Victor was our tour guide, and he was AMAZING!!! He is super knowledgeable about Taino history, and his stops all consisted of a very interesting botany and history lesson! When we go again, we will be requesting him as our guide. He literally gave us the best 2hrs and the experience was so worth the $293 (for 2 atv's). I enjoyed the experience overall. We chose the ATV-only package, which was $70, and it was a decent value. The experience started with about 30 minutes of instructions and getting set up, followed by an hour riding through the rainforest. One thing I really appreciated was that we stopped to take photos something I haven't experienced on similar tours before, so that was a nice touch. We also had a quick 10-minute stop for food before wrapping up. We went on Sunday. Nice sceneries The only downside was that our tour guide kept commenting on how fast or slow we were going. Keep in mind this is my first time horseback riding. You will get beautiful scenery and definitely that people are super helpful. I was really nervous going through the trails because I got the oldest horse and he wanted to do whatever he wanted to. I was concerned at times of my safety, but I asked the gentleman that was there and he coached me through and try to stay with me as much as possible.. I do not like the fact that these old horses have to be put through these business money, making events. They have several times to ride and I just wish they had young horses only. This place is FUN!!! We didn't pay two excursions here. One was ATV/UTV tour and the other was horse back riding on the beach. First we loved our tour guide Mikey he was fun and friendly, he was knowledgeable and knew the area. We went on a two hour tour that brought us to a few spots for pictures along with a river to take a dip. He drew on us with rocks! lol we stopped at a small restaurant with some food for purchase and pina colada's with a bunch of cats! They had a restroom too. Overall the experience was worth it we spent about $600 for a family of 4. On a separate day we went on horseback to the beach. It was fun but crazy!!! These horses are trained but definitely have a mind of their own. It POURED the entire time. But this excursion is rain or shine! There is a weight limit and shoe requirement. We stopped a a bar that had drinks and food this was a very well organized place. Overall highly recommend! Things to know: bring cash to tip the workers, wear closed toed shoes, have face coverings and glasses for eyes, bring towels and change of clothes to leave in your car. The horseback riding adventure in the middle of the rainforest was a really cool experience and something fun to do while checking out the views. the horses were older and pretty tame so it's an excursion for all ages and when I say all ages, I had a three year-old little boy in front of me riding on his own horse and he was loving it. Overall my friends and I had a great experience ATVing here. Our tour guide was very friendly and allowed us to stop for pictures and also showed us how to make art with rocks from a nearby stream. However, the check-in and set up process could be greatly improved. We had a 4:30 reservation and they told us to get there by 3:45. However, it was around 5:07pm when we actually started our ATV session. They also ended later than expected, which messed up the rest of our plans for the night. read more

