Went in to use there range and looked at a 365 macro was offered a small discount on a overpriced Gun I thought the store was selling the gun at a fair market price in good faith I pulled the trigger come to find out fairly quickly as soon as I left I was paying approximately 250 more and minus a small personal digital gun safe which I found called right away to try to work something out and basically told to pound sand I'm at fault for not doing my homework and paid the price for that was just hoping they would do the right thing since it was only hrs since the transaction was done would have been ok with some kind of help but nope nothing do not recommend this place times must be hard but I signed the agreement quote unquote smh read more

I came down to El Centro to see family, friends and shoot in the desert. I checked out Border Tactical (BT) before heading down and it seemed alright. Up here in San Diego there are tons of tactical stores so I was very surprised to hear about their great customer service. So I got to BT and it was two businesses in one location. I couldn't believe how big the store was plus they have a shooting range. I came in there to pick up an extra magazine so I didn't spend much time in there. I didn't know where the magazines were so I asked and the customer service guy was very very friendly. He spoke to me about some hollow points ammo for home defense and he was very knowledgeable. Also he was dressed to impress which is crazy rare where I'm from. I just bought my magazine for my .40 cal but also thought about what the guy was telling me . When I come back to El Centro I will definitely shop here again without a doubt. I wish there were tactical stores like BT in San Diego and I my even shoot at their range next time. read more

reasons I hate dealing with this place. the gun shop looks so sad, no guns. what they do have is way overpriced. I purchases a striped AR lower for $50 and these guys charged me $75 as their transfer fee, really? WTH. the other gun shop in town wanted $100 the imperial valley has a monopoly and it exploits it by gouging gun prices and services. they have no reloading supplies. no powder no primers no reloading machines I offered to buy their range brass and they refused, said they sold it in bulk as junk brass. DUDE I will give you more than $1.25 a pound. I asked if I could chrono some of my reloads there and they said, they do NOT allow reloads or anything beyond the shooting booth like the chronograph would have to be located. sorry boys not paying $40 for a box of 45acp ball when I got my own reloads to shoot. they are loosing so much business, if it were not for the local cops that shoot indoors they would have closed by now. I prefer to buy my guns in San Diego, but travel for me is a giant pain. so I will have to deal with these 2 gun shops as needed. read more

I was going to write a 2 page essay on how unprofessional this range is. But the more I think about it the angrier I get. So instead I will provide bullet points as to why this range is beyond abysmal. -the targets only have the top part so nothing secures the bottom portion of the cardboard. Therefore the targets flap in the wind. -given paper clips YES you read that right.. PAPER CLIPS!!!!! To secure my target. -I asked for some tape to secure the targets and they said no. Lol. Ok. Don't even get me started And finally, seeing as how this range was beyond subpar and unprofessional I decided to not shoot here. -They still tried to charge me 15 dollars and I didn't fire a single shot. Completely disappointed by the service and knowledge of CDCR uniforms. Just out to make a buck. A Class A shirt should have double stitches. Theirs don't. This place has an awesome range, that's why I'm giving them that second star. Problem is the store isn't as loaded as it use to be, this place use to sell everything. Now the empty shelves look depressing. Most importantly for anyone coming in make sure you bring CASH. Their credit card machine has been down for over at least a month now!!! Great local indoor shooting range. Perfect for a little fun during the summer heat! Don't forget they sale guns. Good prices and if they don't have what you want they can order it! Shop local ! Update..... Not sure what's going on but tried to purchase 2 guns.....they didn't have them in stock was promised 3 or 4 times they would locate them and call me. Well I never once got a call back. The first transfer went completely smooth with one employee but suddenly the others aren't able to accept emails to finalize a transfer? FFS, one of the employees was there to see the original transfer of the firearm to the person that sold it to me. What a complete joke. read more

Wow! I'm a 25 year retired Law Enforcement Officer. I've never seen such a dysfunctional LE retail shop. Unprofessional, lack of service and inventory. When the male service Rep was asked about pending stock would arrive he replied, " I need to place a order so it's going to take a while" How does it get to that point? Inventory control? Know your shop and customers. The retail shop can do so much better especially without any competition. Typical small town syndrome. read more

Bought one gun here about a year ago, and every thing was fine. Nice Glock (they're a glock dealer but have lots of stuff). I tried recently to purchase another gun and was given somewhat of a run around, which was very frustrating. this was at a time right after a high profile massacre and the fight to strip gun rights was intense. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for that reason other wise i would be rating a 2 star. I would be happy if they had just told me that they were having problems and were unsure but instead they kept telling me the gun i ordered should be in any day. It never did come in. No apologies. Waited almost 2 months before someone told me it ain't gonna happen. They are Very law enforcement friendly. They have 2 ranges with something like 10 lanes each. They have a good selection of guns to rent and you can shoot long arms, at least smaller caliber riffles. You do have to use their ammo with the rentals, which was a little pricey. they have a very knowledgeable staff (for the most part). If you want to get some good, more technical advice on the right firearm for you, talk to Oscar. read more

After wandering around El Centro for a few hours I realized that I needed to tac up if I was going to survive the night. Luckily I found Border Tactical, which fulfilled my tactical needs, wants, and desires. Ammo? Yep. Guns? You betcha. Indoor range with UBL Zombie Targets? Hells yea! Some gun stores treat you like they're doing you a favor by allowing you to enter their store. This is not the case with BT, the people there are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I'd recommend this store/range for a quick stop to get in a few reps with your gun. Reasonable range fees and not to mention that I could also spend a couple of hours at the attached uniform shop as well. I bought my first pistol from this place! Great experience, great service, and great range ! The lighting was more than good enough in my opinion . They supply with ear pro and eye pro with no extra charge when using the range. Targets are around $2 to $3. Range is $13. Can not ask for a better gun store ! read more
