Had 4 wisdom teeth removed for the first time! I've been needing to get this procedure done since I was 18 but held off on it till I was 22. Not only was I scared but other places had me wait for months. Surprisingly this clinic was able to get me an appointment the same month they examined my teeth! Exactly a week from getting my approved call! If I knew how easy and painless this procedure was, I would've done it ages ago! I even had horizontal impactions. Because of this I had to be fully sedated. Super fast and comfortable. Alll I remember is laying down, and waking up and it was all finished! I love that they stitched up the sockets further decreasing the chances of me getting dry socket as well! They answered all my questions and provided me with all the medications I need for a speedy recovery! Today is day 2! She was amazing and her staff was sweet and professional. Yesterday I had two teeth extracted and I have severe anxiety. They really cared about how I felt and made sure I was comfortable. The procedure was quick and then I was about ready to go. I accidentally left without letting them know so had to go back (oops on my part). But yes they sent me Across the street for my prescriptions and I was on my way. Such a wonderful experience. I wish they did root canals as well cause I rather have her do the procedure. The dental work itself went fine. However, before the work was done I asked was there any other charges and they said no. I received a bill in the mail saying I owe $355. I called and explained that they told me there would be no more charges. Had I known I wouldn't have had the work done. Of course I signed the document saying I would pay for charges not covered by insurance. They should tell you what that cost would be so I can decide if I want to take on that debt or not. I tried talking to them multiple times but they wouldn't drop the debt. They sold the debt. The debt collector took me to court and all because they refuse to disclose the cost of their services or even the possibility of charges that could occur. read more

absolutely horrible, starting of with the front desk. i walked in and waiting 10 minutes before she acknowledged me, i understand having to wait but looking up at me rudely and then tossing a clipboard on the counter with no context is not okay. the environment itself just gives you a horrible vibe there's no other patients in there (for obvious reasons) the staff couldn't get the x-ray machine to work and it was humid. After going for my consult i decided i would not let these people take out my wisdom teeth. If i felt uneasy during a consult thats a clear red flag to not get an oral surgery. Needless to say they have called me 3-4 times each week for the last couple weeks harassing me to get my surgery and if i want to schedule. Let me start by saying this is the only review I have ever done on yelp. That is how compelled I am to tell you my story. What a horrible experience from the front desk to the quacks that are suppose to take care of you. Dr rudegold /Finegold with her tiny hands man handles you as if she was a MMA fighter. She obviously did not apply enough numbing medication because I involuntarily jumped up in pain. She screamed at me "I can not work like this under these conditions" then paced the room like a caged wild animal as if she needed to decide on fight or flight then continued to threaten to put me under if this was to continue. With my mouth ajar stuffed with tools and a tooth partially removed I submitted and tried to apologize droolingly as well as I could from my vulnerable position. Needless to say we did not continue with the other tooth extraction and was told to come back at a latter date for the remainder work. I was sent off with a prescription of ibuprofen. Well when I tried to call back to tell them I would not be coming in for the rest of the work Dr swan or Quan (from here on out we will refer to him as twedell-dee) chimmed in that they recommend that I should go else where for the work. When I forgot to give the prefix of respect to her he felt the need to condescendingly remind me she was to be referred to as "doctor Finegold"and continued to not give me a clear reason as to why they were no longer going to finish what they started. Given my insurance and the time it took for me to get approved at this specific location to change doctors mid stream would be a major inconvenience. But of course what would Anyone expect from an office of rude jackasses from the front desk to the two quacks I had the unfortunate privilege to deal with. Good luck tweddle dee and tweedle dumb with your so called practice you will leave a wake of unhappy patients with a increased phobia of dentists. given our hard times you would think maybe just maybe to show more then normal compassion at these trying times would make for a better doctor patient relationship. Definitely not recommend, the receptionist is so rude and not aware of her duties. I went in cause I was in a lot of pain and called them got a appointment and they told me they accepted medical but as soon as I went in they did not accept my dental insurance and had all these issues with my insurance even after I talked to my insurance and solved the issue and was constantly communicating with the front desk girl to see what was the issue and she would not talk to my insurance, onces I decided to give up after 3 hours of being there she all of sudden wanted to talk to medical insurance to help figure out. Worst PLACE EVER! Do not go here for teeth extraction, DR. Quan is the worst. My fiancé was asking a lot of question about the surgery and that he was nervous and Dr, Quan did not say anything at all, he just ignored him. Prescription was filled out the wrong pharmacy, I called on behalf of my fiancé. Dr. Quan flat out said "What do you want, I am in middle of a procedure" and I said if he was in middle of procedure can you connect me to his office assistants to switch to the other pharmacy because I am taking care of someone he just did surgery on. He snapped back with "The office is very busy, I did my job already, don't be rude" and hung up. It was so bad I had to have my mother in law call so I can get the prescription switch to the right pharmacy. Another Surgery office called us and the lady we were talking to was incredibly nice. She said this isn't the first time Dr. Quan was like this. Very traumatizing experience for my fiancé. read more

