I came early since I knew I was going to fill out a lot of paperwork, but was taken in to the exam room instantly. Sarah, the nurse was also very friendly while we went over my medical history. Dr Seager was also very caring and friendly. I was there for an hour and a half. Extremely pleased with my visit.

You guys set up the appointment. Are you telling me that the Dr couldn't have looked at my exam before I got there and chose the contacts prior to my appointment. My sister had taken off of work. What a waste of time! I go have my new glasses made because I am desperate. Costing me almost $700. I start getting really bad headaches. My primary care dr suggest I get my eyes checked again. There is no way I am going back to Winchester Eye Specialists. I head to LensCrafters Dr. Hong. Great man and Dr. the prescription Dr. Garringer gave me was so very wrong and I have to get new lenses costing me an additional $700. I am so mad because I then receive a bill from Winchester Eye Specialists saying what I paid them for the exam was not enough and they want an additional $100.00. Are you kidding me?????!!!!!! After they treated me so poorly, wasted my time and gave me the wrong prescription. I tried to reason with them explaining all the issues and how I felt I had given them enough money for such horrible service. They insisted the money was owed and that it would be sent to collections ruining my wonderful credit. I explained that I would shout it from the mountaintops how I feel cheated, bullied and would make sure everyone I know would never to go there and that is what I am doing. Trust me, for better cost and service go to Dr. Hong at the Apple Blossom Mall. He is excellent.

I ran out of my medication waiting for the approval, only to then learn that Dr. Fink doesn't do prior approvals. His office told me I could get a Good Rx card. The pharmacy advised the medication would cost $300 with the Good Rx card. Thankfully, my general practitioner provided the prior authorization and I was able to get the prescription for $30.

Charging for a prescription after an eye exam is in violation of the Federal Trade Commission which states after the eye exam the patient MUST be given an updated prescription FREE OF CHARGE upon leaving the premises. I discussed my concerns with the Doctor and he was very receptive and made me feel more comfortable with what he is doing to make the experience better for the patient. I have always had a good relationship with him as he takes his time with me in explaining what the plan is and the direction we are going. The office staff is pleasant and professional. The ladies who deal with the insurance and working with the different vendors have been fantastic in trying to take some of the burden off if their clientele. Even as a one man show he does not rush his interactions with the patients and makes every effort to stay on a timely schedule. But hey do want a attentive and thorough understanding and treatment or to be rushed out to collect a payment. I've always been told you get what you pay for and I believe I get top quality service and treatment. I believe my earlier review was out of frustration with some minor things at the time and does not reflect the true care I receive there. They truly care for their patients and it shows.

We have been to all of their offices in the local area and they are all terrible. Though this one is the absolute worst! They sent me a survey, which I happily filled out. I received a call by the manager after he read my complaints. He of course was new, so nothing was his fault and he recommended we give them another try. I did. I took my kid for his eye exam. While we were looking at glasses, there was a customer complaining loudly about their hidden charges. I heard the secretary yelling at a customer on the phone and the person we were dealing with was not pleasant either. My husband had received his new bifocals and kept telling them there was something wrong with his glasses. They kept checking them and saying they were fine. Finally he took them to My Eye Dr in Bristow and they have no idea how the Winchester people thought his glasses were right, they were so off! The optimologist called the manager of the store in Winchester and he got nasty with his own collleague . They would not fix their mistake but the one in Bristow is going to. They are eating the cost when our local place wouldn't. Needless to say, I am going to drive an hour from home to see my old eye dr because they are amazing and Winchesters My Eye Dr people are the worst!!!!!
