I've been there a couple times and every time I Felt ignored when I walked in and when I asked for help they made me feel like I was interrupting their conversation (kind of like the big box stores) Very Rude!! I will not be returning I'd rather give my business to local vender's. read more

Staff not helpful.I couldn't download coupon from their slow website,they wouldn't use their printed coupon.They told me there wasn't one.NOT true,I went to to larger store and a very helpful employee used the paper coupons they keep at register. Wont be going back there ,service has never been good. read more

Smallish and out of the way. Service was okay but not great. Selection very limited compared to stores in the Pittsburgh area. Parking off street adequate. But really out of the way. read more

History

Established in 1933.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates more than 600 Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The agency was created by state law on Nov. 29, 1933, at the end of Prohibition. Pennsylvania is one of 17 states and two Maryland counties in the U.S. that controls the sale of alcohol. The agency is governed by a three-person Board whose members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by two-thirds of the state Senate. In addition, the PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits - totaling more than $15 billion since the agency's inception - are returned to Pennsylvania's General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania's schools, health and human services programs, and law enforcement, among other important public services.