Was sent here by my dentist for an extraction. It was the first time I'd ever had a tooth pulled and I was very nervous. Bedside manner was not great. It seems like a high volume business, cranking through a lot of people quickly. The process was very fast and I had questions and had to quickly interject when she tried to leave the room. I was told everything would be on an information sheet, which turned out to be a tiny slip of paper that had a few tips. I cried on my way home because my mouth was bleeding so much and I had no idea if it was normal because I didn't get more than 30 seconds to ask questions. If I needed another extraction I would go somewhere else. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE. The nurses are extremely rude not helpful at all and I'm not going to lie one of them made me cry. I went in because I was in so much pain from my wisdom teeth and an old white lady attended me didn't explain to me what was going on with my teeth and just told me "make an appointment in the front" I asked for when and she responded "whenever you want" how the hell is that helpful theres more that she did I just wouldn't recommend this place the staff are so mean and rude for no reason at all it's best to go somewhere else. read more

the good part of the visit: dr Finegold was a very nice and quick to complete the procedure my mother needed. my mom felt that she was a little rough handed and cut up her lip in the process but overall it went very smooth. the 2 nurses that we met, a male and female, were very nice and attentive. the bad part of the visit: as soon as we walked in the lady at the counter didnt acknowledge us or even say hello. she had this look on her face (see pic) that seemed like she wanted nothing to do with you. finally when we were seen, she got so frustrated at repeating herself because my poor mom cant hear that well. she was just completely rude and she is whole reason why im only giving this place 3 stars. read more

I had the very best experience here for my wisdom tooth removal. I had to get my top two wisdom teeth removed today. I had my bottom wisdom teeth removed at Dr.Alzate's office in Fresno and even though that office is quite flashy it has nothing on the Deborah Finegold Inc office. The bed side manner here was far superior Dr. Mark Kuo saw how nervous I was and he reassured that I'd be fine. I am soo scared of needles and usually it's very hard to find a vein on me. He was able to give me a very painless experience when inserting it and I am very very thankful for that. After 2 mintues on the IV I fell right to sleep and didn't feel a thing. I woke up and everything was done. I went to get my medicine and then home and I thought that was done. I went home and took a nap and later on I got a call from Dr.Kuo who called to check up on me. This whole experience was way better then the last time I got my wisdom teeth removed. I cant recommend this office enough. read more

We just spent two years trying to get my fathers teeth taken care of. She finally told us that she won't do it because of him being a heart patient. Even though his cardiologist said he is a mild risk. She then claims it's because the hospital in Selma is not equipped to handle heart patients and is not willing to go to another hospital to do it. We then are told by her staff it's because my dad had a stroke, which he never had. Two years in pain and constant oral infections waiting on her, just to finally be rejected. 20 years and my entire family been going to her even when she was in her first year we used her and now this, we are never going back. read more

