Thanks to Classpass, I've been able to take Pole classes here and I've loved it ever since. Shout out to Ruby and Champaigne! Their encouragement and support has made me fall in love with the sport and has actually made me want to continue. Ruby is so sweet and patient. She always makes me feel so inspired after class and I feel like I'm always learning new things. Champaigne is also super skilled and I love her spunk! She will definitely push and challenge you. I trust you will have an amazing class with either instructor. I do want to warn you, the area does feel a little unsafe so when you park, please be careful. I've been coming here for half a year though and nothing has ever happened to me so I'm sure it's fine but it does feel a little scary. read more

Been going to pole classes here for the past three weeks and I've been having fun! I've only taken classes by Ruby but I am definitely gonna try others. I'm a beginner at pole and I don't have much upper body strength so I'm glad ruby is patient with my weak arms. It's a great and affordable class and they have a lot of poles and decent parking. I won't mark it down a grade but the class can look a little cluttered with Pilates machines and aerial yoga stuff hanging around. read more

I bought a 3 class package for pole dancing through Groupon and I had SO MUCH FUN. Josh is a wonderful instructor with an encouraging attitude and is overall just such a lovely person to interact with and learn from. I've taken a few pole fitness classes in the past elsewhere and Josh was able to assess my experience level and show me new moves and tricks that were challenging but definitely attainable. For those of you who have never touched a pole before, Josh can absolutely teach you from the ground up so don't feel intimidated! After taking two hours with him back to back (I was fortunate enough to have been the only student that evening so GOTTA TAKE ADVANTAGE) I was EXHAUSTED but so so happy to be back on the pole and very much inspired to continue with my pole journey! #poleaddiction Josh teaches two 60 minute classes on Monday evenings from 8PM-10PM. I haven't taken classes with the other pole instructors at this studio but I imagine they are all just as amazing :) The surrounding area where the studio is located is not the safest and there are often sketchy characters roaming the parking lot at night. After class was over Josh insisted on walking me out to my car which was incredibly considerate of him. I've also taken a few aerial yoga classes with Michelle and Mabel through ClassPass (pole classes are currently not available through ClassPass) and I had a great time swinging around on the aerial hammocks with them as well! I wouldn't recommend aerial yoga for those who get motion sickness easily but otherwise its a great way to get out of your comfort zone and try something a little different to spice up your workout routine. I'd give this place 3.5 stars. I came here once for aerial yoga and thought the class was way too big. I mean you have to hand it to them, they really have their business model down. There were over 30 people in the class and even though we all fit, and everyone had a hammock to use, I mainly took umbrage with how the instructor was teaching the class. Because there were so many students in the class, many of whom were new to aerial and needed a lot of attention, she barely had any time to demonstrate the next move. We only learned a handful of moves because she had to keep stopping and correcting other students. I'd be fine with this, but it's definitely not much of a yoga flow. To be fair, I do not know too much about aerial yoga and have only attended this class. I just know about yoga and aerial hammock/other aerial-type classes, and this did not feel like a yoga class. The instructor even split the class up into two different levels, which she definitely did not have time to do. I think they would do better by their customers if they taught the different levels in two separate classes. I'm not sure if this is still the case since I haven't been back here since I tried it over a year ago. This place is still great for people who'd like to try aerial yoga but probably not a place I'd go regularly. read more

I've been missing aerial yoga so much so when I saw the groupon deal for 3 classes I was super excited! My first class, I got Stephanie as an instructor. She was greet! She was very kind and patient and she made sure each of us were doing the poses correctly. It was challenging but still enjoyable! I liked that she pushed our limits but also brought it back to just fun. It's such a great workout for anyone wondering to try or not. Hard but super fun! Does not feel like so much of a workout when you're having fun ;) If it's your first time, it will hurt! My thighs were pinched and I definitely felt sore the next day. Aerial yoga uses a lot of upper body strength and core, so be prepared! Sounds a bit scary but you will have fun and look graceful :) I think it's challenging no matter the skill level. I've taken Mabel's classes a few times since she was subbing a lot and Michelle's class once. Both are great. Mabel will gladly show you more advanced moves if you're interested. Michelle is great with beginners and does quite a bit of core exercises (def. felt those, haha!) I recommend not coming to class on an empty stomach as you will be upside down a lot and will likely feel nauseous/light headed if you didn't eat. At least have an energy/granola bar! I've been meaning to try aerial yoga for a while now. When I saw this on Groupon and realized how close it was, I grabbed a friend and jumped on it. When I arrived for my first class, I actually drove past the studio. The pole sign had a different yoga studio name (Revelation Yoga? ) and the actual studio doesn't have signage up top. It just has "fine yoga" on the window. There's free parking available in the shared lot, but it's a bit cramped right by the studio. Might be better to venture further into the plaza. I've only been to the Wednesday morning aerial yoga classes, so my class size was never more than 5 students. I was told the other classes are way more busy. I had 2 different instructors, Michelle and Mabel. I enjoyed both their classes. They were very welcoming and made sure to help me since I was a total beginner. Both instructors were hands-on to make sure I didn't hurt myself with terrible posture. Again though, my classes had 5 students max. I came into the studio thinking it would be 75% play/25% exercise. I was wrong. There's definitely a lot of muscles getting worked. Right after my first class, my arms were so sore. Later that night, it spread to my legs. The next day, my abs hurt. I couldn't laugh without it aching. Someone else's review mentioned that the class felt like an informal family playing together. I definitely got that vibe too, but I was welcomed into it even though I don't speak Chinese. Not once did I feel excluded. Now that my class pack is over, I'm definitely interested in returning at some point for more aerial yoga. I only hesitate because of the prices and the limited class offerings. read more

