Fish & Chips. Everything was really good! Nice and crispy!

Good pub food and nice patio!! Their braised beef wrap was meh. You can get a free app if you sign up on their website. The email takes a bit to send - gmail is quick but hotmail takes over a day to receive.

I actually really enjoy coming to this pub in Heartland. Great service, and good food. I came on a Wednesday evening, not that busy but their Wed special was 1 piece fish & chips for $12!! which was what I got and enjoyed my meal. Def would come back again as this is one of my favs in Mississauga.

The food is fantastic. Really can't go wrong. I have been here a few times. Slowly making my way thru the menu. Lol. I have been pretty darn impressed so far. They just do it so well, covering typical pub must haves from fish and chips to French onion soup, and everything in between. In my opinion, they shine and set themselves apart by putting a twist on your staple dishes. Their Calamari and the signature blarney chips are my all-time favs. Great place with friends and or if you just want to catch the game. They always have something on. Big screens. Many screens. Best pub in Mississauga?!!! I think so!

It was loud. I would love to say more but I can't hear my own thoughts over the loudness that still echoes in my head. Not to be a party pooper but I came for a girls night of chit chat and drinks and good food. So this was way too loud for that. Looking for fun and drinks and don't care so much about catching up with your bestie? Then this would be good. Bathroom was a fail. Not clean, no soap. Not fun. Staff was almost friendly. Fish tacos - yum! I will give them a rave review. Perfectly prepared and so delicious. Dessert was also pretty great. Hmmm, maybe my experience wasn't as bad as I am remembering. I'm writing this after the fact and when I think back, my thoughts are fairly negative. But I think that was more about the experience and ambience. The food was clearly good. My bad for not realizing this isn't a place for girl talk?

Fish and chips 9.99$ Wednesday special

Went here on a Wednesday night and it got real busy since the last time I came here! As I entered, I smelled all the wonderful offerings they had, but I decided to go with the fish and chips special for $9.99 on Wednesday. It was a great deal!!! The fish was nice and crisp, it was a large portion which came with fries, coleslaw (which was really tasty) and dip for the fish. Also had the calamari as an appetizer. It wasn't anything special. I give this place a four stars because of their daily deals. They also seem to have more food offerings than when they first opened, or, perhaps maybe I just realized the variety of food offerings because the place was really busy and I was looking at all the food on the other tables and those being served. I'd come back. I'd try another entree.

    Pot pie anyone?

I visited this place today after a long day of work. I made it for happy hour which was nice as they have great drink specials. The food is pub fare and usually good. BUT I AM SO ANGRY ...NEVER has a server/bartender ever grabbed food away from me. Let me put things into context. I ordered the lamb burger with side Caesar salad and cup of soup ((I didn't eat all day). TO my surprise the Caesar salad came out very quickly and was brought to me by a different server. I was sitting at the bar and the bartender originally took my order. I was eating the salad and mid but the bartender had the audacity to GRAB the plate of salad from me basically yelling "THAT'S NOT FOR YOU" and hurried back to the kitchen. This was so embarrassing and the fact that NO-ONE has ever grabbed food I was completely SHOCKED to say the least. She came back and gave a sarcastic "I'm sorry" and went about her business. I would have left immediately but the others still had food coming. This service is appalling and to have your food grabbed from you is extremely disrespectful. For a restaurant this is unacceptable. If I coUld give this negative stars I would - terrible demeaning service. Watch out for this bartender - she is the WORST!!!

    Guiness steak and mushroom skillet

Ordered the Guiness Steak and Mushroom Skillet. It had mashed potatoes at the bottom, diced steak and mushroom with a thick gravy, roasted carrots, and fried leek. This dish was tasty, however, I found the mashed potato to be too dry and the carrots weren't really roasted. The portion size for this meal was bigger than I expected. I would order this again.

Decided to stop in because the service here was so good last time and we received an email for a free appetizer. What's better than free? I will tell you. Free app and a super friendly server (thank you Robin), delicious food, picking the daily special without even realizing and therefore saving more money, getting coffee while h was just brewed and SCENE pts to top it all off. This visit even helped me achieve my barfly badge. Great news all around.

Last visit: Jan 2014 Order: double beer braised beef sandwich with fries. I really liked the sandwich as it was a crispy beef du just sandwich. It was sweet, salty but on a crispy bun. Amazing. However the fries totally turned me off. Even though they used sea salt, I thought the fries were slightly soggy and not seasoned well enough. Even though I ordered the chipoltle mayo to go with it, I wasn't a big fan. In terms of the atmosphere, it lives up to its name for an Irish pub. Verdict: not a bad place if you're in the Heartland area and want some decent food and drink.

