office and I might be able to get an 8am appointment, meanwhile that is what I had done. I made a last appointment of the day which is 3:40pm. Due to Project Neon and accidents on the freeway I arrived 25 minutes late (at 3:50pm), after being on the road for 55-60 minutes!! I had tried to call to explain that I was going to be late but the phone continued to ring with no answer!!! On my arrival I was told Dr Geeb said I need to reschedule!! Needless to say I was quite disturbed! I have never been late in the last 4 years!!! Every appointment I have had with Dr Geeb I had to wait AT LEAST 2 hours with no complaints (even with the last appointment of the day I have left there at 6:30pm!!). This in addition to many calls made to her, that were not returned in the past, is my impetus to get a new physician!! Due to the unreturned calls I had to go to CVS Minute Clinic for treatment!! read more
