The dining area itself has huge glass windows and greenery throughout so it feels much better than an American buffet. They have an area with hot foods in back under a heatlamp. Bacon, sausage, eggs, and pancakes with Nutella in small single serving packets. The youngest loved nutella on pancakes. In the middle sections there is fresh fruit and fresh bread you cut yourself. The bread is much higher quality than US bread and even though it was "buffet level" it was still compared to what we are used to eating. Not crowded and perfect for a fast bite and to control your portions.

We did like the large house like windows in the rooms but the room for 4 people is very crammed with a small bathroom and the bunk bed taking a lot of space. The top bunk does have very shallow railings so my wife and I slept on it worried the kids would roll off. As part of the Lego experience the staff was amazing, super friendly and positive with the kids. They have a booklet at check in with 3 different competitions the kids can do. One of them is building using the free lego bricks in the room and all throughout the property. Every month they have a different theme and you put your build on a shelf in the lobby and see if you won the next day. The two others involve a scavenger hunt looking for different signs and counting different things on proprety. If you win you can choose from some small free sets.

The treasure is Legoland, which is connected to the park, via a overpass/bridge, and down the street, about 10 minutes.. Lego House (aka.. the Logo Experiential Museum). Yes, if you look at Lego House, which was built just a few years ago, then compare with the Hotel Logoland experience, it's not the same, and it's going to downgrade the experience. However, the joy of hotel is that for your kiddo (which is why I went), is that they don't care about the details that adults care about, they just love it's all Lego, and that's why it wins. The rooms are exactly what you expect, Lego themed. They aren't large, at least the one I was in, but every detail about the room, feels like it was ripped from a Lego set, and that's perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast option, which was included, it's not the most bar raising European buffet, but it was great for us and the Kiddos. To be fair, we stayed at a few fairly good places on our Denmark holiday, and the quality bar was probably too high, by the time we got here. Look, what you get here is perfect for your kiddo, and if you are a kid at heart adult, you are likely to get something out of the total experience also. Great local Danish food in a nice historical building located about 15 minutes away from Billund…read more We tried eating at Refborg without reservations but they were fully booked, luckily the kind lady working there recommended Folskov Kro and we came immediately after confirming they had a table for us. It's in a lovely small town in the countryside of Denmark, the drive was beautiful and it was some of the cleanest farms and buildings I have ever seen. Inside is charming and nice, we were the only ones eating around 5:45PM but it was more filled by the time we left. Overall the food was excellent as well as the staff who were kind and attentive and let me sample a dram of their local Gin. The one big thing for the kitchen to improve on is timing, the gap between starters and mains was awkwardly long and it was so long my wife got full and I had to force myself to eat her burger. Bread and Butter: Both were excellent and you could tell a lot of care went into making them as well as the simple but effective plating. Lumpfish Roe: Served on an interesting plate with the center elevated, the roe is stacked high like a traditional Danish open-face sandwich. Delicious and a very interesting and unique roe that is smaller and slightly more fishy. Pumpkin Soup: Creme Fraiche, green oil, pumpkin seeds, and bacon. Tasted great of a cold day. Poached white fish: garnished with dill and a cheese bases sauce, tasted very Scandinavian in a good way. Pepper Burger: This was massive and the fries were prepped differently than the kids dinner. I normally dont like these kind of extra crispy fries but they were very good here. The burger was aldo good and tasted like pepper in a bold but not overpowering way.