1 piece fish and chips - Wednesday special 9.99

2.5/5 Came here last night with a large group of friends. Our server was nice but barely waited on us. 2 hrs into dinner service she finally came back to get our food orders (and we did tell her we'd be ordering food after we received our drinks). The food was sub par. Nothing special at all. I think the best thing at our table was this burger with avocado and the chicken wings. I ordered the Wednesday special - 1 piece fish and chips. The fish was flavourless and the batter was soggy and I shared a calamari appetizer with a friend. The portions are huge but again the food is blahhhhh. It was all so blahhhhh!

Fionn MacCool's is located in the heart of heartland, great location with plenty of parking nearby. The apps are okay, we got the nachos, but they were dry. The cheese was baked for a little longer than needed. However our server was very upbeat and friendly. The beverages are great though! Overall, I wouldn't count their apps to satisfy my hunger..

Awesome place for food and drinks. Go on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday to hear live music or djs. I love coming here! The yorkie sheppards pies are to die for. If you come here for anything, you have to try them. The irish chips are killer. I can have just those all night with some drinks. If your just hanging with the froends for a fun chat consider coming here. The cocktails are super good. I like teying the different drinks / beers. its just an overall great place to eat, chat and feel awesome. If you wants an amazing evening this is where you need to be!!

I was immediately impressed when I walked inside, as the place has plenty of cool decor and boasts a dimly-lit feel that I find irresistible. As I scanned the menu, I was eventually drawn to the Bramble Burger ("House ground, Cheddar, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Bramble berry relish"), which comes with fries. And I feel like I made the right choice because it's one tasty hamburger. I wouldn't rank it with the best in the city, but all the components were right on target and I enjoyed the heck out of it. The fries were great, too. I don't know why it took us so long to check out Bramble Gastropub, but I think it's safe to say we'll be returning sometime very soon.

The fish and chips were overdone, I have never had fish a much deeper dark brown than the fries, which were golden. The fries were way-oversized potato wedges, which don't work well as fries. The tartar sauce and pickled cabbage were delicious along with the mushy peas. My girlfriend had the Cobb salad with chicken which was passable but not special. The service was prompt and drinks were perfect.

What a cute concept since Nomads are a member of a people having no permanent abode, and who travel from place to place. Their menu is exactly it they have food from Thailand, Indian, Cuba, Mexico, Italian, Japan and etc. I was super excited to try this place. When I tried to make reservations online you get an email after completing the form that someone would call you but no one called me so I wasn't sure If I had reservations when I arrived. The place was empty so it all worked out. When I tried to call the restaurant when they opened several times it goes straight to voicemail. Reservations process is not great. FYI- the restaurant turns into a club/lounge with security at the door after 10pm. Ambiance: It has a modern feel with a lot of high top tables a bit hard to get up. Restrooms are unisex which I'm not accustomed to yet. But it's clean. Service: There were several waitresses serving us. One particular lady was in training and was super nice to us and always coming to ask us what we wanted. If all the stars were based on service I would give them a 5/5 such friendly servers! Food: This is when it all went downhill unfortunately. I had to take off 3 stars for the food since the main reason I'm there is to eat. We started off with the tempura shrimp hand rolls. The tempura batter was tasteless and was not crispy like the way tempura was supposed to be done. It was more heavy battered like fish and chips. The rolls itself only had the tempura shrimps, avocado, and a huge chunk of wasabi secretly hidden that my friend nearly choked on! Lol overall not impressed and very plain. We had to drown it in soya sauce to get some taste to it. One of our mains was Pad Thai. I can make Pad Thai better at home and I can't cook! It was flavourless and too much tofu that tasted rubbery. The chicken pieces were huge. We joked that they got lazy and just threw the chunks in the pan. For $20 the portion size was so small and the flavour was bland. Stay away from this dish! The other main we got was the Cubana sandwich with the kettle chips. The chips tasted a bit stale and almost like plantain chips. The sandwich itself the bread was soggy with some weird sauce and the meat was dry what a weird combo. For dessert we had the key lime pie and I would have to say it was ok. I've had better but it wasn't bad. For drinks the white peace sangria was a bit watered down. All in all if you come for drinks the ambiance is nice, but food wise it fell flat. Service was excellent! We tried a few dishes and none of them were good. I really wish I would like this place since I was so excited about the concept. I probably won't be coming back again for dinner maybe drinks when it turns into a club.

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!
