I have been a Small Business Consultant for both Wholesale Design Companies & Fashion & Gift Retail Stores. While I am capable of almost all financial guidelines for these types of businesses, I am nowhere near being an accountant. I can set up systems for business to track expenses, categorize them, produce P&L's, etc, but really have no idea what to depreciate, how to handle the tax needs of various independent business owners setup in different tax situations (LLC's, S-Corps, Sole Proprietors) Etc. This is where Kevin comes to the rescue. I have had both difficult & easy clients (personality wise); Kevin was able to handle both w/ professional aplomb. As well, all of my clients had needs very particular to the Wholesale/Retail Industries, with many difficult to track overlaps between their personal & and professional financial lives. I think this H&R Block location (coat closet location) needs a revamp and better privacy. I had a…read moremixture of documents for my 2019 taxes, 1099, w-2, etc. Upon trying to do my own taxes, I definitely needed help. So I decided to get help from a very close office. I had went to Tyler, good guy... so it ended up they really needed to fix 2018, so for personal reasons I decided to do my 2019 at a later date. One big thing I hated was privacy was horrible. In the coats closet sized office I heard the guy behind me worked for bard, the person next to me worked somewhere else. Also another pet peeve- I had a $25 referral coupon, FOR NEW CUSTOMERS from my brother. Upon switching H&R Block Locations, because of the privacy issue stated above. The new associate said I can't use it cause I am an established customer. Tyler had scammed me. I will keep on using Kingston location, even if I have to cross the bridge. Lol!
