A fellow rider on his way home from the track stopped and asked if we were okay. After explaining our current mechanical situation with my Dyna to the good samaritan, he suggested that I call Tim. I explained my situation to Tim and at first he couldn't find me a lever. He explained to me that a lever from a Honda quad has the same splining and that it should work to get me to Phoenix. He then calls me back a minute later and said that he had found one in the driveway of his pad and that he was on his way. My mind was blown, this guy didn't know me at all and he was going to bring me a part so that I could could continue on my journey. He shows up ten minutes later, slaps the lever on and tells me safe travels. I shake his hand, offer him cash and a double double from In and Out. He respectfully declines and sets off on his way. Really cool guy, I'm going to make an attempt to check out his shop on my way home to San Diego in a couple of days. Big 5 is a place where I would go for new sport items. They may not have the best brands but it's…read morenice to go try some items before you invest the big bucks into a sport or outdoor activity you may not like. We stopped at this Big 5 to get a UV protective shirt. I like to do water aerobics classes but do not want to have the sun exposure. Someone in class recommended Big 5 to find this shirt that could be worn in the water. Big 5 happens to be the only sporting good store in town and Costco doesn't have their summer products in yet. So we stopped. They didn't have a large selection of UV protective shirts but I found a Columbia that would work. Unfortunately, they only had a pink-mauve color in my size but it was at a good price. It will do the job and that's really what I wanted. We've also stopped here and bought golf balls and a glove just to get started. It lasted a decent amount of time until I could get a different one. The new and better brand doesn't look like it's going to last any longer than the cheaper one from Big 5 so I will probably return there the next time I need one!

Without having a truck to take it to a shop, I searched for a mobile service and found Doran. He drove out and picked up my bike after 9:00pm the other evening. I told him what happened and that I needed it looked over/serviced before I felt comfortable riding it again. He took it home with him and the next afternoon, he kindly dropped it off at my work, so I could enjoy an afternoon ride home. Doran took the time to go through all of the services he provided to my bike, as well as answering questions I had about general maintenance I could do between services. Doran is professional, extremely knowledgeable and patient. I greatly appreciate that he put my mind at ease to return to using my E-Bike as my daily commuter. Thank you, Doran! And if you find yourself in need of a mobile service please give him an opportunity to help you out and earn your business. You will not be disappointed!

I needed to find someone to fix my son's Talaria XXX because I hired someone off of airtasker who…read moreclaimed to know what he was doing and ended up ruining my son's e-bike he just got. It now showed an error00 and the bike wouldn't even go at this point. I had two different people who fixes e-bikes come try and diagnose and fix it, both were unsuccessful. I called everywhere and no one seemed to work on Talarias especially electrical. That's when I found Doran. I explained the situation and he came down in a few days from Temecula. He did a diagnostic and it was determined that it needed a new hall sensor, I'm guessing the previous guy plugged wires into different plugs and it just messed the entire bike up. Which I seen him doing, which is even more frustrating. Doran told me he would order the part and fix the bike and agreed to take the bike with him to Temecula and wouldn't charge me for the drop off back. It took about a month for the part to get delivered. Once it got delivered Doran said he would start working on it. It took about 2 weeks to finally get my son's bike back, but honestly he fixed the issue and my son and I were happy about that! We had almost no hope at that point because no one could figure it out besides Doran. He also installed my son's bombers suspension forks as well. Doran dropped off the eBike and also fixed my son's light (needed a switch to turn the light off and on) for us free of charge which was really nice! I would say he does do this alone, so you do need to do your due diligence and follow up a lot with him. And understand he has other e-bikes he's working on and also experiencing some health issues. He told me he is trying to get better at that part so I would say if you take your bike to him just make sure keep on top of following up. He eventually will get back to you. Everything did seem a little pricey, but he does a lot of special work so I get it. I am in the end grateful that Doran was able to fix my son's talaria. He is very smart and definitely has a passion for e-bikes.

Don't go here!…read more Owner of the gym really try's to make it seem like you're getting a grand deal with it being "24/7" with 3 locations (4th Street, Holtville, Imperial) but you need a key to open the door and it closes on Sundays from 3pm-11pm, lol. 4th Street and Holtville is $60.00, Imperial is $70.00 Their pricing is a bit confusing because new location supposedly if you have no card on file it's $80 month to month but if there's a card on file it's $70??? Their annual fee is $80. Then I also heard some people get special "prices" while others have to pay full... Cleanliness is bad. Other day I was in the restroom and they had a reused hand sanitizer bottle with watered down soap in it, like what? On 4th Street, upstairs restrooms have rings in the toilets, pretty disgusting. Then downstairs they'll have roaches inside and sh*t/pee stains in and on the toilets. In Holtville, the bathroom has a very strong fishy smell, sometimes it's pretty unbearable and it's stinks up the entire gym. I normally went to the Holtville location and all of us are annoyed that the treadmill, elliptical, and row machines don't work. Like they literally won't turn on. Seems they just put it there to get people to believe it works or something... Again we have to pay full price for stuff that doesn't even turn on. There's also a huge hole with mold in the roof and when the debris fell onto the floor, no staff was present to clean it. It always floods as well when storms come by in the Valley. 4th Street during the summer is horrible. It's so hot and humid for sure has to be a safety issue. There's also a broken window but instead of fixing it, they put Sheetrock over it? Then they put these wood frames over the mirrors which is so annoying because I can't even properly see myself in the mirror and it's been left like that for 3-4 months. For staff, there's literally no one. You would have to drive allllll the way to either 4th Street or Imperial to get in touch with someone. Equipment wise, all of its old. The bars in Holtville are really wobbly. Every time I try to do bench, it just feels like my wrist is gonna roll when I go down. Very unstable. Quality of the equipment literally looks like if it was made in the 50's-60's. The gym is a scam. I would highly recommend checking out other gyms in the Valley that aren't Solo Fitness to get a better bang for your buck. I don't think this gym is even worth coming for free in my honest opinion. Also to mention, when I canceled my membership, the owner turned into weirdo/creep mode. Like the Instagram page kept messaging me and when I finished out my month. He kept asking me questions and never left me alone throughout my last remaining days I had left. It was weird, uncomfortable, and annoying. Like your gym sucks, sorry bye. Before though, the owner would always pull me to the side and talk to me for like 30 minutes about all the "renovations" and "updates" he's gonna do. Which turned out he does it to everyone. I honestly think he does it to "reassure" people to prevent them of the idea of canceling and make it seem like "BIG" things are going to change but it's never gonna happen. Been going for like 7 years. Overall, gym sucks and needs to be reworked in all locations, not sure about the new location, never really went, but for Holtville and 4th Street. Gym is always dead and there's barely any people that go. The music is HORRENDOUS, they literally have like this same playlist EVERYTIME. Again, I recommend other gyms, don't go here.
