They have a bar and restaurant which serves diner and breakfast buffet (dinner require advance reservation). The dining experience: Arriving in the charming restaurant, gives the feeling of walking into a real world adventure story. The decour gives the illusion of stepping a few hundred years back in time. Our waitress bid us welcome and showed us to our seats, and shortly thereafter our dinner started. All the courses were above expectations, and the wines accompanied the food well. We had two in our party that does not enjoy red wine, and our waitress assisted in switching to a fitting white wine without any hassle. A lovely evening, with lovely food. The Hotel: Charming and confusing. The old building from 1581 shows its age in the ways that floors and walls are skewed and tilting. It was interesting that it was after the dinner with all the wine that i felt like i could walk straight without worrying about my balance. But this is part of the charm that Hotel Dagmar has. The room was cozy and had all the amenities we could need. All in all, a great stay i would recommend to anyone. The only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars, is because 5 stars are reserved for michelin level dining experiences :) EDIT: Changed to 5 stars as the stars should fall within what can be expected of the price range. Despite some refreshes in the interior over time you can tell it is dated and an older building. We did like the large house like windows in the rooms but the room for 4 people is very crammed with a small bathroom and the bunk bed taking a lot of space. The top bunk does have very shallow railings so my wife and I slept on it worried the kids would roll off. As part of the Lego experience the staff was amazing, super friendly and positive with the kids. They have a booklet at check in with 3 different competitions the kids can do. One of them is building using the free lego bricks in the room and all throughout the property. Every month they have a different theme and you put your build on a shelf in the lobby and see if you won the next day. The two others involve a scavenger hunt looking for different signs and counting different things on proprety. If you win you can choose from some small free sets.

There is nothing wrong with that, because it's just where you are going to sleep, and kill a little time. The treasure is Legoland, which is connected to the park, via a overpass/bridge, and down the street, about 10 minutes.. Lego House (aka.. the Logo Experiential Museum). Yes, if you look at Lego House, which was built just a few years ago, then compare with the Hotel Logoland experience, it's not the same, and it's going to downgrade the experience. However, the joy of hotel is that for your kiddo (which is why I went), is that they don't care about the details that adults care about, they just love it's all Lego, and that's why it wins. The rooms are exactly what you expect, Lego themed. They aren't large, at least the one I was in, but every detail about the room, feels like it was ripped from a Lego set, and that's perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast option, which was included, it's not the most bar raising European buffet, but it was great for us and the Kiddos. To be fair, we stayed at a few fairly good places on our Denmark holiday, and the quality bar was probably too high, by the time we got here. Look, what you get here is perfect for your kiddo, and if you are a kid at heart adult, you are likely to get something out of the total experience also. Is it a 5-start resort, nope, but will it make your Lego heart happy, likely yes.

The rooms looked so nice compared to other options closer to town so we decided to give the Postgarden a try. Their website makes it easy to select the type of room that suits your needs and they provide pictures of most of the rooms which are very helpful. When we arrived were were greeted pleasantly and immediately felt welcome here. The pictures are very representative of the modern, clean and beautifully decorated rooms. Their facilities are some of the best we experienced in our 12 day visit to Denmark. We had a wonderful room with a four poster bed, refrigerator, microwave and tea kettle, and wonderfully appointed bathroom with a shower and a spa tub. Our room was so nice and cozy with a spacious sitting area that we opted to stay in our room and enjoy the hotel most of the time. This is in a very small town so there is not much else to do in the immediate vicinity, but there is a grocery store across the street and it seems most rooms have some sort of kitchenette. There is also a fine dining / gourmet restaurant called Ribehøj that was only a 10 minute drive where we dined which was spectacular.
