Each time I would visit the site there were only tickets to comedy shows to unknown comedians. I just wanted to voice my disappointment with Fill a Seat Phoenix. I also recently came across a livingsocial deal that offers their 1 year membership at a discounted rate and tried doing some research on what shows they offer and the type of events that are regularly available. However, you must pay the fee before you can even look at the event list. I took the gamble and boy do I feel ripped off. All they offer is low end Comedy Clubs, has been performers, and even tickets to events that are found free elsewhere on the internet. Don't waste your time. I feel like Fill A Seat owes me money even when I paid a discounted rate. If they had 0 stars, I would chose that option. read more

I couldn't agree less with the first review. I have been a member of a Fill-A-Seat as well as a member of HouseSeats. In the 9 months I have been a member of Fill-A-Seat, I have received twelve tickets to some amazing performances in theater, symphony, and vocal groups. There have been a lot of other offerings that were of interest to me, but I have an extremely full schedule. The customer service is wonderful, unlike my other subscription. It is very important to check in often and remember that summer is the slow season in Phoenix. At times there have been up to 10 different events offered. Yes, there are comedy clubs offered, but lots of other stuff too! My other subscription usually says nothing available. So, be flexible, be adventurous, try something new and enjoy Fill-A-Seat. read more

Fill A Seat continues to be a fantastic way to see current shows - affordably. In 2014, I saw twenty four different shows ranging from Mozart, Jackie Evancho, Michael Bolton to spending an evening with Kevin Kline. Unlike other reviewers, I only went to one comedy show since Fill a Seat is so much more than comedy. There were never extra costs for the Symphony or the plays or the concerts. Most of my friends have joined so we attend these events in groups which makes it even more fun. The only downside is that you must watch the site frequently because the great shows do sell out quickly. We watch the site and send out texts to each other to reserve the tickets. Yes, I should be keeping this membership a secret since that means more tickets for me but I felt Fill A Seat deserved the recognition for a job well done! Kudos to the Fill A Seat team. read more

I have been a member for 2 years now and I love the program. I have been able to get tickets to sporting events (last year, even a college bowl game!), Concerts, Theater shows, Comedy shows, etc. and all for one low price. The normal price is $80.00 for two for an entire years worth of shows. We have found a Groupon to lower that price to half off! Even if you only go to a few shows all year, you will save money. Not sure what other people are complaining about. What they ever paid for a show before? Going to the movies can cost you $40.00 for two with soda and popcorn! read more

I have had a membership for a few years now and I continue to love it more each time I use it. I am a huge fan of finding cheap fun entertainment for me and my kids. I have had the opportunity to introduce them to the symphony and theater. I have gone to comedy shows, sporting events, concerts, and festivals. I tell everyone I know about it. I've been with Fill A Seat for a bit over a year now (I just renewed) I love it. I go to shows and events that I would not normally, and with the variety that are offered, you'll probably discover something new and fun yourself if you're patient. Only the comedy shows usually require a 2-drink minimum purchase, but everything else is totally free through the service. One thing to note! Subscribers, please watch your tones and volume when picking up your tickets at the venue! I can't tell you how many times I hear somebody loudly announce something like - "I'm with Fill A Seat" and even mentions of "free tickets" to a ticket person only a couple of feet in front of them. It's in the rules that you're supposed to be DISCREET when picking up your tickets. How would you feel if you just paid $40 or $150 for one ticket and you hear this person behind you get free tickets? read more

Although I agree there's too many wrestling/fighting type offerings, we have had some good comedy shows and no drink minimums and been to the Herberger and a small theater by PV Mall and the Ballet and Symphony....I do check several times a day as the more cultural events sell out quickly! But I do feel we've gotten our money's worth and then some as well as gone to some enjoyable venues we wouldn't have otherwise gone to! I did try a few events and it seems that the Arizona Event Center has the most events listed as well as some comedy shows, but in my opinion, its not worth it. I signed up for this membership as a Christmas gift for my husband and we are so happy we got it. We have attended numerous shows and events we never would have gone to if we didn't have this membership. Every event we have attended has been wonderful, we have never had a bad seat so far and we enjoy bringing friends along with us to enjoy the events we attend. I have many friends who had never heard of this membership before and they think it is awesome. I love Fill A Seat I have been a member for almost a year and in May I will be renewing. I am a single mother and it really comes in handy due to expenses. I have been to all kinds of events and been able to take my kids to events as well. I have been to comedy shows, dance performances, concerts, among many other things. It really is a good deal. I am very disappointed in this "gimmick". As other readers said, there is nothing but comedy clubs and rage fighting events. The proportion of cultural events to comedy is miniscule. They do not provide the services as advertising. I am filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. They are difficult to work with. This was a waste of money. I would challenge anyone to let us know how many musical or cultural events they went to over the course of a month or even a year. They have rebranded as seat junky since July 2017. Separating Las Vegas from the rest of the pack. Seat junky in phoenix should be rebranded as junky seats. They don't offer decent events anymore. Mostly UFC fights and third rate standup comedy. At this point I don't recommend joining in phoenix. Hopefully they get better as they rethink their business strategies. Our first 7 months (thru mid 2013) was great as we went to 5 or 6 events of which all but the comedy club were worth our time. The Phoenix Symphony, a few local theater events, were definitely worth the Fill-a-seat cost. But since mid 2013 we have not gone to another event as they have had just Comedy Club and Cage Fighting events, both of which we are not interested in. We were members of fill-a-seat for the past two years, but this year I did not renew our membership to the Phoenix area. Reason? We love the Phoenix Symphony venues and attended every one we could, but it became apparent that we were being 'moved up' as the season continued--and by 'up' I mean from beginning seats on the floor and first balcony, then higher to the second balcony and finally all the way up to the 'nosebleed' seats, even at performances that were not especially well attended and where many vacant rows with better seats were available. The last 6 months have been the worst...the fill-a-seat attendees have definitely been singled out for 'grouping' in the worst seats and are 'guarded' by symphony volunteers. Unfortunately as well, many fill-a-seat attendees are loud and uncouth at the symphony, using cell phones throughout the performance and generally behaving as if they've never been in a symphony hall....which probably is the reason we were relegated to the upper section to begin with! At any rate, we won't be renewing...I'd rather buy 'real' tickets 'and sit where I can hear the music and see the stage. And one more thing--the Symphony is usually the only venue worth attending when you don't care for rage-in-the-cage or bar comedy shows... read more

