In the review, I tried to explain the circumstances surrounding my experience. The lack of communication continued for a period of over four months, not merely a few weeks time. But I also hope that it was clear that I thoroughly enjoyed my photo session with her, and I think the end-product satisfied my expectations. Review sites like this provide a snap-shot of people's experiences over time so that consumers can make educated decisions about their purchases. In so doing, they can balance the excellent reviews against those which may be more critical. I in no way mean to tarnish Maria's reputation, she is an excellent photographer. But I hope that by providing honest feedback, she can tailor her future services and future customers can have all of the facts in front of them when they choose to use her services.

Her pricing was also completely fair and less than a lot of the big companies I looked at. Usually, I cannot stand pictures of myself. With Lisa, I have beautiful pictures that I love. My bridal portraits were AMAZING. Did I mention, I've never liked pictures of myself, EVER, until Lisa? The wedding photos came out gorgeous, my entire family was so happy. She captured such candid pictures of family and friends and she is wonderful at getting people together quickly and in flattering positions. In the moments right after the ceremony, you have literally 30 minutes to get pictures of the wedding party. We had an enormous wedding party, and Lisa was fast and friendly getting everyone to organize and pose. It's not easy, but she was a rockstar. More than anything, know that you're not getting a junior photographer at a big company. You're getting Lisa, and she's such a talent. Post-wedding, Lisa sent me all of my pictures on discs, copyright-released. She even touched up a lot of them, which she wasn't contracted to do. She's just that cool. (Sidenote: I'm a designer by trade, and she did great work on touch-ups - nothing was done incorrectly.) The discs were sent to me very quickly - they were waiting for me when I got back from the honeymoon. My family had such a wonderful experience, we will use Lisa again for future photography needs.

One of the wedding planning books I read suggested looking for photographers on ppa.com (Professional Photographer's of America), and that's how I came across Austin Imagery's website. I liked what I saw there, but for such an important occasion, I wanted to make sure I did my due diligence before making a final decision, and boy did I! Here is the breakdown of my evaluation: 1. Photography Style: Following the advice of a friend (who wasn't very satisfied with her wedding photos), I asked to see 3 full albums to get a good sense of their photography style. I'm not into special tinting or "artistic" angles. My goal was to be able to look at my wedding album years from now and feel like the photos were timeless. Chris & Yvonne deliver a beautiful, classic style! They captured gorgeous images of the decor, and more importantly, my friends and family members all looked fantastic! 2. Rapport: Following the advice of another friend, I also had my sister (who is local to Austin) and her family meet Chris & Yvonne. It was important to me that my family get along well with both of them, because I think people's moods really show through in photographs. Needless to say, everyone got along great. I can't stress enough how fantastic Chris & Yvonne are to work with. Even my tough-to-please mother loved them both! 3. Customer Service: Chris & Yvonne were always very prompt with their responses and very accommodating throughout. When things got really hectic with my schedule in those last few weeks before the wedding, they were also proactive in reaching out to make sure all of the final details were set. They were also very timely with the delivery of the photos, which were available online well within the estimated time frame they had provided me.
