I am moving again next month and thought to support the business that had been fine in the past. WILDLY different experience. This time I text and then had to follow up call the next day to check availability and pricing. Upon discussion with Kenneth, determined availability on the day in question and provided a video walkthrough to help him determine pricing for a 3 br townhome moving 1 mile away. The amount I paid to have him move me in 3 years ago was the regional average (then and now) of $120/hr for a 2 man crew. The amount he quoted me today was FIVE TIMES the amount I paid him last for the EXACT SAME HOUSEHOLD of furniture. An unjustifiable 400% increase in price. When I inquired as to the astronomical increase he responded with a lackadaisical "My prices have increased over the years. Nothing personal". I went on to explain that there is a difference between price gauging and rate increase and wished him well. I then did a search of highly rated movers in the area and got quotes (which reiterated that the average rate is still as noted above) and hired another mover who knows how to run a business. All this to say, "Above average" is still only mediocre. Skip this guy and find someone else.

We paid $10,000 for our crawlspace to be encapsulated in 2023. I would think the key aspect of…read morekeeping the crawlspace dry is the dehumidifier. The one this company installed in 2023 quit working in 2024 after the one year warranty expired and I had to pay $1,000 to have another one installed. March 2025 the dehumidifier quit again. I called and they sent a technician out here and he said the company no longer uses those dehumidifiers. He inferred that they are of substandard quality and if I purchased another it would be quite expensive. He checked the dehumidifier and said my electrical outlet had switched it off. So, I paid an electrician to replace the outlet with one that doesn't automatically switch off. The dehumidifier continued to quit working. So, I asked an HVAC company to come and check it out. He said the dehumidifier is fills with water and cuts off because it isn't draining properly. He emptied it out and said it hadn't been correctly installed. He said it needed a condensation pump and the tubing needed to be replaced. I tried to reach someone at Crawlspaces and More and for weeks never received a return call. I finally received an email from Jim and he said he would come out and make sure the dehumidifier was on and charge me $200. I told them to forget it. I called a reputable company and they installed a very nice dehumidifier and replaced the door to my crawlspace. Ours was wood and rotted because it was decades old. They said Crawlspaces and More should have replaced it to thoroughly encapsulate the crawlspace. The new company installed a custom fit door that is air tight and sealed. I would not recommend Crawlspaces and More.
