I entrusted my knives, to this mobil company, but unfortunately my knives were completely ruined. Danny shaved at least 1/8 of an inch from all of my knives, and also managed to break two of my meat cleavers. I am beyond angry and disappointed. The lack of skills in sharpening knives is evident, and it is unacceptable for someone in your profession to deliver such poor results. I felt so well cared for and was excited to meet him when I went to collect my knives. Later I took a class he hosted in Brooklyn and it was an incredible fun, informational and in depth lesson. The one on one time really made me feel like I was getting to learn and he took a lot of care in critiquing my form and giving me pointers on how to sharpen better. I also had a little paring knife, which I had dropped several months back and the tip broke off so that was going to get repaired and sharpened. As it explained on the website it there are various drop off points, but it is easiest for me just to go directly to his home location in Paramus. I pulled up and handed over my knives. The next morning, my knives were ready for pick up. I got a fair warning to be very careful as they would be extremely sharp and many don't realize until it's too late. I was so excited to use my knives that I immediately took out a tomato which I had not been able to slice without lots of pressure and a mess for a long time. I couldn't believe the ease of slicing through. I didn't have to apply any pressure and had a beautiful sliced piece. I did end up with a tiny cut on my thumb, even after Enrico's thoughtful warning, but it was so worth it to have these amazing sharp knives. Also for reference he charges by the length of the knife so for my two knives and the tip being repaired, it was only $14.50. Well worth it. Highly highly recommend.
