There are 2 teachers for 14 pre K children and maybe 3 teachers for all the total program. With too many kids, my child experienced bullying by both pre K students and older students. There will hitting, name calling and pushing that happened. The staff didn't do anything about it, write up a report or inform me this was going on. My kid told me everyday that boys were hitting him and calling him names :( The expectation is the children sit and color or sit and do a project for most of the afternoon. This is fine if a child is older but very hard for younger kids. Instead of thinking of creative ways to work with the younger children, they just kept telling my child to "sit" and that "my child should listen to them". The staff all have art backgrounds, no necessarily childcare backgrounds. They are teaching the pre K kids about "imagination". My child now tell me that "I don't like imagination". Between there being too many kids, the bullying, and the sitting, my child kept escaping. The teachers weren't paying attention and had trouble finding him and another kid. They had both either hid in the bathroom or left the building. This happened 3 times in 3 weeks (that I was told about) and probably more. Needless to say after a month we have pulled our child from the program. I would not recommend this program for younger kids. Wait until they are older, show interest in art and can defend themselves.

She sang about eight songs using a range of instruments (ukelele, drums, jingle Bells, maraccas) and her CD player. This is a high quality, donation-based class for newborns to five year olds, offered most Saturday mornings during the year. I'm so glad it's in my neighbourhood. Highly recommended! There's also a movement class for toddlers (2 to 5 year olds).

During that time, he would take up the whole day whereas everyone else completed their assessments within 4 hours. Fortunately, my mother and I found Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep on Thumbstack. Chris was very quick at responding back to my emails. Within a few days, he introduced us to India. She served as my younger brother's tutor for a month up until the day before the actual STAAR reading test. Within the first meeting, she assessed my brother and determined how many hours per week he required to gain maximum help. During the tutoring sessions, she tried her very best to make it fun and interactive for my brother to learn new reading and writing skills. She also communicated with the teacher in order to accommodate her lessons with his reading performance in school. Within the third week, he successfully answered 27 out of 38 questions correctly during another mock STAAR reading test. While going over his exam, I noticed all the analytical notes my brother took alongside each reading passage. He then proceeded to tell me how they greatly helped him answer the more difficult questions. Overall, there were several aspects that I greatly liked about Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep: 1. Chris informed my mother and I about the financial matters behind their services prior to the first session with India 2. India always informed me whenever she was running late and always made up by staying in a few minutes extra 3. Compared to the more expensive tutoring services in Houston, their prices made it easier for my mother to afford additional tutoring sessions with India 4. My mother and I found it very convenient that they offer at-home tutoring sessions. India provided consistent tutoring sessions that worked well around our schedules 5. India usually supplied additional homework that further helped my brother gain reading tactics necessary to pass the STAAR test 6. Everyone from Planting Seeds Tutoring & Test Prep are very professional and courteous. Even though we are not currently utilizing their services, they are more than willing to help out my brother during the remainder of the school year and beyond! Most are cold, clinical places with nothing to stare out the window at (while trying desperately to escape mentally) besides a parking lot, if even there are windows. Region 13 is definitely not one of those. Nestled in a greenbelt off 51st St and Springdale Rd, the campus is lovely. When you walk in the large foyer, your mind full of dread at spending your precious summer hours here, you are greeted by a staffer who kindly directs you to your meeting room. If you're lucky, it'll be one of the rooms on the 2nd floor with windows overlooking the greenbelt. Each area of classrooms has a lobby, which has a coffee bar, which is constantly being freshened as the day goes on. The furniture is comfortable (a huge deal when you're basically sitting upon your arse all day), and the staff goes out of it's way to make sure everyone has all props needed to make each workshop successful. There's a cafe in an adjoining building, which is just "meh," but it ain't bad, in case you don't have time to pop over to Manor Rd for lunch. All in all, a pleasant place to have to be.

If Dr Lauren Molina is referred to provide services for your child immediately demand that a competent, unbiased provider be assigned.

My review is concerning the admissions office. I had an advisement appt. for next semester. I have…read moreenrolled in the school, but not a program. I was told by an adviser to get a Transcript Eval bc I hold a bachelors degree from another university. So you walk in and every employee looks like they're in prison. There was no line bc it's a weird time, which was a plus. The first woman I spoke with, after explaining I needed a transcript evaluation, asked for my ID, which I'd left in the car. So I went out to retrieve it. Once I returned the same woman was not waiting on anyone, but didn't make eye contact so I waited. She knew what I needed but I guess didn't want to do it...? So her coworker calls me over and asks for my student ID#. Not my state ID, which I was just asked to retrieve; my student ID#. So then I had to look that up. He wasn't happy about that. Then he asked what I needed and I told him. He said they don't conduct Transcript Evaluations until you've taken a class. When asked why the adviser told me to get one he said he didn't know. I pressed a little more, asking if I could just file the paperwork to see what would happen, and he said no. So 2 things: 1. These people who work 20 feet away from each other are giving me conflicting information. Great way to start off with your students. 2. They won't evaluate your experience until you've taken courses. So if you don't know what is missing from your history, you're SOL. You just have to guess and hope that the course you chose is what you need. The 'advisors' won't 'advise' you until you've spent money. Also, to the person in the admissions office, Anthonee A., if you don't like your job, get a new one.

I have never felt so belittled, unimportant, and unheard by so many educational leaders, and it saddens me that their faculty does not care about its students or their futures. My first semester of college, I went out of state to Oklahoma State University. After my financials became a challenge, l decided to move back home to Austin and attend ACC for a few semesters, at least until I received my associates. The process of transferring from OSU to ACC was so difficult, no one was helping me, and each counselor I spoke to gave me different answers in terms of which credits would transfer and which ones wouldn't. The financial aid office was unclear on how their policies worked, and despite my multiple attempts to get answers, I still do not know where I stand in terms of financial aid. ACC is supposed to be the starting place for the future leaders of the world, and yet they do not aid their leaders in their educational journey. After talking to other ACC students, I realized that I was not the only one with this experience and I could not believe that a college, even if community based, could be so indifferent toward its students. I hope ACC gets its act together soon, but for now I cannot wait until I never have to step foot on the premises again.
