I was initially quoted $2.8k for the repair of a small piece of roof (50-60sqft) outside of our kitchen window. After I told the salesperson I wanted to discuss it with my husband, he returned with a new quote of $3.3k and claimed the original quote never existed. Since we already had water damage and needed the repair urgently because of the horrible CT winter, we felt pressured to move forward. But the repair also wasn't scheduled as quickly as promised. I had to make several calls to finally get someone to come out since the job was "too small" (yet they asked for three grand). Horrible sales experience. The technician, however, was excellent. When we experienced another small leak after the repair, he came back promptly and fixed it without hesitation. He was professional, responsive, and the only reason this review isn't zero star.

Cathy visited my property twice for discussion of options and pricing. She is very straight forward and no nonsense, and offered good suggestions. The door quoted was a Provia and although expensive, is the first thing visitors see when coming to our home. It was ultimately more than worth the money. Darek the master carpenter, came once to carefully measure the existing door, lights and woodwork. Ultimately we needed a custom size door built at the factory. His measurements were so accurate, the new door fit perfectly first try in the opening when stood up. Darek performed the removal and new install and is truly a talented professional. We felt lucky to have his skill, and although I'm not a carpenter, I could tell via his work he is excellent. The finished entryway to our home is now amazing and went from rotten to beautiful. Per Cathy's suggestion, I immediately had the surrounding millwork and wood work refinished and painted long before the door install. Again a sage suggestion and saves me money from not losing that to the elements. I highly recommend these professionals.

We called CORRIGAN and he took no responsibility but said he could redo it for $5000. We agreed reluctantly. It now exhibits substantial cracking and breaking pieces. It appears that CORRIGAN does not have any employees. Rather he seems to be a middle man, subcontracting any job he gets, while approximately doubling the subcontracting fee. This has value if he utilizes competent subcontractors. Unfortunately it was not the case in either instance. You can use Google to search for a contractor, close your eyes, point at the screen, and have a better chance of finding a competent contractor than by calling CORRIGAN. Even if you pointed at poor choice, you could repeat the process and find another contractor while likely spending less money than you paid CORRIGAN

We've had water intrusion issues ever since roof replaced by JulesPoirier Company in 2020. Jules…read moreand his Team did 3 follow up inspections, two times they attributed fault to other issues (gutters/chimney condition). Fair, we weren't looking to pin our issues on something beyond their control. We took that advice to heart and addressed those concerns with a chimney / flashing rebuild as well as twice annual gutter cleaning and now replacement to larger gutters. When the water intrusion issue continued Jules' team this time pointed blame to a 2nd story window and caulked the flashing/ J channel at the roof to siding transition below the point they suspected water was entering the home. When the water intrusion issue continued I decided to seek advice from other local companies which was an eye opening experience. Seemingly every siding to roof transition was installed incorrectly. Flashing / counter flashing done wrong. Nails through step flashing. Drip edge was also placed on top of ice and water shield (should be below). These issues now need to be addressed at an additional expense to us less than 4 years after our roof was replaced. The caulking they carelessly placed will also make the repairs more difficult. Unacceptable. Upon raising these findings to Jules - no response at all. That's fine, we would not want JulesPoirier Co doing any further work on our home, but the dancing around an issue of their creation is maddening. Their pricing (in 2020) was competitive with others we received, they were not the lowest bidder nor the highest, but the quality of work is severely lacking and their customer service has been equally poor. Roof replacements are a significant expense to homeowners, we hope you take this review into consideration before contracting with JulesPoirier Company.