I was convinced to try aerial yoga and Fine Yoga was the studio. After much confusion, I realized I had to sign up for a free ClassPass trial and since I didn't, I shelled out $18 for their aerial yoga class. The instructor is great. I want to give her, personally, 5 stars. She's patient, encouraging and can tell when you've got a lot to work on. The class itself was weird. The positioning of the instructor made it difficult to see what she was doing - I had to continually peer out of my hammock to see what pose she was in and for a beginner, I felt like I was really out of my league here. Having said that, I do think aerial yoga will give you a great workout. My arms were sore the next day because I'm totally out of shape but I don't think this type of "exercise" is for me. The studio is small and in a plaza where there were random seemingly drunk or about to be drunk men walking around which put me on edge. Also, a lot of the students seemed to be friendly with the instructor so they were casually chatting in Mandarin to each other - not a bad thing, but just a bit distracting. read more

I took several classes of aerial yoga and really enjoyed the concept and Michelle as a person. It is a very good workout and stretch. I ended up not coming back because its a bit of a distance for me plus the price point is a bit high after the Groupon is used. Here are the only things that I would offer as suggestions that may need improvement. -The Sunday AM class follows a kids class. There were two times when kids were present for our aerial class and they made significant noise despite their mother telling them to be quiet. That's quite distracting. -The set up of the class is such that sometimes I did not see what Michelle was doing/instructing because I was facing the opposite direction. I had to twist around in the hammock and peer over. I went to a different aerial yoga studio where we assembled in a circle which worked way better. -Michelle's clientele is predominately Asian and I am assuming they either speak Mandarin or Chinese only so Michelle teaches the classes in both languages (English and whatever the 2nd language is) at the same time. I don't really mind but my friend who took the class did not enjoy it. -The booking system was weird and I didn't know how to reserve a spot in the class. I am thinking this has been resolved since. -Last, the parking lot is sketchy. There are a lot of homeless people in that area and they hang out in the lot. I made sure to park my car in a space that was visible through the windows and never left anything on the seats. Overall, aerial yoga is great. I enjoyed pushing myself despite sometimes getting really nauseous and holding positions that were extremely uncomfortable. I am glad Michelle took a chance on this business and I wish her lots of luck!. read more

i really like fine yoga. michelle taught the aerial classes that i took. i bought a 3 class pass from groupon. i thought, its fairly close, why not! it was my 2nd time ever trying aerial yoga so i was pretty intimidated by the regulars at this class that were already spinning around in the silks without any fear. michelle was welcoming and comes around during the class for students who are struggling to get into the right position. the first class was GREAT, i got a workout in and felt sore for a couple days. the second class was bad news bears. i got super nauseous from the swinging and had to sit out a couple positions. michelle came by with an oil for me to sniff and surprisingly, it took away the nausea! this girl is prepared!! i was super appreciative of her help. third class went great again, no nausea that time! praise the Lord!! overall, i really enjoyed my time at fine yoga. i haven't gone back yet because 1. i fear the nausea 2. the class time isn't that convenient for me and 3. i think the class is a little expensive. i definitely have to think about it before i make a class pack commitment. parking is super easy. please be aware this is a very asian class (surprisingly, to me). i felt like i was with my mom and her friends. i think, if it wasn't for me, the class wouldve been taught in mandarin, eep! sorry guys! read more

