The sphere was so cozy and comfortable, and the engineering and design behind the sphere is just incredibly intelligent and such a marvel. The owners/hosts also do such a great job of making your stay 100% comfortable. They prepared a big snack basket for us inside our sphere filled with baked goods, granola bars, and fruit, and another small plate of fruit and cheesecake and a small bottle of champagne. They also prepared the most delicious yogurt parfait for us to eat for breakfast the next morning. Lying in the sphere in the forest is just the most amazing and tranquil experience. Our sphere had a wireless bluetooth speaker which we used to play relaxing music in the evening and in the morning. The acoustics in the sphere are fantastic. I loved waking up in the sphere and just staring outside the window in the morning, looking at the tree branches surrounding us with some soft jazz music playing in the background. For anyone who is worried, the bathroom facilities are also super clean and modern and comfortable. They are just a short walk away and there are headlamps provided in case you need to walk there at night. I honestly can't recommend this experience enough! It was definitely pricey ($330 for one night, and our sphere was the cheapest available), but I am really glad we did it and am looking forward to returning again in the future!

I could tell the owner of the home actually cared about it and her neighbours because she asked questions about the guests that would be staying to make sure we weren't a bunch of teenagers looking to throw a rager. She also asked questions about our dogs and we were so lucky she agreed to let them stay for a small extra cleaning fee which is 100% reasonable and understandable. Upon arriving, the garage was upstairs and Kristine was super welcoming and warm when she greeted us and showed us around. She also went above and beyond by having a few treats waiting for us and staying for an extra bit of time to answer so many of our questions as we'd never been to the island before. Super helpful and even if she was in a rush to get to her family for Thanksgiving, she didn't rush us or make it seem like she was eager to get away. We couldn't believe the view when we got to the main floor. Seriously, it was beautiful even with the rainy weather we got. The kitchen also had enough in it to make it functional - pots, pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, salt, pepper, etc. Very thoughtful for guests so you don't have to buy cheap, crappy sets for one time use. Over all, it was an amazing stay. We got to meet Karin on our way out and she was just as pleasant as Kristine. Such a nice, friendly crew for a beautiful home. There wasn't a thing we could ask for improvements on during our stay. Thank you Karin and Kristine!

But it's an experience akin to "fawlty towers" staying here. amateur. messy. horrible service. be prepared to tidy up after others if you wish to lay poolside, use the one fire pit or request a kayak. this is an expensive non luxury experience. I've stayed at Travelodge and Airbnb that were better at a fraction of the price. and for what is available in this area, it's not that special. special callout goes to the atrocious front desk staff. second runner up is the housekeeping that took three separate visits to clean the room yet still didn't provide towels or coffee. and when something broke in the room it took three calls and over an hour to get a simple repair done. I will NEVER stay here again

An instant favourite was the scallops which was rich and creamy without being overly heavy. The atmosphere is casual but classy, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, and the flavors are expertly balanced.

We also weren't expecting the best room as we saw how much the price fluctuated depending on where you are on the property, some are ocean views and much bigger suites. The hotel photographs better than it actually looks. The location is just outside of the city by 7 mins which we didn't mind at all, the location is beautifully located right on the water but boy could it be so much better with a good upgrade and modernization. We checked in easy and the staff was pleasant. We got to our room and it was abit weird in terms of layout. Stairs down to the double bed room. There's a table randomly in the corner with one chair. The room is spacious but there's nothing to fill the space, there's no artwork either when they could totally lean into the West coast of it all. The bathroom was freezing and shoved to the back of the room like a closet - no window or ventilation. The decks have absolutely no privacy screening and the furniture is really uncomfortable so it's not the most pleasant to sit outside unless you really wanna chat with your neighbors. The beds were the best part - super comfy mattress and sheets. The amenities are worn down - we went to the gym and a lot of the stuff wasn't working. We didn't try the pool as it was quite busy with kiddos. We did however enjoy sitting on the dock down by the water for abit to soak in the ocean and sun! When we were ready to leave our car was absolutely covered in bird shit lol. There should be some sort of warning to not park under a particular tree at the back as apparently it happened to the guy next to us too a day before so he switched parking spots! We had to go to the gas station to wash it off. All in all I'd look at other options next time.
