Cyndi was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the whole process. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and helpful - she had an inordinate amount of patience (and tact!) in helping us navigate through the thousands of decisions that had to be made. She was adept at creating a cohesive design out of our rather ad hoc lists of likes and dislikes, and did so without imposing her own personal preferences or style. My husband and I also both appreciated that she was very pragmatic - she understood that we weren't interested in building a mansion and was very good about pointing out the areas where it made sense to spend and where it didn't. Her knowledge and contacts in the business were invaluable, both in terms of the quality of the workmanship we ended up with as well as access to resources that we would not have been able to find on our own. When it came time to order all our cabinets and countertops she handled every last detail, and made sure that what we ultimately received exactly matched her specifications. I was originally hesitant to hire a designer, both because of the additional cost and also because my husband and I are both fairly practical and were more interested in function over form. We have had several homes painted both inside and out and own several rental properties, so we have worked with many painting contractors over the years. Hands down, Gregory and Transformational Color are at the absolute top of any of our future painting needs. Gregory's integrity stood out immediately. Our initial walk-around consultation was in November, and instead of rushing the job in poor weather, he thoughtfully suggested waiting until spring for the best results. True to his word, he proactively followed up in April with a scheduled color meeting and a comprehensive proposal. To be honest, I originally read about his "color session" with some skepticism, thinking it was just a simple meeting to pick colors. It is so much more than that. You have to live with these decisions, so it needs to be a truly considered process. Don't pass up on the opportunity to have Gregory pick your brain about it. It will be worth it, believe me. During our color consultation, he offered fantastic expert advice. We went through several color changes prior to making our final decisions. We actually ended up adding to and modifying the plan twice--once suggested by him and once requested by me--which included changing the color of the downspouts versus the corner boards, and finally changing the rain gutter color and some major panels in the front of the home. These final touches really made the overall job pop! Gregory accommodated all of these changes with absolutely no price increase. He had one fantastic crew member who did an incredible job managing most of the prep work, pressure washing, daily clean-up, and touch-ups. Gregory was personally on-site for all the painting and in constant daily contact with me. He checked in regularly to discuss progress and brainstorm any thoughts or modifications I was considering. Instead of clean up and driving off at the end, Gregory insisted on a 100% touch-up walk-through, giving us plenty of time to live with and experience the workmanship first. The results are flawless!