I found this studio through Groupon. Took my first class at the end of last year and have been hooked since. It was difficult in the first few classes to get used to hanging upside down and building hand strength. But it's been extremely satisfying and fun to get through the poses and swing around. There are three instructors with Michelle teaching the majority of the classes. Weekday classes tend to be small. My first class on a Monday morning felt like a semi-private lesson. Weekend classes can be packed. For those, be sure to reserve ahead on the MindBody site or there might not be a hammock available. All the instructors are great. Patient and offering hands-on instruction/correction, especially to those that were flipping upside down for the first time. read more

Just attended my second class here...half of the students rolled in late, disrupting class. The owner and yogi does not know left from right, rendering her already horrible queuing useless. I had to ask her three times to take her hands off me, none of which would have been necessary had she simply offered the customary courtesy of asking first before offering adjustments. Further, nearly the entire 60 minutes was spent in plank, downward dog or cobra - a bit of variety and fuller coverage is encouraged. Disappointed that I invested in an unlimited membership, and won't be bringing the four women from work I had told about the studio. read more

My wife goes to this place for yoga, and she loves it there. Michelle is the owner and Yoga instructor. She's very knowledgeable and sweet. Also very patient with the students. After one class, my wife was hooked, so she bought the 30 sessions package. This place also teaches a variety of exercises besides Yoga. Definitely try this place out if you want to start yoga. read more

I arrived to ask about a schedule. I've tried aerial yoga at other facilities and figured this location was nearby. I walked in to the studio and not even a hello for 15 minutes. No schedules were visible and the whole time I sat there, there were noisy children yelling. Doesn't seem like a meditative experience to me. read more

Update to my review to comment on the business owners reply: First of all, I find it is extremely unprofessional to mention the other student's names that were taking the class with me. It is not necessary at all. Second, I did not have a misunderstanding with the instructor. Third, Michelle definitely should have informed me that students who were familiarized with the steps were going to help us. I paid for that class to receive help from the instructor, not other students. Yes, I said Michelle raised her voice and discouraged me. You mentioned that she DID NOT do so. Her tone was different. Not the soft, gentle voice you hear from yoga instructors. Even if I did not clearly hear her voice, she should have NOT raised it. Rather, she could have approached me afterward or have her 'more experienced students' help me out instead. Finally, you stated that I did not glance at you after the class. I definitely did. I said thank you for the class and left. You also asked if I felt nauseous, which was very thoughtful of you, Michelle. Overall, thank you for the experience and your new offer, but I will be politely declining the free class. ANOTHER UPDATE: Michelle, the instructor commented on another yelpers review who said I misunderstood the whole thing. NOPE, not a misunderstanding at all. She said she tried to contact me a couple of times. I did not receive any call whatsoever, and can provide proof. No voicemail, no four calls that she talked about. Another thing, her reply to that yelpers comment seemed very passive aggressive. She mentioned she was going at a slow pace which another new student could understand, but my friend and I COULD NOT. Why do you need to point us out? Every person learns at a different pace. Especially when an individual is not familiar with the steps, its an instructors job to guide them slowly and patiently. Finally, the yelper said the instructor said 'Don't be lazy'. The instructor denied this in her reply and said it was a misunderstanding. Since the business owner keeps talking about surveillance in the studio, why don't you go back and hear the ACTUAL words spoken to the students? I remember hearing it and actually being disgusted by that remark. Also, if you plan on contacting me, make sure you are contacting the correct phone number. Michelle is great, she tries to correct everyone as much as she could around the room. I came out sweated, sore and exercised. Took the beginner Ariel yoga class, it was so much fun. I don't do yoga at all but I was still able to follow along, some of the Ariel moves are scary for me, especially the ones where you have to go upside down. It was a good workout and really fun. This review is long overdue!!! So I started with a Groupon 3 classes for pole dancing! Never have tried it yet always super interested! I didn't know what to expect but talked to Michelle on the phone and she was so so helpful! She was able to book the class for me and get me all set up. I get to the studio which is super clean and well maintained! There are 5 poles which is nice because you don't feel so overwhelmed by the magic that is about to happen! I meet my teacher Josh, who I can't say enough good things about! He is an amazing teacher and will push you to make you better which I love! He is able to alter movements depending on where you are at and will taylor moves just for you! He is so encouraging in all ways and let's you really blossom! He will first demonstrate as many times as you need and always is willing to help! I adore this class because of him and all of his efforts! The main reason why I come back is due to him and his efforts!!! I loved the classes so much I purchased after a 30 class pass and it is one of the best investment that I have made! read more
