The in person classes are extremely stressful with maybe 10 full minutes of face to face time with a trainer. On top of that, there's about 12-15 reactive dogs in the same parking lot! It's almost impossible to hear direction and because there's so many dogs barking and the training can't really be adjusted to your dogs needs. We didn't have any issues with the trainers or advice given, just with the value of the class. We paid a lot of money to put ourselves and our dog in a VERY stressful environment. The cherry on top, is that at the end of the last in person session the trainer said "Now it's not good to have your reactive dog around other reactive dogs, so try to get them around calm dogs." WHAT? Then why would you have a class full of reactive dogs? This course was not worth our money. I would recommend one on one training for any reactive issues.

Katie is a very knowledgeable, friendly and effective trainer. She really is a natural teacher for both humans and dogs. She gave us very good advice and our pup learned and matured a ton. Katie was open to answering any questions and provided thorough and thoughtful responses. She did great with covid protocol, too. I've already signed up for the level 2 class and would highly recommend taking any class here. I've heard the other trainers are great, too. We had spent so much time together during that time I guess she became hyper vigilant with me. She would become aggressive with any dog that came within in 10 feet of me. Barking and pulling and standing very tall. It never happened when others walked her without me. I tried for two years to change her behavior, including two different trainers, with no real changes. 10 weeks ago Maisie and I went back to Kelly (she had trained Maisie before Covid and she had moved her facility to further away). Within 5 minutes she had it figured out and we started a very simple, but effective program. Within 2 weeks there was a major difference. Maisie was more relaxed, calmer and much less territorial. She travels back and forth to CA from NH every year and I need her to be calm in the airport and not look at other dogs. 6 weeks after we started with Kelly we had to fly back to CA. Maisie was amazing. She was perfect. At 10 weeks out, she saw a dog long before I did. She sat and looked right at me without any instruction from me. THANK YOU KELLY!!!!!!! Can't wait to get back to NH this spring and tune up her service dog training and do some agility! Thank you again!!

I walked in with my dog and saw crates stacked atleast 2 high and filled two rooms, a mud room and living room. There were a couple small dogs in a kitchen and a few more in crates around the dining room. My dog and I were frozen and overwhelmed. It was so loud I could not hear the husband and wife talking to me. There must have been about 25 dogs in the care of the two older couple that live there. The home was smelly and terrifying. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Nikki's Kinetic K9 Training.
