Not much new here, but they do carry a line of candles. Note 1: This is yet another Nashville shop that doesn't like visitors taking photos for some reason. I didn't know that at first until I found a small sign in the upstairs room. I did notice a sign at the front door on my way out but it was mostly hidden by the outdoor decorations. Seems like a loss of free advertising to not allow photos. Note 2: Although this address is not listed on the upcoming mass property auction (end of Oct '19), I heard on two occasions that the property was for sale and that the businesses were being forced to vacate soon. Fur coats and porkpie hats from a time when fur coats and porkpie hats were worn in earnest and not ironically. I visited Cherry Canary around Halloween season, and there were a lot of people stopping by to look for pieces for their costumes. I can see why -- much of their clothing would make excellent costumes. But I don't see why you couldn't wear a wool sailor suit any other time of the year. You just need some chutzpah. Like a good vintage store, the clothing racks are jam-packed with clothes, so it's a little overwhelming to go through everything. But that's a good thing -- it just means they have a lot of stuff and a big selection. Everything is displayed tastefully, and they have a section for men's clothes and one for women's. They have little dressing rooms for you to try on the clothes, too, but be aware that the lighting in the dressing rooms is very dim. They also have a little corner for knickknacks and accoutrements, such as vintage luggage, glassware and planters.

First off, the shop owner here is SO nice and helpful. I mentioned the decade I was shopping for and she pulled quite a few lovely pieces down for me. The merchandise here is in great shape and I feel like I bought so many treasures while I was there. I feel like this shop has something for everyone here. I scored some 1950s dresses, and 1940s dress, and even a 1930s peignoir. The prices vary, with older items usually being priced higher. However, I think the items are worth the price because they are basically one-of-a-kind at this point and are in solid shape.

This is a moderately large and orderly antique/collectible shop. There are some large items…read moredisplayed at the front (a baby grand piano and a number of old gas pumps), but otherwise, the shop is arranged in rows of booths. I was impressed that the booths were all well kept, not filled with junky stuff that someone would find at a flea market or garage sale. Well, maybe some of that stuff, but generally there was a better quality of items than I've seen at a lot of places. There seemed to be a fair amount of furniture and oil paintings. There were Coca-Cola and some Barbie items too. However, the number of pure antiques was relatively low. However, this makes me feel like you would get a good deal on your items if you had something to sell her though. If you like vintage, it's worth a stop in. We were wandering around Fountain Square and came upon this irresistible window and had to go in and check it out. I am so glad that I did. Like most Vintage shops there isn't much the bigger woman but the clothing accessories are such a treat to look at and enjoy. Places like this make me want to put on a play set in the past and go to town in this shop outfitting everyone. The clerk was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The displays in the store were very cool as well. We will definitely be back.
