After narrowing my list down, they allowed me to take home several samples for consideration. Everyone seemed determined that I make the best choice regarding what I needed. My mom took her Bernina in here for a routine lube and cleaning as well as for a stuck feed dog…read moredrop mechanism. When she picked it up, the mechanism was still stuck and the technician (also part owner of the shop) told her that "it happens on those machines" and she would just have to "wiggle it until it comes free". I don't know if he's lazy, dumb, or both, but the service manual tells how to fix this. A few taps with a hammer and the addition of some oil got everything working. Every other Bernina shop my mom has brought this machine to has returned it to her in good-as-new condition. Fashion Fabrics is, IMO, the worst place to take a Bernina. Sew Suite in Summerville is worth the drive.