Dr.finnegold talks to you condescending. Her helper doesnt seem to know what she is doing, I was gagging and threatened to put me sleep if I didnt stop cause she couldn't work like this. Which I understood, but If your helper is not going to suction what did you expect me to do? It was not a gentle extraction I had anxiety the whole time. I would not recommend If you have any fear or anxiety of the dentist. I had to go back the same day to get re numbed on an open wound and stitches cause it was bleeding alot more then usual. :( she tried blaming me for taking ibuprofen for the excessive bleeding she wont take fault of any wrong doing I'm assuming to prevent a lawsuit. I got referral from my doctor due to my wisdom teeth growing on the bone, and she doesn't do such surgery. My appointment was 9:30 but I waited for 2.5 hours. I asked front desk ladies 3 times what's going on, and they ignore me and told me they will call me as soon as doctor has time, but there were at least 15 people in front me. They took walk-in before appointment, ridiculous, what's the point to make appointment, I could just walk in and faster. They didn't do start my extraction until 12. I was in the office for 3 hours, the procedure only took 15 min. The front desk ladies are rude and helpless. I understood they were busy but they should have basic courtesy and customer service. the office is clean and well maintained. other staffs were just ok but not very friendly. The doctor didn't spend time and explain things well. They just want to get the job done. It was painful when they try to numb my mouth, the bottom teeth were moved without feeling, but top teeth still could feel during the procedure. Their suction is not smooth as my family dentist. My dentist use plastic and round tip, but I can feel the sharper tip when they use section at this office. After extraction, my throat hurts for 3 days, I assumed irritation due to the suction tip. Also inside of my mouth, the tissue was damaged which cause lot pain due to the tools they used when they pulled my teeth. (not teeth infection, it's tissue damage on the side of mouth) It looked like you accidently bite your side of mouth while you chew on food. When my dentist removed one of my bad teeth, it healed in half day. I can eat dinner at same day. Now I haven't eat any solid food for 2 days, and my mouth hurts so bad. My teeth and gum are good because I can't feel the pain when I brush my teeth, but my mouth, the damaged tissue cause swelling and sour throat. Do not go to this office if you can find a better one. not recommended. BTW, my x-ray done 1 month ago, they supposed call me for ins approve. They never called. I have to call them many times. because their office house is 8:30-5 and they don't answer the phone at lunch time 12-1. They close on Sat & Sun. It's really hard to get hold on them when you work. I went in for a consultation on a wisdom tooth extraction on 06/05/18. I had my other 3 extracted over the last year from a different dentist and each time it took 4-6 weeks for an approval. So I get there, take a quick x-ray and the surgeon ( DR. FINEGOLD) says "Well we can take it out today if you want." So I pop my xanax, wait 15 minutes. They stick the needle in my mouth which is usually the most scary to me. They wait 5 more minutes, come back and, I kid you not it took maybe 20 seconds for them to take it out. HARDLY bled. The surgeon and dental assistant was extremely nice and supportive. The next day, I woke up forgetting I had a tooth pulled. A little discomfort in my jaw but the pain is nonexistent. I came here to have my wisdom teeth removed and right off the bat the lady at the front counter tells me that my insurance doesnt cover the x-ray need to start off. I say ok and shes asks if the $95 fee is ok? i find it a little funny at first because i have never been charged for a x-ray when going to any dental office. So i personally called my insurance carrier who stated that i was indeed 100% covered for any type of x-ray exam. Upon informing the lady at the front desk about the mix up she proceeds to say "we called yesterday and they said it was coverd, so it will be the $95" I was then asked consistantly by 2-3 different staff to come back and take my x-ray, and told by another that it WAS NOT coverd. I did not take it until i got confirmation from the lady up front that the x-ray was covered. I was then told by a lady in the back that i was covered after she looked at my file and asked who told me it wasnt covered. I laughed and said YOU and the lady up front just told me it wasnt covered! My driver for the day (becuase i was being put to sleep i needed a driver that day) told me that every person who walked into the office was told they needed the same x-ray for a $95 fee. I took the day off to have my 4 of my sons teeth pulled. I was referred by my kids dentist. I called to make the appt, It was 2 weeks out. I had the prescription from the orthodontist of what needed to be done. I was asked my about my ins , Nothing at that time was said about 4 week approval. I asked if he would be put to sleep, They said if that's what he wanted. Ok were all good to go. On appt day, they seemed confused with the ins and Dentist tells me I need to wait 4 weeks for approval. This should of been told to me up front so I wouldn't of wasted my time. When the dental assistant where I got the refer to come here said to find a diff place because so many people came back to say the staff was very rude, I should've listened. But like I said I'm very understanding and thought maybe they got someone who had a bad day(which life happens...) so I went here anyway. I even read the reviews and again....understanding. Well, I guess I should've listened. The front desk staff was SO rude. What pissed me off was that they were so rude to an older lady with her son. The prego chick was rude. I tried to be understanding since she is prego but she was just rude. Doc came in didn't even look at me, I tried to ask questions and kept with "yeah yeah, lots of people in the lobby"....well the consultation was with me not with everyone in the fucking lobby. He kept trying to rush me out. I sat in the chair about 2 min. I'm sure employees read this and are like "omg I remember her she was so...." I took my son to see Dr. Kuo last June and we had a very positive experience. Our apt was for 8:30 and we were out of there by 10:30. That was the first time Dr. Kuo ever saw my son so we had to do everything Xray, go over health Hx sign consents. Plus they all 4 were impacted and my son was sedated. Recovery time and all. The assistants walked me to my vehicle went over instructions and Dr. Kuo himself even stuck his head out the door and gave me a thumbs up saying good by. He is very professional to call that evening as well to check and see how he was doing. To say the least he did an excellent job my son only took is pain meds for a day or two and he had very slight swelling. I would highly recommend this office. read more

