During the merger, they said that your transactions had to be processed by a certain date and time, because they were temporarily cutting off access to customer funds. I found this outrageous. I have been with other banks during mergers, and never had access to my funds suspended. Somehow, they botched the process and failed to pay my bills despite my request to pay out being 2 days before the deadline. I went into the Branford bank and had to fight them to get the insufficient funds charges reversed when my money couldn't be transferred to my various bill carriers. The North Haven branch, my closest local branch, could not explain how/why the error happened. Nor could the customer service number provide me with a solution. Also, the North Haven branch has terrible hours. They make it impossible for a working person to go into the bank. It's not just this branch that sucks; it's Liberty Bank in general. They have very limited hours for their customer service line as well. If anything goes wrong with your account, they wait until the end of the banking commission deadline to fix errors. Their fraud monitoring is non-existent, and if they make a mistake with your account, they lock you out of it until it's fixed. Yes, they cut off YOUR access to YOUR money for THEIR error! One time they gave me too much money when I made a withdrawal. I returned it immediately, and they acted like I did something wrong, and didn't even thank me.

My mother and I stopped into this Wells Fargo branch this afternoon to remove my father who has…read morerecently passed away from my mothers account. We had all required paperwork with us. There was one other person in the bank working with a teller. We explained what we needed and the teller directed us to a woman with longer brown hair wearing headphones sitting directly across from the front door. She then stood up to greet us and asked if we made an appointment. We indicated that we did not and she said you'll have to go home and go online and make an appointment. Again, the bank was completely empty. She proceeded to tell us how easy it was to go online and set this appointment And that the appointment would take at least an hour. I was immediately turned off by her smug, unhelpful attitude. A better step for this banker would've been to assist us in making an appointment or just helping us since there was no one else requiring her attention. My mother has been an account holder at this branch since 1982. I strongly advise my mother to close this account and go with a another bank that provides better service. God knows there's enough banks to pick from in North Haven. Prior to us stopping to Wells Fargo, we had just left Connex credit union without an appointment and everything was handled promptly and it only took 30 minutes. That included closing another account and signing up for a line of credit. I do not recommend giving this bank access to your money.

Well it was definitely longer than 7 business days so I walked into my local branch to find out what happened to my card. A lady told me nothing was ever in transit!! I pointed at the lady who "ordered" my debit card and they just said they have lost communication or some bullcrap!! Do you not communicate with your customers that no card was even issued??? They did not even seem very apologetic about it. She made me a new debit card right there but the no communicating is highly unprofessional and UNBELIEVABLE!! Those two women at the front need new training or a class on communication customer service skills!!!

I opened the letters to find out his account was overdrawn. The fees kept adding up. They charged 35 every time someone tried to take an automatic withdrawal out. the insurance company tried to take insurance out. They denied and charged me $35. They tried again and charged another $35. they tried a third time and Citizens approved it and charged me another fee. Is there something wrong here? I feel like this is a scam. I called the customer service phone and got a nice lady who was very understanding. She credited me one fee and said to go to the branch because they should be able to help. They should be able to drop most of the fees because my parents were there in excess of 20 years and had no bounced checks. I went to the North Haven branch this am. It was the next morning. I talked to the manager Cesar. Right off the back he didn't care what the situation was. He was rude and condescending. I told him the mail goes to my fathers house and he said well there is online. I don't have access to my dads online stuff. I told him that the lady yesterday told me that he should be able to help me. He said " She,s a customer service agent she doesn't anything". I thought wow now he is talking bad about his own company. He is really in customer service too. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the bank and he didn't care. He said to me well do you want a 35 dollar credit or not. I asked him to cancel the account and he said ok that's fine. I Cancelled the account and he again didn't care. This is the manager? My Dad had a home equity line with Citizens and we went to refinance it a couple years ago and they told him that he coudn't afford to refinance it but it went up from $700 to $1900 and they thought he could afford that. The lady gave him a credit card and signed me up for one with my info until I told her I didn't agree to this. I have been taken advantage of by Citizens Bank for the last time for the last time. I never even had an account besides this one from there and it wasn't mine. I urge you to try another bank before you get scammed too.
