Captain John is a really nice guy and he did his job, but we signed up to go shark fishing and were immediately told that sharks aren't biting so he took us to deeper water and we fished for mackerel. The problem was that while we were fishing for mackerel we kept hearing that people were catching sharks. The whole reason I was excited to go was to see sharks up close so in my opinion he ruined our day. Update: Captain John's recommendation that we take our catch to the nearby restaurant to have it cooked so we could eat it right away turned out to be a let down. They charged a fortune to do like 4 minutes of work. Cocoa Beach has turned out to be a full on rip off at every turn. read more

We went on a bioluminescent tour and it was great. I loved that it was a private tour. Our captain was amiable and made sure we had a good time. Highly recommend. We were informed to be at the dock 15 minutes before departure, our captain was late hence not 5 stars and please stop saying to tip your captain. It does not need to be in bold letters in every email confirming your trip or if you call and ask a question. I will tip just do not make it an issue. read more

So while on vacation in Coco Beach we took the bioluminescent tour! We had the boat to ourselves! One of the coolest experiences I've ever had. The water was only 2 feet deep which put our minds at ease. Our Captain was so knowledgeable and allowed us to ask all the questions we could possibly have. He also encouraged us to put hands in water and helped us with our phone settings to get the best pictures. Our God daughter who is mildly autistic and has sensory issue enjoyed it so much. Best crew for fishing adventure! Went out earlier today with a group of friends and spent the whole day on the ocean. Nate was out guide and he took us all over to find the best catches. Never did we think that we would be leaving today with so many variety of fish to eat. We caught king fish, dolphin, rainbow fish, and other variety. My friend, Scott, has gone out with Jamie and had an amazing time. I would highly recommend this group for any fishing adventure you may be interested in. Great for novice or experienced fishing person. Nate baited and casted the lines for us and then guided us on how to reel in different fish. When it got difficult he even helped me himself to reel in a big fish. Best of all they fillet the fish for you!!!! We had an unbelievable day with Captain Nathan Brady. He took us out and within an hour we had non-stop action for 4 straight hours! Our group could barely reel in fish by the end of the trip. We caught huge Mangrove Snapper, Cobia, Amberjack, sharks, African Pompano and Almaco Jacks, all in the same spot. I grew up in CB, moved away, and return on vacation to visit family. Growing up here in the 70s and 80s, we were in the water all the time, skiing, boating, camping on the islands....NEVER knew there was bioluminescence in the Banana River! Took the family out on a Fin & Fly private boat tour. It was excellent! The mullet were running - looking like shooting stars. We came across a dolphin that raced the boat for a moment, glowing in blue. We were encouraged to play in the water, reaching out with poles and our hands. Captain was knowledgeable and congenial - great stories! He clearly loves his work. This was the BEST trip ever! It was amazing to be up and out of the water to see across the river. Do NOT miss this trip!! We will be back and will go again. While kayaks may give you a more close up experience, we still got to play in the water and we had a better field of view. We also took my 96 y/o mother on this trip. It was easy to get her in and out of the boat. The trip with Fin & Fly Fishing Charters is great for all ages. read more

Was told wind speeds would be 20 knots according to some bouy markers that register and update every 20 minutes. Captains of our group werent "comfortable" going out with the projections they were stating. Found out later, there was another charter scheduled for that day. What they didnt know is that one person of our group is a pilot and looks at the same information for his job, and wind speeds never reached double digits 17-22 miles offshore. Captains decided to alter trip to inshore shark fishing. Basically, a gloried freshwater catfishing experience. Put some chunk meat on a hook, sit and wait... For 4 hours... only 4 bites. I mean, Im no saltwater expert, nor anywhere near close to claiming it. But, in freshwater fishing, you alter bait/location to find what they want/where they are that day... 4 hours of the same thing... 1/2 mile change in location was all that was tried. Some days, fish just arent on, I get it. In our case, it was just a total lack of effort all the way around. They did an awesome job of playing the game to get paid with little to no effort and very subpar results. Would not recommend this charter! read more