I have been a member for a year and a half and have loved it. I got to experience a lot of plays and shows that I never would have even known about. I actually added it all up the other days and I have used 52 tickets at a face value of over 1000.00 since I signed up. I give it two thumbs up. You just have to make sure that you check it every day so you do not miss out. They do go quick! read more

One thing negitive that I do want to add is that at the beatles tribute on 12/27/2013 at the AZ Event Center. My fillaseat confirmation said the event started at 5pm and it actually didnt start till 7pm. Will not renew. Needs a larger variety and availability of venues. Regular venues include comedy clubs w/a 2 drink minimum, Rage in the Cage & MMA fighting, and womens basketball. I check the website 1-2 times/day, and anytime there is something that I might have been interested in, it is already listed as sold out! There was 1 Coyotes game listed, a concert at Celebrity Theater, and a couple of plays that were "sold out." It always makes me wonder just exactly how many seats they had to begin with? Not many I assure you. ****Sometimes when youb find an interesting venue they will allow you one ticket only (I have a 2 person membership) and you have to purchase an additional one for the 2nd person. Then there was a weight loss clinic that supposedly offered a free consultation so they can get u in there to sell you stuff. Giving away free tickets has been proven time and again to be a bad idea. It usually indicates that a show is not worth seeing and it destroys the bottom line of most companies. If you listen to the promo for this Fill a Seat, they say "Most shows and events do not view locals as their main market." That might be true in Vegas or New York, but what do they think the main market is in Phoenix? So if you enjoy going to crappy shows, then by all means become a member. Otherwise, buy tickets and support your local theater, symphony, ballet, opera etc. They will appreciate that, since they know that locals ARE their main market. We have had a membership for over 2 years and have attended about 50 different cultural events from symphony, theater, Shakespeare, ballet to modern/contemporary dance performances. The first year we had a 2 ticket membership and the 2nd year we upgraded to a 4 ticket membership, so we could invite others to join us. If we had bought tickets to all these venues, we would have spend well over $5,000. We are extremely happy we are able to do so much on our fixed retirement income. We could not attend these wonderful performances, if it wasn't for Fill A Seat Phoenix. read more

At first I had my doubts about this membership, I thought it would be second rate shows and events, but instead I've been blown away by the shows & events available. My wife thinks I'm a genius for saving us so much money and we go out multiple times a week! After 13 years of knowing each other, we had no idea we could still have so much fun together! We try out new events and shows all the time, that we never thought possible before. Ballets, symphony, MMA fights, comedy shows, concerts and so much more!!! We feel like the first event we went to was worth the membership cost alone, but we have gone to two events per week for a month now and I must admit, I think we got the best steal of a deal with Fill a Seat!!!! We will be renewing every year and giving membership gifts to all our friends! I love Fill A Seat Phoenix​. I'm on my 3rd year and plan on renewing again. Comedy, great concerts, sports, plays, Symphonies! I upgraded last year to a 4 person membership cause my 8 year old, my adult kids and my friends would argue over who gets to go. Like anything, there are times when not much is going on, but most of the time there are activities at least 2- 3 times per week to go to. I'm really glad I got started. If you haven't purchased a membership to fillaseat.com I believe you could find it well worth your while! They continually post offerings from various entertainment venues & tickets that you obtain from them are usually totally FREE!!! I have seen, for instance, tickets to comedy clubs, water parks, expo's, and concerts. We recently attended a concert ...this was a VERY famous act...and because we were able to snag 4 free seats we experienced the privilege inviting some dear friends to attend with us! What a treat! When you become a member, don't be discouraged if you don't see something of interest to you right away. Just be diligent about checking back even a couple times a day if you can...sometimes things get posted and then snatched up quickly! So far we have been able to find some awesome experiences that have been totally family friendly (you do need to observe the event's listing closely though to see the age restrictions that may apply) & that is important to us. read more