Got referred due to my mouth being too small to extract my wisdom teeth. I went for a consult, but they offered to do the procedure right then and there. I was pleased because of my schedule. At first I was worried about price, but the receptionist asked if I wanted anesthesia or not, if I didn't it would be cheaper. So of course I said that would be fine not to. I saw Dr. Kuo he was so kind, explained to me what was going to happen and always asked if I was doing well. Well to start off with, I got referred to Dr, Finegold, back in January. My son was needing to get his wisdom teeth pulled and because he is a diabetic we had to be referred to a oral surgeon who does work with Valley Childrens and it happens to be Dr. Finegold. We got in for a consult in January. The office staff said they had to get approval from insurance and get it scheduled with the hospital. Our insurance approved it in February. After some time, we got it scheduled for the end of July to make sure it didn't effect his school. Then two weeks before we got call confirming the date was still good. Now we get a call saying it has to be moved up a week, not a problem. Well, that all changed after agreeing to move it up and picking a date, the girl calls back says can't do that. So, now we agree on the other date we were given. Next we get a call back saying that they had to get an extension from the insurance. Let me remind you they moved it up from the original date, which means that it was sooner and our approval was still good. We called our own insurance and found out that approval was good through end of August. Now the girl says it was the hospital they had to get an extension from. Once again why extend something that was moved up, NOT BACK. The last straw was that the girl calls back says the hospital can't get us in till August and that is a possibility. Now we asked to speak to a manager, the girl says they don't have one, it is the dentist. of course dentist is not able to talk with us. My husband gets home finds out that he has to change his day off again. He gets upset and calls the dental office, talks to same girl and she tries to say the same. He gets to talking to her and telling her all the dates we have written down and she starts to realize that someone screwed up. Now she puts him on hold to talk to doctor. When she comes back she says the dentist was going to call and get my son in as soon as possible. He asked to speak to manager was put on hold again and after a couple minutes a different girl gets on phone and says office manager already gone. The whole point is that the people who work in this office don't have a clue on scheduling or customer service. After calling the hospital to complain, we were given another dentist name and are in the process of scheduling it with them. They told us when they get the insurance approval changed to them, that it will be within two weeks. AFTER ALL WE ALREADY WAITED 5 MONTHS. read more
