I've been a Member with Cpi since 2013 where they got me is on the long term contract the sales associate came into my house installed the alarm system and camera and slipped a long term contract my mistake was i didn't read the contract and just signed the paperwork which was my mistake after a few months i got over with it and kept them as my alarm company, Which they where great until now December 2019 i get a call from there associate Chasity and she informs me my contract is about to run out and she wants to see what i want to do. I informed her im selling my old house and that i need to cancel my services and she informed me of a great special they have going on to see if i would take advantage of it in my new house. Well yet again i'm promised the entire world Chasity promised me she will replace my outdated locks that i purchased in 2013 to the newer once at no cost when the installer comes to my house on top of that i was already quoted a price and nothing was mentioned that i will be paying for a new keypad as ive already had an older one that the installed that came out to my old house to take my equipment out didn't take my keypad and i was informed i would get one for free which is another lie i paid for the package that i really didn't need as ive already paid for the package deal back in 2013. I did agree to pay for additional keypad in my master bedroom which i agreed, Mike who was the installer who was great from there company and was patient and worked his buns off to make sure im happy Thank you for your services. Soo everyone please go elsewhere or get everything in writing as this company doesn't care about your safety as well as i moved out my old alarm system was still active which was suppose to be disconnected on Jan 7 2020, until the alarm went off at my previous old house that i moved out thats when they cancelled my services there. I had a technician from CPI come to my home on Wednesday, January the 31st. His name is Chuck Rowland. He has been here before, and always resolves the problem. This time I knew that my garage door sensor was the problem. My maintenance worker had put new weather stripping around the casing of that door. He removed the old stripping first. I didn't think about my alarm system being compromised but it was adversely affected. Chuck's immediate supervisor was called and put on speaker phone; when I refused to let him check all of the sensors in my home. That in my opinion would have been a waste of his time, when I knew what had caused this problem. The supervisor was very irritated with Chuck and I. He kept saying that it was CPI's policy to check everything. I refused to let Chuck open my back sliding door, because I had 9 plants in front of that door. I did not want them to be damaged or possibly destroyed. This is where they are put in the winter. I also refused to let him open my windows in my Master Bedroom, because one of the latches was damaged and will be replaced in the Spring. It was very cold outside at 8:30AM in the morning. I was not happy with the tone of voice that his supervisor used or the words that came out of his mouth. A customer usually has a good idea of what the problem might be, and where. I even explained it, when I called in and made the service appointment. I didn't like how Chuck or I was treated by this mean and insensitive man. He needs to learn how to talk to people, period. Hat's Off to Chuck Rowland for doing a "GREAT" job, and having a humble spirit. He just simply let me try to talk, to this hateful mean man. The customer is always right and deserves the utmost respect. I didn't get it and neither did Chuck. CPI you need improvement in your management department, in my opinion. We have had CPI Security for the past year and a half and are very happy with their service. We recently contacted them about adding some additional equipment and fortunately for us they sent Chuck Rowland to our home. Chuck has been to our home once before and not only is he a fantastic technician/installer but he always goes out of his way to explain things, make suggestions, and thoroughly checks the entire system to make sure everything is working properly before he leaves. On top of that he is just a super guy . When we had our system installed (someone else did the initial installation) there were several features I was unaware we even had so I had not been using them and Chuck was quick to point them out and also give me several other recommendations to keep our home safe and secure. I have been a customer of CPI since the early 80's. Recently moved from NC to GA and invited CPI to provide security for my new home. Two techs, Mike and Chris came to my home at the appointed time and spent several hours upgrading the existing system hardware. They made sure that we were comfortable with the new equipment and processes by answering all of our questions and providing an in depth demonstration of the control panel and mobile app. Technology has come a long way since the 80's. He worked tirelessly to install the panel in the spot we requested, thoroughly explained the system's operations and cleaned up before he left. I've had CPI for over 5 years and the service is exceptional. I have referred my Mother and Aunt who both have service in their homes. Richard Densmore has been to my home twice. Once to check my system for overall system health and another time to resolve small system issues. They have charged me ongoing for a year. I stopped their service last August 2021. Ive called and called its a joke. My bank is handling it for me. Ive reported it as fraud. Ill be going to better business bureau etc. Id stay away from this company. They have tons of terrible reviews read more
