Largely decor/dish type items here but there's also some odds and ends you could grab for your own projects, like 25¢ old keys. I usually come away from here with just one treasure because they do have vintage rather than thrift prices. For example today I got a tea light holder with 3 hanging glass baskets for $26. I think that's pretty fair in this economy though, especially for a small business as lovely as this one.

I was looking at the one measly (but spot-on) review of B-Squad and thinking, "B-Squad should not be a hidden gem. It's just a regular gem. I mean, it is kind of off the normal thrifting route, but it's totally worth writing about in the tune of The Little Mermaid song lyrics." This cute little shop in SoMi has a really eclectic selection that is a mix between newer things and real-deal vintage, plus records, a little decor, accessories, shoes, boots and some kids stuff. The store is kept up well, so there always seems to be some cool new thing in the window or racked up when I visit, which is not as often as I'd like. Anecdote from my recent visit: I went a couple of weeks ago and, while I browsed the merch, I eavesdropped on the clerk's convo with her friend. She was like, "OMG, you just have to come in and look at this bag.... Yeah, it's gorgeous! And It's probably not going to last very long because it's so cheap... and it's a FRYE!" Simultaneously as the word FRYE came out of the shop-girl's mouth, I saw the bag. I should say, I saw THE bag: a camel-colored, buttery leather backpack with vintage looks and modern functionality (laptop pouch!) for $40. I had to have it. After she hung up the phone, I sheepishly asked the clerk, "Is this the bag you were talking about? Because I'm a rude, rude person and was listening to your entire conversation." I braced myself to hear that her friend wanted it, but luckily, she replied with, "Yes! I'm in love with that thing... you should definitely buy it!" So, I just had to follow her advice, right? I even offered to write her friend a letter with my apologies for eavesdropping her out of an amazing leather bag... and my condolences, because she'll never see the wonder that is this bag. Girl, if you are reading this, I'm sorry... but I'm also not sorry at all.

So today, after hitting up the Alamo Flea market, we stopped back into Hill-Valley. I think Hill Valley, and automatically think of Back to the Future, but you'll have to ask Liz for meaning. Liz , the owner is outgoing and full of enthusiasm about her store which I can understand. It's great to hear what people are passionate about and great to see them putting their vision into reality. Store is full of a lot of great find and trips down memory lane. A lot of the items she had came from what her family already had. - old furniture -china -old watches - records -consignment -candy cigarettes -clothes -clocks And more... I never used to be into looking at old stuff, but J loves it and I'm learning to appreciate the nostalgia and quintessential essence of old things. Great find and a great way to spend an afternoon.

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC!…read more Trinkets, Jewelry, and Furniture! Oh my! Once again I found a cute little shop while out and about on my day off. I have been here twice now, and both times I have not left empty handed. My first time I left with $15 Nike Hightops that looked immaculate if they were not brand new. I also scored a button up flannel shirt (comfy as all get out!) for only $5... yes, FIVE BUCKS! On my second trip to Hill Valley Boutique I scored the most adorable Red Sunglasses for $12. The store is full of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered, but it's not overwhelming like some vintage/thrift stores you'll find. Not only that, but the atmosphere is so welcoming! There's music playing, the shop owner is adorable and sweet, and did I forget to mention there is a CAFE that is CONNECTED to the shop?!? Yep. This place is pretty neat-o. I'm excited to bring some friends to check out the shop and have a lunch at Hill-Valley Cafe nextdoor!

Loved all the unique pieces, could have bought more than my bust of Apollo, but I had to pack whatever I could in my suitcase haha. The bus was a little pricey at $50 but I love it and there were plenty of staff around if you needed help finding anything I did ask if they had any marble chess boards, they did not thankfully for me. It probably would've been another hundred lol fun time searching around!

They have an outside area with giant letters from signs, garden items and such. The main rooms upstairs are all kinds of random pieces of art, photos and supplies, dolls and more and downstairs they have even more stuff to check out. Jam packed, can be a bit overwhelming. It was my first time going and didn't really know what to expect but I'll for sure be back to grab some things for my scrapbooks & other art projects. I will say it's a bit crowded & very warm, they did have fans in the basement which was nice.
