I have only positive things to say about Raul--he is an amazing person and helped us end our vacation on a lively and memorable note! He also took many photos for us and even joined in on some of them. Raul was on time picking us up in the morning and was very pleasant and professional. Our destinations during the day included the rainforest, a natural waterslide, a delicious food kiosk, the beach and a bio bay tour. Raul has a wealth of knowledge about Puerto Rico and its culture and was very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the tour. It was evident he truly loves what he does. He also has a great sense of pride in his home and its history. While I most definitely enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful sights and experiences, Raul himself left a profound impression on me. He is one of the most genuine, humble and hardworking people I have ever met. He has a terrific sense of humor and was very easy to get along with. After spending a few hours with him, I felt like he was part of our group of friends. At the end of the tour when he was officially "off shift," we invited him to join us at a small neighborhood bar near the condo at which we were staying. After a long day, he could have chosen to decline and go home; instead, we shared a few drinks and stories and lots of laughs. It was a fabulous ending to an epic day!!

She was extremely knowledgeable about the rain forest and Puerto Rico in general. We used 2 buses and the 2nd driver was equally as knowledgeable. The tour was punctual, very comfortable conditions and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend using their services.

The tour offered all the details on the making of rum and the history of Bacardi, and I was surprised that Bacardi is the largest privately held, family-owned spirits company in the world. Most impressive, especially in 2026 with all the buyouts and corporate mergers. If you have the opportunity, don't pass it up as everything is clean, organized and the staff is friendly and helpful.

This takes you through the facility explaining the history of the Bacardi brand. You end the your tour in a tasting room sampling their limited and exclusive rare rum. This tour includes a token, which you can trade in for a signature drink the main bar area...valued at around $12. There are other tour options, longer and more expensive. An interesting option is the mixology tour which you are able to craft your own cocktails...that tour is $80. The main waiting area has a bar as well as a small food stall area, which they sell light snacks and eating options for purchase. There are lots of tables and various types of seating...a nice space to relax. There was also live music played when I visited at around 5pm on a Thursday. There is also an indoor area, called the Bat Cave, which is essentially a indoor bar with tables and chairs, for those who don't want to be outside. All staff throughout my visit were great...very friendly, patient and helpful. I did end up driving there due to my schedule and it was about a 25-minute drive from the Old San Juan area. There is a ferry you can take from the Old San Juan Cruise/Ferry port which connects you with a shuttle bus/van that takes you to Casa Bacardi.

Wesley picked us up in the parking lot and gave us a ride up to the starting point, which was a covered observation deck that gave us a beautiful view while we waited for the rest of the travelers to arrive for the tour. There was also a bathroom there so so that you didn't have to do the tour in discomfort. Our tour started with our guide, Henesis (hope I got that right), gently explaining that the Hacienda had two parts - a cacao farm and a chocolate production facility offsite at the owner's home. She had a very informative, but lighthearted and interesting presentation explaining how coal started in the rainforest, and so they had to reproduce similar condition so that the cacao trees would flourish. As we walked through the Hacienda grounds, she explained the lifecycle of and gives us fascinating insights about the many challenges of cacao agriculture. We went to the tasting area, where Jan gave us a fun and insightful overview of the entire cacao and chocolate production process. One possible, the staff showed examples of cacao pods, had a taste a seed.(tasted like a mango), and then tasted a 75%, 65% and a 55% chocolate along with a white chocolate with caramel and coffee. All of them were amazingly flavorful and delicious - some of the most wonderful chocolate I've had - - - and I've had it all over the world made by some of the greatest chocolatiers in Europe and Asia. Ww added the optional beverages - the room was so smooth - I've never had rum neat that I liked as much as this one. And the cava perfectly paired with the chocolates as well. It was wonderful to experience this Hacienda - and I recommended to anyone who loves chocolate ! You'll receive a confirmation email, which includes important info- especially in case of rain- such as what to bring and where to park. Pay close attention to signs and parking instructions. Do not drive up the hill yourself (you're not allowed to) as the ground is rough with craters and rocks. You'll be directed to park in a designated area and special jeeps will transport guests up to where the main event takes place. Our journey began with a relaxed meet-and-greet in a rustic welcome shed- a breezy, open-air space with a roof for shade and the sounds of nature all around. As hubs and I arrived, we settled in and got acquainted with others before the real adventure began. Our guide Genesis took us on a short but scenic walk through a small patch of the cacao groves. It's a small hike, but it's packed with info. Along the way, we learned about their cacao trees and why they plant companion trees to support them. After about 20-30 minutes of the Q&A, we head uphill to their main space and all sit out on the patio. And then, the story of Hacienda Chocolat truly comes to light. Here, they dive deeper into the farm's history, learn how their chocolate is made and we all got to taste their tooth-size chocolate 'bar' (yeah, tiny) and rich hot cocoa. Once on site, we had a few minutes in the Margarita Bar to take a bathroom break, grab water or snack, etc. Then we went to another area to get our gear put on and then headed to the first line. Before getting started one of the guides gave instructions on what not to do with the gear, how to hold on and how to pull yourself in if you don't make it all of the way to the next platform. Next the adventure began. I don't recall the description saying that there were open-slated wooden bridges to cross or slightly steep and possibly slippery hills to climb. I can say that my nerves, glutes and hamstrings got an intense workout. lol. The last line ends back at the Margarita Bar, perfect for if you need a shot after. The guides help you get all of the gear off. The views were great, and I really did enjoy myself. I made it across successfully on all 5 lines. It was more work than I bargained for but I'm glad that I went and would consider doing it again. All of the tour guides assisting us were great and everyone in our tour survived the experience.