This was an amazing experience! I had so much fun. Paola was a wonderful tour guide. She was very knowledgeable of the equipment and entire process. She was also very attentive and kept a pretty steady but fun speed. We did the UTV which included helmets and instructions of course. You do not have to drive yourself if you came with someone. They can drive for you if you are more of a passenger like myself. The rainforest was so beautiful and it was a bit rainy on this day which made it very wholesome for me. Stopping by the river was tranquil. Being able to use the rocks to paint our faces with super cool. We signed up at the front where we had to fill out paperwork and signed the waiver. My husband and I went to Puerto Rico for our anniversary - and any place that we travel to, we always try to find an amazing ATV tour, and we are so glad we found Carabali! Everything seemed very organized, from the minute we checked in. We got a quick presentation on how to use the ATVs (we are pretty experienced) and then we got all of our helmets and were set up on our ATVs. We were both drivers, but they also had options where you could be a passenger (sit behind the driver) or UTVs where it's more like a car with multiple seats across and behind. There was quite a bit of people at our timeframe, but they split us into groups of 8 with different leaders - so it worked out really nice! The ride was fun with beautiful views! We have been on some pretty adventurous/rough rides, but this was great! Definitely a bit more tame than we are used to, but we still really enjoyed it. We did the 2 hour ride and it included a stop at the Mamayes River, where we got to take a dip (SO refreshing and beautiful), then we stopped somewhere that served some pastries (we got an empanadilla de pizza and papa rellena - YUM) and non-alcoholic drinks in coconuts! Riding ATV's through the breathtaking foothills of the El Yunque Tropical Rainforest in Puerto Rico was our favorite! Janlied was our guide and he was the absolute best! We felt safe at all times. Book the 2 hrs it's worth it! Carabalí has been owned by the same family since 1977 and has so much history. Janlied made it fun to learn some of the interesting things about the local plants and people. He picked flowers for the ladies and made use some crowns out of ferns and even gave us some face paint using the minerals extracted from the stones. We stopped a few times for the views, pictures and swimming. The property is so well kept and maintained and the staff are all so nice and helpful. What an amazing day. We were on a UTV excursion led by Mark Anthony. He led us through some rough terrain to stop at some beautiful sites. We did the one hour excursion, I wish we would have signed up for the 2-hour trip. It was so much fun. We stopped at a river where we were able to go swimming. Everything was going good until the staff asked our group to put our bags in their office while we went on the horses and came back instead of offering us lockers which we had no knowledge they had any. On our return there was money missing from our bags 4/9 of us as we had a big party and nobody cared and brushed it off and we were told that they were not responsible! we had the best guide named jonathan. he was very professional and caring watching over everyone and making adjustments for all different riding levels. A very interesting and friendly guy. The beach in luquillo was beautiful and the shack that sold juices and the best empanadas we've had so far with meat and a dollop of cream cheese perfectly fried and fluffy. We did the 2.5 hour beach horse back riding and ATVs! It was an amazing experience. They properly train you before hand for each, they check in on you multiple times and even crack jokes which helped with my nerves when I was on the horse. For horse back riding there were multiple staff members assisting people with feet placement and redirecting the horses when they decided to grab a snack from the bushes lol. For ATVs you stop multiple times but it's to check in and to grab water/snacks/bathroom breaks as well as to take a 20 minute dip in the river. We also stopped for the beautiful views and our tour guide Christopher took our photos. He was so gentle, reassuring and helpful. I would absolutely come back. I would like to save someone a terrible horrific experience with this unprofessional establishment. Before you think of purchasing please NOTE you will not receive a refund when they scam you. I pd for my experience a month in advance. When I arrived to the rainforest they told me I needed the card I booked with, which I had on my digital wallet and they refused to accept that and demanded we pay cash for the experience. I booked for my family and unfortunately my husband was 3 pounds over the WEIGHT LIMIT OF 235. They refused to refund us our money and refused us to ride. This was after we pd $200 for a taxi shuttle and $650 on my card and $650 in cash. This establishment needs to also train their employees on professionalism as the employees were beyond rude laughing at us as we were navigated begging them for a refund. Please save your self from this company and go else where!!!!! read more

I came to Carabalí Rainforest Adventure Park excited to celebrate my birthday, and it turned into one of the most frustrating and upsetting experiences I've ever had on vacation. I had prepaid $330 for a horseback riding tour, but when I arrived, they told me I wasn't allowed to ride. Instead of offering me a refund, they hid behind their "policy" and insisted the money was non-refundable because I booked in advance. On top of that, I had gotten a new card since the purchase, and the manager rudely demanded I show the old one -- which I obviously don't have anymore. The way they spoke to me felt dismissive and unprofessional, like they couldn't care less. Since it was my birthday, I tried to make the best of it and went ahead with an ATV ride that I had also booked. That turned into another nightmare. First, they had us pay twice -- claiming they refunded one payment (they didn't). Then, halfway through the ride, they kicked us off the ATVs for nothing more than laughing and having fun. Who does that to paying guests? On someone's birthday? This place is completely unorganized, greedy, and disrespectful. The staff, especially the manager, showed zero customer service skills. Instead of creating memories, they ruined my day and took my money. If you're thinking about booking here -- don't. There are so many other tours and companies in Puerto Rico that will actually respect you and give you the experience you paid for. Carabalí is absolutely not worth it. read more

I had an amazing beach horseback ride experience with Angel, Icheo and Eric at Carabali, making my first trip to Puerto Rico that much more memorable. Reeally enjoyed our stop at the beach club restaurant to experience all the delicious food and lovely cocktails they had to offer. Their horses are well trained, but stopped quite often to feed on grass and plant leaves on the trail. The guides made sure everyone was happy with his/her experience and offered plenty of photos with our cell phones. The only issue I had was that the group was way too large, which caused the tour to run closer to 3.5 hours than 2.5 hours. For anyone visiting Puerto Rico, Carabali rainforest park is a must visit as it is a 45 minute to an hour drive from San Juan. read more

Carabalí is beautifully settled in a great spot of the rainforest but the visit was boring. If you are looking for fun, this isn't my recommendation. If you're looking to just cruise and view, this is your spot. We did the horseback riding, ATV, and UTV riding. The staff are amazing!! Tour guides are very engaged and friendly. Overall you'll enjoy the experience but it's not the most fun. I'll admit, we may have set our expectations too high or aligned with our great experience in Cancun. This adventure was fun! We did the atv. It wasn't the thrill of the ride but more the location. It's not extreme and it is more beginners course but it was still nice. Luis, our guide was great painting our faces and telling us the history. The pit stop to cool off in the river and to get snacks was thoughtful with the hot weather.
